Or Nortei Nortey. Now thats a fantastic name.

We should be signing Ryan Lowe in the next few weeks hopefully, also been linked to Liam McAlinden. Doubt we'll get him, any offers higher than a packet of skittles and a can of coke and we'll lose out.

Christ Ryan Lowe is never going to retire is he? Great to see him still banging them in though he'd be a great signing for you in League Two.

Apparently we're close to signing Andrew Boyce after his release from Scunny, seemed an inevitable one when their retained list came out given the loan spells he had here. Looked a class act in non league and a good solid signing.

4 centre backs mind and 4 very very good ones at that, wouldn't be surprised to see one depart.

I'll give you Gowling, but Toto isn't really that great when I've seen him. Not sure who your other one is.

Dont underestimate the difference between Conf and L2 now though - it's easy to stand out as a CB down there but up here it's very different.

Other is Pearson. You're seriously underestimating Toto, he's a superb prospect at 24. He makes the odd mistake occasionally which he'll eradicate in time but he's got all the physical aspects to take him further than league 2.

Whenever I've seen Nsiala play he's like bambi on ice. I don't think you've got any top end league two centre halves of the quality of a Legge, Pierre or Dembele.

Anyone jizzing themselves over signing Boyce needs to be sectioned.

One of the worst centre halves I've ever seen at Pools.

Ah of course - I'd got him and Magnay confused, thought he'd been offloaded to Hartlepool. Out of the 3 I'd say Pearson is your strongest, again from the little I've seen, and the most able to adapt or step up. Toto though seems a bit lacking.

Those odd occasions get punished more often than not at this level.

Pearson is the one who attracted interest from Barnsley last summer however stayed with us and found himself on the bench most of the season. Model professional though and highly praised.

As for how good any of our players are at this level, I've no idea not really followed league 2 since we dropped down, am sure the players we keep will be good enough to hold there own to avoid a relegation battle, whether any are good enough for a side looking to get promoted I'll leave that to the experts. No doubt we need to improve in most areas if we are to be comfortable though.

How many times have you realistically seen them play? Pearson has barely featured this season, he's a great option to have but he's not been better than Toto or Gowling.

I know we're making a step up, obviously the quality is higher. However one thing we've always had is a strong back line at the club, our 3 centre backs could all hold their own up here I've no doubt about that. It's our midfield that needs addressing.

Calling Boyce a 'class act' in non-league is a bit OTT.

I remember us signing Gowling from Bournemouth. He wasn't very good to say the least! Although to be fair that was League One. We ended up giving him away to someone, can't remember who.

Gowling is a bog standard League Two defender. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very nice chap though.

Reports that we've signed Scottish midfielder Joe McKee from Morton on a free transfer. The club have yet to make an announcement saying they don't comment on new signings until everything is finalised, but McKee has confirmed it in an interview with his local rag.

Tommy Rowe signed official. 3 year deal.

This guy was seriously class for us on loan, we mean business.

Would expect you lot to be top three.

Think we'll be in for Curtis Main, like. What with his NE connections. He'd surely be a good player in L2?

Newport have signed defender Jamie Turley from Eastleigh on a two-year deal.

Doncaster should be strong, but I remember thinking last summer that Orient would piss this league with the likes of Simpson, Cox, Baudry, McAnuff etc.

It's clear that Fergie is being backed but he's got to put a team together and given this seasons shambles the jury's out.

He puts a shift in, I think it was a case of being dropped and then not performing when picked which got the crowd on his back, leading to a lack of confidence at our place. Definitely a player who needs to feel loved. Just don't expect 20 goals, 8 to 10, yes.

I've never really seen him play but Hignett will only take players who are good technically. We are after a striker though. Looked up his record, it's not that great but then he's nearly always played at a higher level than this (apart from his time as a Darloid).

I had him on FM once and he was really shite but had like 19/20 free kick taking.

Technically gifted he is not.

Was only a kid with us, in crap teams. Worked hard, but missed more than he scored and became a bit of a scapegoat. Agree he's a confidence player. Hignett will know him from the Boro, so he obviously thinks he's good enough. I liked him.
