Happy with the Joyce signing.

Someone told me yesterday it was happening and at first I was unsure but thinking back he's always performed well against us for Stanley and he's a seasoned league 2 player who'll give 100%. I like how our midfield is shaping up as long as we keep Dempsey.

3-5-2 is sooooooooooo overrated.
It kept us up when we changed to it.

It depends on personnel, you need full backs/wing backs who can get up and down the pitch quick.

Our experience of it was not enjoyable because our wing backs were crap. How many decent wing backs are there in League Two?

We've got Patrick Brough at left wing back who suits it perfectly and has just gone 19 years old, but no right wing back as of yet. We had Hayden White on loan last year who would've been ideal on the right but would probably cost a bit much to buy.

We've signed Michael Raynes on a 1 year deal.

What a fucking dog shit signing that is! List Archibald-Henville and sign Raynes. :bang:

Christ is he still going?! Didn't really rate him when he played for us at the start of his career, surprised he's still in the football league.

Another solid signing, we're building up a decent spine to the team now. All we need is Messi and Ronaldo when the billionaire comes in.

Alfie Potter joins up with Chris Wilder again at Northampton - good luck to him, top bloke and great on his day.

Been told by an inside source that we are in for Kevin Lisbie

What is he like Orient fans?

Jed Wallace gone to Wolves on a 3 year deal. A steal at 275k if that is correct!

Signed Kyle Bennett on a 2 year deal, apparently Dickov isn't happy. Bless.

Getting on a bit now isn't he? Must he late 30s.

From facing Orient in recent seasons in league one, he's still good, intelligent, gets into good positions and finishes well.

Not quite. We signed him on loan from Wigan in 05/06, when he was only 18. We then made the deal permanent.

He probably suffered a bit with the clubs rise up to the top of league one in the following seasons. Could never really establish himself due to the quality of players we had, hence us offloading him to Accrington.

He's obviously matured as a player and looks much stronger. Very good signing in my opinion.

But according to wikipedia we took over his schoolboy contract or something, so technically he counts as ours :P

I'm not looking forward to next season due how inexperienced a manager Murray is (He's come across poor tactically so far)

But I think it's best to wait a while untill we can say that we are completely fucked.

Just hope we keep Thomas and Tafazolli from being snapped up by L1/Championship clubs.

You could ask the same question about most positions in this league. Its league two and the vast majority of players are average, I can pretty much guarantee right now we won't sign a single player that will have fans of other clubs stating it's a stand out signing. You can probably count those on a couple of hands.

Yep, hearing between 275k-300k but without him we'd have been a right relegation scrap seeing as Awford was useless.

Good to see us sign Bennett at the same time, and with rumours of Ryan, Roberts and Stevens all signing soon it should soften the blow.

They would be 3 very good signings at this level.

Absolutely. I heard they've got rid of Bingham, how can they replace him??

They have?! Weird how no-one's mentioned it on here.

You'd have thought there'd be a 3-page thread somewhere, considering Hartlepool had to fight off Barcelona for his signature. Literally.

I seen Gerard Piqué sparring with some old geezer, it's safe to say Ronnie Moore got fucked up.

Guardiola was going for him but didn't fancy him. Ronnie Moore stepped in, spotted a diamond in the rough and made him his highest earner. Apparently if he doesn't win the Champions League as player/manager within 3 years Ronnie's putting him against a wall and shooting him.

Yep, it sounds daft but I keep seeing rumours about it, our local news keep bringing him up everytime they mention Ryan. Obvisouly the main driving forces behind a move would be Paul Cook and a larger salary as he's a very good player in league so shouldn't be dropping down a division.

The wing-back position is surely one of the most difficult positions on the pitch though. You can't just stick a clogger there and be competitive.
