David Syres?Anyone recognise this blonde lad? A trialist playing in a friendly tonight over in Germany.
Maybe; we have Tom Lockyer who is destined for better things, then we have James Clarke and Mark McCrystal who also play CB.
I was pretty underwhelmed at the Hartley signing if i'm honest, but they you cant really knock a manager who has got us two successive promotions.
Bradley was one of the players I mentioned on our forum last month as a possible target, you lot have done well there imo!
We did Championship to non league in 7 years so i get where you're coming from lol!
Supposedly we have winger Isaac Vassell on trial with us at the moment. 22-year old, who scored 20 times in 40 league appearances for Truro City after being released from Plymouth Argyle. He had been on trial for Torquay United.
We've also got Lewis Kinsella training with us at the moment, who played for us on loan from Aston Villa about 18 months ago - he looked pretty poor then to be honest.
As a poster on Outlaws just pointed out, Kinsella is shite but we do need another left back for pre-season given that our 2nd choice left back is also our 1st choice centre back - without a trialist LB hanging around, either Potts or Sheehan would have to play 90 minutes in every pre-season friendly, which would be a bad idea. Not sure if the Kinsella thing is true or not but I'd be surprised if we didn't take on a trialist LB sooner rather than later because of that.
Vassell is a moderately interesting one if true, good record last season and from what I can gather is equally comfortable wide left or through the middle (another right footer though). I would think he'd have to be pretty impressive in his trial period to get a contract given that he'd be in fairly direct competition with Marriott and new signing Cook (Hylton is nailed on as the main striker, so if we play 4-3-3 Marriott will be the wide left forward and obviously if we play two up top he'll be alongside Hylton).
Why would we need to bring in a trialist left back for that though? Just play McJannet from the youth team, would be valuable experience for him.

Andy Hessenthaler has said he wants one more centre half and that he wants it to be an experienced one.
Seeing as we've paid transfer fees for Gavin Massey and Liam Kelly already, you may want to lock up your centre halfs
Can't think of too many decent lower league centre halfs who are still without clubs.
Think how many 40 year-olds they could sign with £3million!
Signed for ShrewsEl-Abd?
The latter certainly won't be signing - we don't need him.Would be totally underwhelmed with Vassell and Kinsella. We need more quality, not those two.
