Would be a good week if we sign Lee Holmes and Lewis Price, few people suggesting were after Scott Loach who i know nothing about. We Desperately need a decent keeper this year! Impressed so far with murrays three tiered recruitment process, should have some better players coming in compared to last season.

Too early to say but York and Newport to go?

I'd be happy with Price. Not sure if we will offer him the wages though. Wasn't he on about 5k at Palace? With Green signing can we afford to be offering someone else around 2k+ a week? Price and Loach both would be big earners. Loach is a local lad though, I'd love either of them but Loach has played alot more games so I'd prefer him. Can't see it but I do agree we need a good goalkeeper this year instead of relying on loans.

16/1 you can get on Luton with 365 at the moment, worth a punt?

Michael Gash has never impressed me when I see him play against us. Was always just a bit of a lump who couldn't get around the pitch it seemed. Akinde & Lisbie is a decent partnership though.

Pretty quiet on our forum rumour wise, both signings so far weren't mentioned prior to signing but one that is is Keith Keane, I know he used to be half decent but I've no idea what he's like nowadays.

Love Keano, proper battler.

Surpised a League One team hasn't picked him up, he's good enough for that level.

A lot of good players being signed of late. Probably shows the disadvantage of getting to the play off final as you're already playing catch up.

I don't doubt Green is on a good wage, but 2k? I somehow doubt it considering the last two seasons.

I do know that we offered more than that to try and stop Birmingham signing him.

I'd be extremely surprised if you'd got Green for less than 2k a week

I know what you mean but it ultimately depends on the club in question, Burton last year went on to win the league after losing in the play-off final.

On the flip side there's normally one of the play-off losers that totally drops away, will more than likely be us from this years bunch. Wigan and Orient were relegated in there respective leagues following play-off campaigns and York were battling to stay up for most of the season.

I'm feeling pretty bullish at the moment - I think both signings are upgrades from their direct replacements. Jack Marriott for Ricky Miller, Scott Cuthbert for Fraser Franks.

Apparently another signing this week that will show 'intent', although I hate that word. We're still in talks with Abu Ogogo supposedly.

All about getting in that top 7, but we've got to be pushing for that top 3.

I still remain to be convinced that Wycombe will put another strong season together with their squad levels.

I'd think Green would be on about 2.5k. Even that is a 50% cut from what he was on at Birmingham,

I've stuck £15 e/w on Luton. Just pondering whether to stick a ton on you to finish in the Top 7. 13/10 with SkyBet! Got to be a sound bet?

We're after one of lutons strikers apparently, not sure which one but my guess would be either benson or Cullen, you've rejected our first approach and we're going in for one more, if it's still no after that then we will move on to someone else.

Luton will be top 3 next season, you won't need to worry about the play offs.

I'm going to quote Kenny from the start of this season
'Barnet wont win the Conference'

In return I will predict that Luton wont get relegated ;)

Where you picking that up from? I can only see that Tom Elliott is signing for Luton?!

The Elliott thing is a typical first-post-by-new-name-Outlaws-poster bullshit story, no legs whatsoever.

Can't see Arbury's story having much to it either. I think Cullen will move on, but it's unlikely to be someone else in this league given he was making all the noises about wanting to play at a higher level a few months ago. Even if he's changed his mind, Cullen would be a long, long way out of your price range if the rumours of fees we rejected in February are anything close to accurate. As for Benno, I can't see a) Money wanting Benson, b) Still even considering letting Benson go, or c) Benson even considering leaving given his love-in with Still. Although you are absolutely welcome to either of them for a reasonable fee as I don't think either would be hard to replace, I can't see it at all.

The only other striker we have currently under contract (apart from Marriott who we only signed a couple of days ago) is Ross Lafayette, who is nowhere near good enough for this level. And as he's transfer listed, I don't see us rejecting any approach for him even if by some miracle a League Two club was interested.

just what I've been told and they'll reliable, never been wrong before anyway.

As for big Tom, I haven't heard anything, maybe a replacement for benson if he leaves but I can't see it myself.

I'd wait until seeing who we sign up front and in wide areas before betting on us for top 3 that's for sure. One seemingly very good signing and one with potential but very much a time will tell signing, still a long, long way to in our mini-rebuild just yet.

I'd expect us to be top 7 though, we barely missed out this season despite a quite spectacular fuck-up from February onwards. We'll be stronger next season than we were this year for sure, and in theory we don't need a massive improvement to take that next step.

Mind you, the League as a whole probably will be too - it certainly couldn't get much worse than it was last year. Cambridge and Oxford already looking like they will be much stronger, Pompey almost certainly will be giving it a real go.

The Elliott thing definitely isn't true. It came from a first time Outlaws poster and was immediately shot down by an actual ITK type as bullshit. Completely made up.

We're about to sign young West Ham defender Dan Potts apparently:
https://twitter.com/westham_central/status/603307535437795328

Just checked and he's a left back so makes sense, we desperately needed another option as Griffiths had fitness issues this season.

I see he was on loan at Pourtsmouth a couple of seasons ago, any thoughts Pompey fans?

Pompey will end up with the strongest squad on paper, don't think that's really in any doubt at this stage.

Not sure what the likes of York, Hartlepool and Carlisle have done to be fancied over us by the bookies. But then again, they're never right.

I can promise we'll be top 7.

The Cambridge thing could be Angol? Think we'd get a fee as he is under 24 and we have offered him something.

Scored a lot last season at Borehamwood but just about the only poster on outlaws who has a clue and is genuinely ITK reckons he isn't that great. Can't comment either way as I've not seen him.

I'd be a bit disappointed if we did lose him as he's young and done well in a loan spell but Miller scored 30 at that level and was shit, so difficult to tell what you're getting.

Just purely speculating but I would think he wants 1st team football at this level next season and perhaps Still hasn't given him an indication he will get it here.

Hmm, could be a possibility although we wouldn't be able to reject an approach from Cambridge as Arbury suggested had happened. He's out of contract, and although we would be due a compensation fee (which will be next to nothing seeing as he has never played for us), Cambridge are free to talk to the player and discuss terms without our permission.
