Ross Etheridge recalled from his loan spell at Alfreton by Doncaster Rovers.

His last minute inclusion as a lack of communication between himself and the defenders in front of him cost us a win v Salford but without him we would had lost away to Telford and his magnificent point blank save in the last seconds at home to Telford was incredible.

Nice to hear he's made an impression, our youth team goalie is injured hence the recall.

We've signed centre back Jakub Sokolik, which looks a decent signing on paper, and Nathan Blissett signing at the weekend assuming he passes the medical.

The CB signing seems to indicate that Karleigh Osbourne is on his way out, as we have plenty of centre backs now and he hasn't made a competitive start since joining. A shame as he was one of our 'bigger name' signings in the summer and it clearly hasn't worked out.

Regarding Blissett who knows? We've had quite a few non league gems now who've shone at Argyle. The last striker signed from non league we were all underwhelmed by was Ryan Brunt and he was fantastic before tearing his knee ligaments a year ago, should hopefully be back soon. I'll wait before casting judgement!

Admire the optimism but big Bliss isn't exactly an unknown gem rising from obscurity. He's been round the block more times than Lindsey Dawn Mackenzie. Lovely bloke but just not a very good striker.
Ryan Brunt wasn't plucked from non league either.

Fair enough, thought he was 23 but just seen he's 26. Possibly his last chance to play in the football league, hopefully he is hungry enough for it.

Still, if we'd listened to Crawley and Pompey fans reviews of Sonny Bradley when we signed him in the summer who'd have thought we'd now be saying he's been our best player all year? Adams has a reputation growing of getting the best out of players who clearly have a bit of talent but not been able to make the most of it elsewhere eg. Slew, Jervis, Bradley, Carey, Goodwillie starting to show glimpses of what we know he can do.

And didn't we sign Brunty off you when you were in the conference?

Brunt played 3 times for us in the conference. Otherwise his entire career has been in the football league. Not what I think of as a non league gem.

We've extended Macauley Gillesphey's loan from Newcastle until the end of the season.

Plymouth close to signing prolific striker Nathan Blisset.
God help the rest of you.
Always reminded me of watching a giraffe run. That said, him and Gash ripped us apart in a ten minute spell for Kidderminster a couple of seasons ago.

Good signing providing he's played as a central defender, he's not good enough on the left.

We've brought in Sid Nelson on loan until the EOS, will hopefully improve our defence.

Mitch Beeney and Alex Davey return to Chelsea.

Beeney was never really given a chance but he seemed an ok keeper.

Alex Davey was a puzzle to me. He looks like a very decent centre half. He could tackle, jump and head but every time he played the goals flowed into our net. So much so that if I saw he was playing I immediately knew we would lose.

I imagine Chelsea will be loaning them out to someone new.

Just signed Sean Kavanagh from Fulham on loan, LB apparently?

Was at Mansfield last year?

Few rumors for us is that we have made a second take it or leave it bid to Solihull for Jamey Osbourne, apparently the player is keen but Solihull want more after appearing to be now disappointed with onky taking 30k of us for Bogle!
We are also apparently interested in Asante from Solihull.

And today it looks like we have had a bid turned down by Gateshead for midfielder Sam Jones.

started one game and got ripped apart against luton, lost 2-0 second goal his fault

He was far too lightweight for league two and looked like a small boy against the most average league two player. Think he was good on the ball but couldn't defend, couldn't go forward and in all wasn't a very successful loan for him.

Are Solihull Grimsby's feeder club?

Sounds like our current left back..

Can't see us signing another defender in all honesty, unless he's trying to mastermind some 8-1-1 formation.

Bogle has decided he is ready for first team action, so will be playing for us on Saturday vs our reserves.

Shrewsbury have taken Alex Rodman off our hands for some reason. He's not as bad as is made out but is a mediocre League Two player at best so I'm not sure what they're playing at.

Below average League Two right back with no outstanding attributes from his time at Luton. Obviously didn't do much at Cambridge either. Might be okay at Conference level but I wouldn't expect him to be a stand-out.

Are Solihull Grimsby's feeder club?

If signing one player of them 18 months ago, taking their manager and then said manager wishing to sign his two best players from his time there is classed as being a feeder club, then yes they are.

Cambridge fans, is Sean Long any good?

What Dredd said!

Started the season as first choice RB, was bombed out (not as quickly as I'd have liked) of the starting XI alongside Dallison. Offered nothing in attack, couldn't pass and was out of position a lot of the time. Not quite sure how he's made it this far to be honest with you.
