Is he?

So he already has two of them, one is due to sign and he's known to want Akinola. Makes you think.
Now that it's getting close to where footballers aren't getting paid and they are returning from Benidorm, I'd expect there to be a bit more activity in general over the coming two weeks
Is it a bit worrying that Cowley thinks Andy Cook is L2 standard, Imps?

Apart from Pelly Ruddock and Jonathan Smith on the transfer list, there are no players in our squad that got promoted with us from the Conference. Obviously Andre Gray and Cameron McGeehan have now gone onto bigger and better things, but the rest simply weren't good enough. Is this the same League 2 that's one league above the conference? You're making it sound like a 3 step jump. Don't flatter yourselves.
Hasn't Andy cook scored something like 60 league goals in the last 3 years? Surely the more outlandish statement is yours SOC suggesting he's definitely NOT good enough.
And Rowe and Bradley are both quality as well. Rowe currently playing for Ipswich in the champ but neither would get near League 2 Luton Town's starting XI that's for sure...

And I dare say the Conference is/was far weaker than when we got promoted from that level.
One of those seasons was in the Conference North though, wasn't it? He did well at Barrow the season before, but Mellon preferred Stockton over him when it came to crunch time, didn't he? Because he goes missing and he's too wishy washy and misses chances. He's a good Conference striker when he is playing at the top of his game, but yes I completely stand by saying that he is not good enough for this division.Hasn't Andy cook scored something like 60 league goals in the last 3 years? Not especially. Only natural when someone scores as many as he does that you'd assume they'd make the step up. Cook's scored about 100 in 4 seasons (23 last season at Tranmere without even being what you'd call a regular under Mellon). From what the Tranmere lot were saying, Mellon dropped him because of fitness related issues and he can't keep his weight down.Is it a bit worrying that Cowley thinks Andy Cook is L2 standard, Imps?
Paul Mullin allegedly signing for Swindon tomorrow. What can we expect?

I'd have taken pretty much anyone over Scott Vernon though, including Cook. I liked Cook for us too, I'm not just arguing for the sake of it. And yeah, you can say it wasn't down to ability as to why he got dropped at Tranmere, but if he isn't at peak fitness and if he is letting his missed chances get to him then you've got two reasons that strengthen my argument surely? From the little bit of Stockton I saw last season, I'd have had him here over Cook for sure.Correct one season was in NLN. Scoring goals is the most difficult part of the game and what you tend to find is if you can do it in one league you can certainly do it in the one above. Given the service of course which a player like Cook requires.
From what Tranmere fans say Mellon not starting him during the run was not down to ability. Plus he'd just come back from a lay off and Tranmere were putting 9 and 6 past sides.
I struggle to see how you think he wouldn't improve a lot of League 2 sides. What did your leading scorer finish on for example after Bogle left, 5?
Struggling to find any opinions at all on this Mullin fella.
I don't think there are any Morecambe fans on here BB.
That same twitter site with the Paul Mullin rumour also suggests we are signing Ben Purkiss from Vale. I see he is captain so I doubt that unless Vale don't want/need him?

Wow seriously, Paul Mullin from Morecambe?
Damn I thought we had it bad but you guys must really be in the shit!
