I think it's more likely Wigan offered more upfront, and the actual value of the transfer was similar.
In interview not long after Bogle was sold Bignot said that Bogle is now a 7 figure player so unless he is including pence in those figures then it was 1M+.

Josh Coulson is going out on loan to Leyton Orient for 6 months. So I imagine this means we're finally getting a new centre back.

Pleased for Josh, just hope we see him in a U's shirt again one day. As you say, frees up room for a new centre back.

That's a great signing for Orient. They're putting a very tidy Conference squad together.

On Bogle, what a way to run a business. Spend £750,000 on him, give him a big expensive long contract and then decide after 12 league games he doesn't fit into their style of play.

What bollocks.

It's Bogle kicking off and wanting to play in the Championship according to a fair amount of sources. If someone like QPR doesn't take him, I expect him to start up front for Wigan and probably do well for them.

Maybe he should of thought of that before signing a contract with Wigan. What a cabbage.

I reckon he almost certainly would have gone to Leeds if they'd have actually come in for him.

L1 is the right level for him now and he'll be in a strong team at the right end of the table, you'd assume. I reckon he's dropped a clanger here. Hit 20+ goals for Wigan and a bigger Championship side will be in for him next season. Grimsby and Wigan though, that's some going in the grim Northern town stakes.

Alternatively he could come to the revolution at Tory heartland Mansfield, with a brand spanking new Hilton Hotel shortly arriving at Field Mill.

Any truth in Tom Miller returning or is it just a Twitter rumour?
As Luke says rumours abound he could return and it was very odd an Imps blog writer did an article on him the other day who gets inside info was even odder.
It has something to do with the fact apparently a player is returning to play right back for us, granted he's playing for you guys tonight.
I know our manager is very busy just now trying to get a right and left back.

We were apparently announcing a new signing today but it will now be tomorrow.

Names include Tyler Walker from forest on loan.

Also Yussuf leaving for Barrow tomorrow, so if true the new signing is likely to be a striker.

I feel like something is there with Yussuf in terms of raw talent anyway.

Suprised Grimsby took him on mind, step down is right move for him.

We're set to continue our raid on the Forest under 23 ranks by signing defender Alex Iacovitti and midfielder Ryan Yates on loan. The latter sounds particularly interesting, having had a really good spell in League One with Shrewsbury at the back end of last season.

We only need them to decide to send Tyler Walker out now for the set! :D
Nope, he was bang average actually.

I've heard it's someone with the same name as me and SoC.

Sibbald update. Folk on the Falkirk forum saying he has returned to Falkirk after we have decided not to offer a contract. Seems to be the case as he is not involved against Scunthorpe today.

Always seemed a bit odd that we seemed so tentative when a big fee was involved so probably not surprising.

Anderson Garnett (one of our contracted centre half's) played the second half for Aldershot in a friendly. I presume he is trying to get a contract or a loan deal there but no information from the club about it.

He does need to play at this stage if his career so I can't blame him.

Look to be signing Kyle Knoyle. Right back released by West Ham.

Jermaine Easter has turned down our contract offer, but Way hopes to have another forward signed in the next few days, would imagine it's Louis Rooney who has been on trial for most of pre-season.

would be annoying if we have this new link with Forest - get 3 players on loan and one isn't Walker when we need a striker.

We had Nicky Hunt and Eddie Lecgyne on trial today. Don't really want or need Hunt but it's seemed likely all summer with the Nolan connection.

Very annoyed we are going to start the season without at least one young and probably bad back-up striker than I can say 'Get {....} on for Stead' every week at 3.10pm.

You're ok it wasn't Tyler Walker we announced, it was left back Paul Dixon.

Luton will not be following up their interest in Craig Sibbald after two trial periods. He has undoubted quality, but we already have too many similar players and his inevitable £250,000 fee would be difficult to justify if he wasn't demonstrably better than our current crop.

Watch him sign for Mansfield this week...

I cannot contain my excitement for the conclusion to this Sinbad fella to Luton saga that seems to be dominating the transfer window this summer

Don't be too downhearted Tommo, but it looks like Sinbad won't be joining Luton after all.

He must be really shit then if you rejected him but signed mad Gav Gunning!

Well once Lawrie Wilson was signed it was always going to be pointless signing Eardley but wasn't fit. Gunning will likely be back up behind Smith and Kay although if we don't sign a left back this week he may have to be played at left back as he was in today's friendly!

All gunning has to be is better than Sam Hart Scott tanser or Calvin McIntosh who we had in defence for some games last season and I'm pretty confident he will be better than them.
