All gunning has to be is better than Sam Hart Scott tanser or Calvin McIntosh who we had in defence for some games last season and I'm pretty confident he will be better than them.

To be fair you and I could replace Tanser and Mac-Intosch! Hart looked ok at times but was played out of position a lot under mad Bruno.

The forum the other night with all the staff was excellent and extremely positive, let's hope Darren Wrack can get us a left back and creative midfielder in next week!

Gunning was an absolute travesty in the 5-0 at our place in February, easily one of the worst opposition centre-halves I've seen at the Alex!

The clip from that game of him absolutely nailing your striker was nuts. The lad literally went flying like a rag doll.

Appears to be an absolute nut case although sure i read he's only ever been sent off twice? Be interesting to see if Chris Morgan can control him. A disagreement in training between them would be interesting.

Yeah, he wasn't on peanuts here and his injury/discipline record isn't great. I imagine a club will be looking at him as more a 3rd striker / impact player than as the main man.

We had a trialist midfielder come on yesterday for the last 20 mins, heard that it was Smile but might be wrong. If it was someone new seems strange to only give him 20 minutes though.

Eardley joined us last season when both of our RB's were out injured and let no one down. Defensively he is rock solid. Didnt offer a ton going forward but he would be a good RB at this level for sure. Only reason we didnt keep him is out other full backs came back to fitness and are still under contract for this season.

Granted it was a friendly against 75% strength Walsall but he linked up really well with our wide players when he went forward on Saturday.

Been confirmed today that Jack Williams a left back has signed on loan for 5 months from QPR,if Joe Jacobson stays fit or suspension free i doubt he'll play that often except maybe in cups.
