Woolford looks a pretty good signing provided he keeps fit, well happy with Matt and Woolford.

He was good for us eight years ago. Has done fuck all since. Fired us to the Championship so I will always like him.

Harry Middleton signs from Doncaster. Seems to have features a fair bit for them last season so might be ok.

Our defence is shocking so let's sign strikers and wingers and play one up front....

We've signed Tom Anderson on loan from Burnley. Has played a lot on loan for Chesterfield recently, any good?
Shit mate, never been a footballer

If we manage to keep Cooper and Jones we'll have had a fantastic transfer window.

All dead wood released, signed quality throughout the ranks, only gripe is we didn't sign a natural RB but after years of shocking business under Davis, finally we're looking upwards.

Keeping Cooper and Jones are pivotal though if we want a serious push for promotion this season. As long as there are no departures from Gresty Road this evening, I'm confident we can be one of the better sides in this division this season.
Yep, we're done it seems. Keeping Jones was more a stroke of fortune than anything the club did well, but I'm not going to complain. We might only get 2 months of him before Preston come back in January, but we'll worry about that then.

I agree we've had an excellent window. Improved in every department. How much improved, we'll find out in the next 4 months. But signs are good, new boys are all chipping in and the 2 new lads look promising.

It's probably Akinola from us. We have brought in an 18 year old so can let him go. Played him out of position as a striker and when he moves on he will score for fun like Coulson has.

To be fair we didn't have all that much up top to shout about either. It's slightly better now.

Our DoF has tweeted to say the business will not end today.

That's us done and dusted then.

We've loaned Matt Worthington to Yeovil, and I can't understand it. He's basically our central midfield and right back cover, two areas we're very light in. And I think he should perhaps be playing at a higher level if he does go on loan.

Should be a decent signing for Yeovil. Meanwhile we'll pray our only proper right back stays fit!

Interesting... Yeovil have signed a player who could be a Premiership understudy. He's either going to be shit hot, or just shit.

Our media guy said about forty minutes ago that deadline day dealings will be a hot topic at Keith Curle's press conference tomorrow, and then went home and left it at that.

So get ready for us to announce the signing of fucking nobody.

Was pretty good for us a few seasons ago.
Head like a 50p, absolutely zero ability with the ball and doesnt even appear to run properly! he's so awkward. Like a 1970's CB

Johnson has said that there will probably still be 1 or 2 free agent signings, and possible loans out to Conference clubs.

Expect to see Jordan Mustoe announced in the next week or so and possibly Dan Holman to a Conny team.

Shot through a window, with the chairman putting everyone in their place. Rest of you are amateurs. About to blow this league wide open.

We have sold Tyreeq Bakinson to Bristol City. Genuinely gutted. Young player who could have been huge for us. Ominously the tweet says that's first part one. Hopefully not lost anyone else.

Edit

Just read the story. Fairly obviously the Jones and Sweet are unhappy with Tyreeq and his dad. Hinted at a change in attitude and felt he should be in the first team immediately. Not sure going to Bristol City will help with that...

Has he improved at all since he joined you. I always felt he was ok but had a bit of "maturing" to do. Chances are he will get plenty of game time as we're not exactly flush with centre halves.

I read it a bit differently, Bakinson basically saying he doesn't feel he is developing in our youth team and wanted more first team chances. That's absolutely fair enough and he should have been given them seeing as our midfield was broadly shite last season. Over the summer we dramatically improved our midfield, further reducing Bakinson's potential game time, and he said fcuk it, if I'm going to be playing u23 football it might as well be higher up the chain and lo and behold...

Can't really fault Bakinson's take based on that article regardless of the accusatory tone Jones has tried to paint it with. I really do like Jones but for all the talk he hasn't given youth much of a chance outside of the Checkatrade, Justin being the only real exception. Even in the Checkatrade he reverted to a strong team once Wembley was in sight.

That article to me basically says if Bakinson had been given any real encouragement he'd have a reasonable shot of some minutes in league games he would have stayed, but Jones would prefer a squad with Cook and Gambin in so off he goes.

Knowing 2020 though it's probably a fuck off massive fee so never mind.

He was injured for a long time and he's only appeared about 15 times but he's always looked a good player for this level when I have seen him, plus he did a good job at Burton.

Give him a good run in the team and I'm sure he will become a important player for you injury depending as he's prone.

Signed Aaron Jarvis, 19 year old striker from Basingstoke. No idea, but was supppsed to be on the night shift at Tesco tonight. Seriously.

Hopefully another of Big Micks gems...

Love a signing like this personally, although it's not exactly an inspiring series of quotes from Jones (basically we wanted him on trial, couldn't do it, decided to gamble anyway, can always get him a loan if he turns out to be nowhere near).

Sounds like we weren't sure but pulled the trigger early anyway probably in response to the Bakinson deal going through and having cash to burn.

Story is we have signed a second player but it's all hush hush.
I'm hoping it's Josh Wright but that's probably wishful thinking.
