Gillingham interested in Keanu Marsh Brown of FGR.

Not surprised, Pennock signed him for us, loves wingers. Will Scally stump up the cash?

Carl Baker leaves Portsmouth by mutual consent. Now to wait and see if he comes back here.

Excited about the signings we've made this year.

Gotta be targeting automatic promotion.

We've signed Tom Anderson on loan from Burnley. Has played a lot on loan for Chesterfield recently, any good?

We had him on loan in the Conference from Burnley, albeit 3 years ago.

At that time, he was a bit of a head on a stick in the sense that he wasn't a ball playing defender. No real pace, but rarely got caught out and was comfortably winning stuff in the air.

Stockley will do great for us I'm sure. Great stuff.

Also signed Kyle Edwards who's a winger/ forward from West Brom. Very quick and skillful apparently.

Colchester have signed Brandon Hanlan on loan until January.

A striker who's been on the fringes of our first team for a couple of years. Broke into it last season and made 9 appearances. Looked ok, pretty lively but looked like he needed a bit more experience. Went and played 8 games on loan at Bromley and scored 4 so not a bad return.

Good move for him I think, hopefully get plenty of playing time to gain that experience.

Will be keeping my eye out for him.

Matt Harrold leaves Crawley for Orient. No mention of a transfer fee.

I thought it odd when he wasn't on the pitch or bench in the checkatrade game on Tuesday.

I'm hoping we can get a decent goal scorer in because I reckon we have two five a season men plus Meite of whom I know very little.

Brilliant.

From a keeper who can't hold onto a shot to one who apparently can't hold onto anything.

If he was so bad (not that I'm questioning people's opinion), how has he made 400 league appearances?
I wish you had taken Brown off our hands he's been laughable in goal for us this season with at least half our goals conceded were down to his cock ups. :ffs: Word is we're after a keeper from Bournemouth on loan so Brown can sit on the bench as no 2.

I thought Brown did really well! Last season at Cheltenham? Strange how a move can cause problems.

Adam Fedinici (or however you spell it) is said to be looking for a move from Bournemouth. Probably him.

Going back to our Bostwick signing from Peterborough, in today's press conference it was mentioned that our record transfer fee wasn't broken bringing him or anyone else in. That means it was less than £75k, not the hundreds of thousands, some people from other clubs thought. Good business at below that price IMO.

Rumours gathering that Akinola will be announced shortly. Not sure how I feel about that, know he hasn't done that well since joining Barnet, but DC got goals out of him at Braintree, esp playing as a striker rather than pushed out wide.

We've made our fourth signing today....

Midfielder Hiram Boateng on a free from Crystal Palace. Absolutely delighted with him as he's just the sort of physical presence we lack.

Have to say, despite losing Watkins and Wheeler, we've really added well this summer. Great stuff.

Boateng is an odd one, he definitely has the ability to play at a higher level than league 2 but he can just drift out of games massively. He is a unit but he has great feet still. He got shoved out wide last year (part of the JED disaster) but as a central midfielder especially on the left of a three think will do a really good job.

Aaron Ramsdale who was on loan at Wolves all last season is the one we're after according to The BBC.

I quite liked him when he was with us. Good awareness and passing range. Was most effective for us at the base of a three. Good signing for Exeter.

Blame your board for moving the goalposts in the summer - I believe everything was all agreed for him to come, we had certainly agreed terms with Scotty, then you guys suddenly wanted money for him. Admittedly, we shouldn't have been such cheapskates as I believe the fee was minimal, but still.

Scott was on loan from Wycombe last season, but he's a bit of a Cheltenham legend now. If we hadn't have got him last season, and stuck with Russ Griffiths I have no doubt we would have been relegated. Two penalty saves alone (especially the one against Orient) did more than Griffiths did in the whole of the first half of the season. It felt certain he was coming home in the summer, and I'm genuinely gutted he hasn't come back. One of only 3 players in my time supporting the club to win player of the year at Cheltenham twice.

6pm and all quiet for us. With Akinde still injured with a knee problem that kept him out of the opening day of the season as a precaution, I can't see him passing any medicals, so not sure if we are going to do any headline grabbing business.

I'd be disappointed to lose Akinola if those rumours are true.

We've loaned Matt Worthington to Yeovil, and I can't understand it. He's basically our central midfield and right back cover, two areas we're very light in. And I think he should perhaps be playing at a higher level if he does go on loan.

Should be a decent signing for Yeovil. Meanwhile we'll pray our only proper right back stays fit!
