Wheeler gone to QPR. 500k.

Gutted but you can't stand in the way of players careers.

Jayden Stockley. I guess when we've now got two or three players that have scored more in a season and a half than Stockley has in his whole ten year career, well..... we're a bit spoiled.

Perhaps as a Perm signing rather than the unknown of a loan you will get more out of him and maybe he's improved. He was pretty toothless for us but I'm sure there are a lot worse strikers in this league. However you are likely weaker with him than Wheeler - but you keep managing to stay up there year after year on selling top players, so hats off.

Stockley was pretty average for us, being fair he was in a crap side that didnt really create much if i recall.

Didnt realise he had such a good record at Exeter last time around, guess some players, especially the way with strikers I always think, just find a groove at a club. Have to say I dont remember him being a "big strong unit" at all, quite the opposite in fact, tall but quite weak and poor in the air so maybe thats what he has done to improve his game.

I recall when when we signed Pigott that he reminded me of a shitter version of Stockley so he can't have been that bad for us!

Yep, some players just suit certain clubs/environments and despite what he may have or not done at Luton, he was very good for us last time he was here.

I have confidence we will be able to bring the best out of Stockley again.

Paul Hayes has left Wycombe by mutual consent. I'm not gonna lie i'm far from upset about it as his legs had gone and ageand injuries have caught up with him but he was brilliant a few years ago when we reached the play off final and scoring twice at Spurs last season,i think he knew himself it was time to go after being subbed at H/T at Home to Notts County 2 weeks ago.

Rumours that we're looking to get Sean Goss in on loan from QPR, 21 year old centre mid.

We've signed 19 year old Eberechi Eze an attacking midfielder from QPR on loan until January to cover for Sam Saunders who will be out injured longer than first thought.

Rejected a 1.8m bid for Justin from Forest. Speculation being thqt the price slapped on him was 2.5m-3m. Is he worth that now? Nope. But we dont need to sell which is why we are getting inflated prices from anyone buying - their needs are greater than ours.

As for 'buying the league' we've done it self sufficiently. Unlike Evans and his 'brown paper packet' in the conference.

Transfer finances in (based on common rumour, but the figures are definately in the range).

Vassell out 1.75m plus further add ons
McGeehan out 850k (paid Norwich ~120k for sell on) plus further add ons
Marriott out 450k plus further add ons
Andre Gray final sell on 300k (Burnley staying up)
Jake Gray out (Yeovil ~30k)

Finances out

Collins 250k
Berry 300k
Stacey 75k
Cornick 50k

And our wage bill pre-Berry had gone down from last year. Chance we may spend another 250k on Sonny Bradley as rumoured but still well in the black this summer and looking stronger.

Adams is clearly bored with the rumours re Sonny and wants to quash them, he put a one million price tag on all our players (each not collectively).

Interesting one.

Goss came through our academy and was sold to Man Utd in 2011 I think and went onto impress for their u21s and think he made the first team squad on a couple of occasions. Only went to QPR last season but needs games to show what he can do...Apparently he's been likened to a Michael Carrick type player.

Am hoping we get him on loan as part of the deal taking Wheeler to QPR and we need a CM, plus with the fact he's an Exeter lad I've put 2+2 together to probably equal 98788.

Think he'd be a great signing for this level.

We've brought in Everton midfielder Conor Grant on loan. Happy with that, he's had spells with Motherwell, Ipswich and Doncaster. Looks a decent enough pick up.

James Pearson already gone from us. Contract cancelled although it was always a pay as you play. Would hope we have one or two lined up.

Could end up signing for us if we fail to get our main targets.............

His legs have gone and he is injury prone now seems like a perfect signing for Michael Brown at vale then.

His injury worse than you all realised or got worse then? He was genuinely the best RB down here pre-injury (yes, even better than the Luton one they've turned down £373m for).

Seems the striker that we've had lined up for a week or so, but having to wait for the selling club to sort their end out, is finally moving closer with him due in for medical today.

We are linked with Tom Davies from Portsmouth a centre half.

Also, James Pearson (he of the Thai hooker sex tape) has left us after joining last month.

We need some movement. Actually we're desperate for it.

We look set to sign Janoi/Jaanai (seen it spelt both ways) Gordon from West Ham.

Thoughts Newport fans?

There is also a niggling rumour that we'll be signing Dillon Phillips from Charlton. I'll believe that when I see it.

Janoi Gordon scored the last minute equaliser for us at yours last season - other than that did fuck all. One of the many hoovered up by the Premier League.

Is Akinola a possibility? Granted a L1 wouldn't be after him but I think it will be a more mobile striker akin to Green.

Plenty of our fans would welcome that! I have a feeling selling him would come back to bite us big time though so hopefully it isn't him.

I had a look through the fixtures and Maidstone/Dagenham stuck out. DC knows both managers for a start, but Daggers have Whitley, Hawkins and a couple of others whose names escape me. That said, Whitely isn't a striker per se I don't think, so I doubt it'll be him but he looks a very, very good player.

Did The Cowleys sign Cheek for Braintree?
