Ollie Banks midfielder from Oldham confirmed on loan until the end of the season. Better get onto the league 1 and non-league forum to see what kind of player he is.

We’ve signed Noor Husin from Crystal Palace on a permanent - young midfielder. Was on loan at Accrington last season, that’s all I’ve got!

Another central midfielder by the looks of it. We’ve gone central midfielder mad.

We've signed winger Jordan Williams on loan from Rochdale. Pretty sure we were in for him when he was at Barrow last season.

We were but Dale spent 100k on him so was out of our price range. Looks like he hasn't fitted in at Rochdale but I trust DC to spot a good player. He had a good scoring record at Barrow so that's 4 quality wingers at the club. Must raise some doubts over the futures of Ginnelly and Stewart.

Well, Harry Cool gave a list of five players he wanted to bring in and....well that's that then. No whispers, no hints and certainly no actual signings.

We are desperate for a forward. We have two at the club. Verheydt, an immobile Dutch sicknote and Camara who could come good. The problem is any half decent forward is generally not available in January and when they are bigger budgets than ours are in for them.
In short, I don't expect to see one sign and further experimental "no forward" tactics will be employed in the second half of the campaign. I'm almost peeing my pants with the excitement.

You would think so, cant see us having 6 wingers here!

That's a decent signing that. Saw him a couple of times for Barrow, and had a good game against us in August for Rochdale in the League Cup.

James Wilson (centre back from Sheff United) signs and can play tomorrow:

https://www.redimps.co.uk/news/2018/january/180112-wilson-signs/

Looks a decent signing, albeit another who has had injury problems. That said, in Marriott, Eardley and Green the Cowleys seem to have a habit of getting previously-crocked players playing regularly.

Well the Walsall fans were very sad to see him go and my brother knows a Bristol City fan that says he was decent for them so that's some achievement getting him into League Two. Transfer window shaping up nicely, though we need bodies in the squad that's for sure.

If we can bring in a striker I'll be pretty happy. Only 20 league games left so not as crazy as the same period last year.

Still one to leave today apparently.

If that does happen, that'll mean four in and five out so far, so we could still do with numbers. Having said that, Sportin' Hortin reckons we'll end January with the same squad size as at the beginning of January and DC opted to increase the quality of the squad rather than increase the depth. Time will tell on that one works out.

Frecklington will be better than Knott, Rowe and Williams will struggle to have less of an impact than JMD (or a Ginnelly and/or Stewart if they leave), but Wilson is going to have to be very, very good to replace Raggett. So it's looking like we're going with two CB's, not replacing Dickie and will use Bostwick at CB if and when required.

I'd prefer a 3rd CB, whether that's Howe when he returns from his loan at Eastleigh or another signing. That said, if we can sell/loan out Howe again and have to sacrifice a 3rd CB to get an ST in then that'd probably be worth it.

I think in a roundabout way, having a squad of 20 players, each of which you can rely on to have an impact, is like having a bigger squad than 20 players where a few of them (JMD, Stewart and Ginnelly) are pretty ineffectual. Recently our first 11 picked itself without any controversy. People are now wondering how we will fit in Frecklington and which 2 of the 4 good-quality wingers will start. Get a striker to genuinely compete with Green and we will have decent competition in most key areas.

Josh Ginnelly 'recalled' by Burnley. No surprise with that one.

6 wingers down to 5, which will no doubt be 4 soon.

We’ve just signed him for the rest of the season. Sounds like he’s struggled to make the step up to league football? We badly need pace, so I imagine he’s got plenty of that but not much else.

He was a 3rd/4th choice winger in the second half of last season when we had him.

We needed to free up some space and he/Burnley probably wanted more game time for him, so a good move all round really.

Yep, plenty of pace and a trick or two. His finishing lets him down (typical winger with inconsistency really) and he is no doubt raw but he puts in a shift, think he will do well for you at PP.

We've signed a 20 year old right back Tafari Moore on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season. He's represented England at all youth levels up to the under 20's and was at FC Utrecht on loan last season so sounds a very good signing.

Our player of the season last year, doesn't quite seem to have happened for him in L1 but should do a good job for you lot.

He hasn't really had a consistent run in the side this year. He's fast, skillful and can change games (as he did against Macc when we wont the title last year) but like many young wingers, not very consistent. Final ball and finishing are questionable. Even last year I don't think he really started loads of games and he has scored three for us this year. Maybe a decent run against lesser defences will kick-start things for him.

He was probably the most excited of all our players when we got promotion last year, as his pinned tweet on Twitter shows.

Be afraid boys. Be very afraid!

Seriously though, while this is obviously great news for us, the club has only given him a contract til the end of this month. This clearly means there are still question marks over his fitness. I mean, it's not even a 6 month contract.
