Reggie Lambe being linked to us according to our message board.

All the CUFC lot apart from shoddycollins seem to rate him similarly to our collective view (apart from Vanni ) on the blessed Medy Elito.

Perhaps a reunion with Jabo will reinvigorate both of them.

I can still see Billy Waters rocking up at the end of July, when no one matches Cobblers' valuations and they'd like him off their books.

Latest rumours are Simon Cox, Anthony Wordsworth and Michael Doughty. Imagine we’ll only sign at a maximum one of those.

I’ve got me ST money ready x 2. Any 2 from those 3 and I’ll fall for it.

Heard good things about Wordsworth, the way he moves on the pitch is just poetry in motion.

Lambe is the cousin of a good friend of mine, so I've kept an eye on his career. He's a dangerous player, but can't help thinking he should be doing better than what he currently is. I'd say a typically inconsistent L2 player.

They peaked with the banner, for me. Imagine not being ashamed of that.
Speaking of cringey stuff have any of you chaps ordered a copy of the survival DVD your club released? What's it called, Jolley's Magic 10 or something and only has the 10 game run-in (which includes the little thumping at Sinny Bank we gave you hehe).

We all had a laugh about that at the time and said exactly the same. You on the other hand, were apparently round the Cowley's house with your PVA and glitter putting in a shift on the banner the night before that match at SB. Sinny Bank too? Urgh. Is that actually a think people say?

He wanders lonely as a cloud...?

He was at Crawley in league 1 and when he is good he is good...when it's going against you he tends to disappear.

Which one is that one from again, don't think I have read it?

Can Grimsby and Lincoln have their own thread?

If you think this is bad, it's gonna get a whole lot worse when the World Cup finishes. My advise would be to pick a side, buckle up and enjoy the ride because it will be Grimsby vs Lincoln (plus occasional comments from Chris FGR and select Mansfield fans) all the way up until we play each other in August.

This is the part of the year when Grimsby fans are most vocal, like this time last year and who can blame them? Before adopting the foetal position on the forum and laughing at their own club/players on a weekly basis as a self defensive measure

Maybe 2018/19 will be different

You will love him RLC. Unless he repeatedly gets himself stupidly sent off, which is a possibility.

He’s a niggly hard working guy who scored some decent goals for us. Unfortunately he just doesn’t seem to fit into the way Phil Brown wants to play and is quite far down our pecking order.

I wish him all the best,

Apparently so. Most fans will be sad to see him go. A right niggly bastard who opposing fans hate. A real 100% er. Be a right good signing that.

There is a suggestion on one of our forums that this won’t go through until Swindon conclude a signing themselves, with Simon Cox being mentioned. Do you guys have any knowledge re this?

Sounds like Mullin will be a decent signing if it gets over the line.

Nothing I have heard but I would have though Cox will be our biggest wage earner and I guess whatever fee we get for Mullin will be used to pay for Simon Cox. It could be that Coxy needs to decide whether to drop to league 2 or not.

I guess we’ll know more next week.

He’s not really been given a decent run in the team all season, but I’m convinced fans can spot a good player when they see one - despite managers. He’ll get @ good reception at the CG I’m sure.

wild rumour from twitter that Simon Cox's car spotted in the County Ground car park today.

Not sure about that, the phrase never go back is often used but he's a good player so can't really be unhappy if it is true.
I hope he reported that to the Police considering he was abroad at Josh Wright's Wedding!

If Simon Cox leaves us I will considerably pissed off. He would be the best striker in L2 by a distance.
Wordsworth would also be a very good signing.

Ha, I did say wild rumour!

Is Coxy out of contract at Southend? Have you offered him a new deal? Did you offer Wordsworth a deal as well or has he been released?

I would be very satisfied with both signings but I do think its a bit unrealistic to be honest.

Coxy is out of contract with us and is being offered a new contract. I know personally he wants to stay with us was chatting to him at the last club golf day he was saying his missus has followed him everywhere he's gone previously but she loves it here and won't leave the area now so for that reason he wants to stay but he is a smart bloke and he is obviously just holding out for the right deal.
Wordsworth was released by us rumour has it he didn't see eye to eye with Powell but he did like Brown so it could have legs. With Woody it's more about his attitude cos ability is all there. His goal return with us speaks for itself as a CM.

Nota new player but we’ve appointed Eric Kinder as Taylor’s assistant manager. Understand he’s spent years at Carlisle in various roles....

Seems to have a lot of experience which is what Taylor will need....Hopefully some new players to join this week.

Danny Collins has signed for another year. Good news imho. Getting on but played most games last season and did well and gives some experience in the changing rooms compared to the young squad we are forming.
