I’m not saying this to be pedantic but Dennis scored twice as many goals as Akinde, both with relegated sides.

Stockley certainly wouldn’t cost more than 250k, so he can go in.
He would. Exeter don't need the cash, they've earnt millions from ampadu and others. They paid £100k for him,if he goes they'll be selling him for 7 figures.

Cambridge are barely relevant in this division, or any division in fact. You're the epitome of a club that just exists for the sake of existing. Doubt any punters ever put you on an accumulator, win or lose.

Enjoy another 12th placed season Big Tommo!

(Forgive me Vinny)

Forgive you for what exactly? Listen here CrazyImp/Pimpish Wimpish, I've been trying to tell you for quite a long time*now that I fully respect the opinion of others even though they may very well be or act like an 11 year old kid.

*since 2012 as a matter of fact.

BTW you're wrong on punters and accas. Loads do bet on -1.5 goals every single time we get the honour of playing you lot.

Not quite. Any money from Ampadu etc will keep our academy going and pay wages for the next few years, but clearly if the likes of Stockley are going we will only sell for a decent whack. We have no other income except sales and gate income, and we have a fraction of the season ticket income you have.
For that reason we are increasing gate prices in January.
If he goes for whatever fee I will be gutted. I think he will stay though. Him and Forte could be a good partnership

Sounds like we're close to signing winger Enzio Boldewijn from Crawley. Delighted if we get this one over the line.

We've now signed Ex-Bolton James
Sinclair who has seemingly been playing all over the place in Europe and every position going. He advertised his services on Twitter in May so this could go either way.

Called it when Hardy first posted game changer! If we pull it off it’s a top signing. Finally some pace in our team!

Indeed you very slow at our place in January better in September after the red card gave you more space and we tired.

I enjoyed the home victory against Lincoln, alas I missed the away draw due to international travel .

That red card was talked about by one young imp for months afterwards , he was certain they would of won if the player hadn’t of been sent off. He was sure of it! No doubt in his mind lol

I remember my first promotion

Without going into too much detail, you remind me that I remember both my first and second promotion. The first was in 1967 and the second was also in colour but involved a trip to Wembley......

Impish and Carver are beginning to get on my tits. I also remember now why I usually find more interesting distractions than 1FF in June/July.

Boldewijn ain't quick.

I wonder how much you'll pay? Hopefully more than what we got for Mccleod.

Casey

Edit: he ain't slow but he isn't a flying winger.

But is he any good at this level Casey?

Sounds like he’s at least above average pace. Which makes him quicker than Alessandra and Hawkridge.

We’ll take him

Trolling some of the Lincoln fans on here is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Akinde would be a superb player for us if he does sign. Of course he’s going to cost a lot of money, but as every one knows, proven goal scorers are the most expensive position. There were other options, which it sounds like the Cowleys have explored, but they have been picked up by other teams. I don’t honestly know any other proven goal scoring players still available in our budget?

We’ve always had location-based problems attracting players, as well as not usually being very good. However, if we get this one over the line I’ll be delighted. He’ll probably fit in very well with our style of play. Even if we change that style to ‘sexier football’ he’ll still fit in well.

Anyway we are Lincoln, ultimately things typically don’t go to plan, he probably won’t sign for us and everyone will laugh at us.

So Notts County ‘game changer’ is a quick winger that is not actually that quick?

Alan Hardy is a absolute cockwomble :lol:

Yes, he's absolutely lacking in pace, those defenders he blasts past were just even slower...

He is a good player at this level, no doubt but he ain't a flying winger. I edited the post when I realised I made him out to be slow. He isn't slow.

When I think of players described as quick I think of CMS in his twenties or Craig Bellamy or even Forte who played for Notts and was seriously rapid when he wanted to be.

If County get him they are getting a good player and one who has been bloodied to league two for a couple of seasons. Is he going to be in a side to win League 2 ? Very possible. League 1? Doubtful.

Do you believe whatever anyone says on here?!

That’s just bizarre especially when you regularly state wages that you guesstimating at best and reporting them as if they were fact.

So the Crawley fan, who’s seen him most, says he’s a good player at this level with pace. Sounds alright to me.

Best bit is we haven’t even signed him yet and it may not happen.

The club talking up a signing or potential signing, whatever next?! :dk: I’ve never seen/read that before :shifty:

Good signings on paper for our north notts brethren, adding pace in Walker and Khan (at a price tho) and power in Davies.

Is Davies still any good these days tho? Not heard much about him since his stellar year at Chesterfield

Khan would have been £100k as that was his release clause.

Log-on for the first time since Friday, and there's 9 pages of absolute shite. Was there even a signing rumour in amongst that lot?

Seen on your board that you've put that the club only want to give 2 years and he wants 3. Don't understand that at all. If you are going to pay a decent fee for him, why would you want him in the last year of his contract next year? Unless you are offering 2 with an option of a third weighted in the clubs favour.
Which is what it is, apparently.

He joined us on a free as he was only on a one year contract with Alfreton and his wages weren't small at the time - we very quickly improved his contract and he ended up as our highest earner. He's been injury free for the last 4/5 seasons apart from the last (so he's nowhere near a fitness risk as many other players lauded as great signings at this level are) and he's only 28 (29 in a week) so he's hardly an old donkey.

You don't actually know much about the situation you're trying so hard to debate about.
Are you sure? Eastleigh fan reckons you paid £250k for him, despite him being out of contract...

We’re signing some players this week allegedly. I guess we’ve been waiting for the dross to be hoovered up before we begin building our play off challenging side.

The initial Akinde fee is less than County paid for Dennis and with add-ons takes it to the same amount over as the initial fee is under. Barnet wanted it all up front.

Assuming it all goes through.

Luke how much was the confirmed Dennis fee? And do you know his weekly wage?
£150k was the fee mentioned, I think? That was the one I was working off. But the ins and outs and Notts County isn't my Forte (that joke would've worked last season).
