We have signed Harry Gilmour from Sheffield United on a six month loan. He is highly rated by the Blades and was impressive in our 2-3 defeat to a full strength Liverpool side on Tuesday.

In other news, our final offer for Danny Rowe has been rejected and we are looking elsewhere for a striker.

Morais announced on a two year deal. Undisclosed fee.

Northampton have been quiet so far in the transfer window but that is a good signing. My mate who is a Peterborough fan suggests he will be very competent at league 2 level.

I think we've been quiet because we don't need too much. Perhaps a winger and keeper left to get in, and a lot of guff to get rid of.

Also been told Billy Waters isn't going to Spain on our training camp so he's likely off somewhere in League 2/Conference

We've signed Jak McCourt from Chesterfield. 23 year old midfielder, any Chezzie or Northampton fans got any info on him?

Started alright here, but suddenly looked unfit and couldn't pass the ball. A meh signing imo.

I said Richards couldn't do it in League 1 but would score goals in League 2, which is what's happened

Looks like Medy Elito is joining Barnet from Cambridge.

Ben Nugent didn't play for us last night but did for Stevenage today so we musn't have fancied him.

No replacement trialist at CB last night either so we're probably going to go down the loan route with that one.

Confirmation that the two new bids for Mo Eisa this week came from Portsmouth. Looks like we're really playing hardball on this one - very unlike us.

Micheal Rose played yesterday in our win against Ashton and scored. We've also got James Pearson (Nigel Pearson's son) on trial as well as former Everton goalkeeper Louie Gray.

According to our forum two of the trialists we had on show yesterday were Nathan Smith (ex-Yeovil) and Alex Reid (ex-Fleetwood). Reid featured for us in midweek vs St. Albans too, scoring twice if the forum is to be believed.

We've now decided not to offer Lloyd Sam a contract now as apparently our youth kid Scott Twine has shown enough development that we don't need Sam, or reading between the lines, we can't afford to sign Sam!

Watching yesterday that seems like a good decision. Got to be better giving your own youngsters a chance against some old fart after a final pay cheque

Couldn't agree more. Hopefully his decision is vindicated and our youngsters can push on. It sounds like Romanski had a good game as well. Who out of the other array of youngsters stood out ID?

Romanski impressed me loads. Pity he’s still so weedy looking. May be a bit too good a footballer to play CB, though. Twine looks like he could do it in L2. Jordan Young and Edwards both could stand in if required.

I feel more confident this pre season than with Flitcroft last, that’s for sure. Let’s see who the 5/6 that come in this week or so are.

We could be in business!

Thanks ID. I have learned under Mr Power to be patient. I have a feeling 2 or 3 Brown brings in will be very handy at this level. the next 2 weeks could be very interesting!

He was very good for us in 15/16 and got his career back on track as no-one would touch him after what happened at Leicester.

He then spent a full season out injured and it seems to have set him back again. The Kiddy fans on the NL forum were not particularly upset to see him go.

As much of a bellend he was in the past, I do feel sorry for him as he looked too good for L2 at times during his time with us.
