I don't get how people aren't getting this? Maybe I'm giving too much credit to them. This obsession that VM has with us being obsessed is completely biased too. They bang on about us just as much, if not more. I've lost count of how many times have we had to explain that we didn't all hate Paul Hurst because a Lincoln fan has taken great delight in bringing it up time and time again or that we continually get accused of not seeing them as a proper rival despite this being complete nonsense too.

I’ve done the same with Notts Co too and will do it for any club who spend a lot of money (which they sometimes don’t have). I thought it was fairly obvious last week that the Akinde figures were done in jest (starting at 100k and slowly creeping up to 500k) but a few people just didn’t get it.

It gets pretty boring in the off-season on here, even when England are doing well.

You are correct any club not spending during pre season (been there many a time) natural reaction is to query where the money is coming from, guess and over estimate wages of those signed players when they clearly have no actual info, and hope for failure. It’s born out of jealousy, all clubs at this level would love the chairman/board to sanction big signings and outbid others on players salaries to hopefully get promotion. It also nicely distracts from the non spending clubs who’s chairman plans to keep things sensible, sign joe average players, no gambles and is happy with a shot at the play offs..... maybe. Sounds fun

Seeing as it’s not my money, and seeing as I and other Notts fans will hopefully over the course of the season benefit from it. There’s very little you can throw my way. Let’s say Dennis cost £135,000 and is paid £3500 p/w.... yayyyyy! Good on the lad, let’s hope he scores a fair few and entertains the supporters.

I know the off season is quiet and traditionally silly season but I’ve never seen anything like it in terms of Grimboland / Lincoln. To suggest the comments are only about wages, and are purely for a humorous windup is laughably incorrect. It’s kinda obvious and there for all to see, it’s a forum after all.

Perhaps because it’s a trio all singing of the Same hymn sheet maybe that makes it look more desperate than it really is#relentless

The fact that you are banging on about actual wages quite clearly demonstrates that you don't understand that we are taking the piss. This whole post smacks of you not getting it at all despite you saying that you do. I don't know why you love Lincoln so much, but every so often we get a couple of fans of random teams that despise us for no apparent reason so maybe you're one of them? Of course we are going to try and wind up the Lincoln fans, they've been annoying as fuck for ages now and they deserve everything they get. It’s gone absolutely dead again with Mansfield, although to be fair it was last time a day or two until we did the treble signing.

Paul Anderson is technically on the transfer list but went to Portugal where as Paul Digby and Zander Diamond did not so I expect them two to move on hopefully!
