Agreed on Wharton. We had him on loan here before he went to Lincoln and he looked a class above tbh. Would a great signing for the Imps if they could pull it off.

We appear to have/have had Sean Murray on trial with us.

Failed to agree a new deal at Colchester and seemed to be like their Ollie Palmer last season i.e. played in just about every game but not starting many.

Thoughts dedwardp?

Looks like we are trying to get Lewis Wing back on loan from Middlesbrough. He did well last season, and with Jake Gray still not fit we could do with another attacking midfielder.

It seems we have a six figure bonus from the sale of Gwion Edwards from Posh to Ipswich.

Added to the million we got from County for Enzio and twelve million for Verheydt's transfer to Go ahead Eagles we're rolling in it.

So, we only had 4 trialists in the squad last night against Altrincham. Michael Rose who played CM and looked massively off the pace- Alty scored their only goal because he lost possession in the middle of the pitch. Jack Mackreth who is no-where near good enough for Football League. Sam Ramsbottom who was our number 2 goalkeeper last season and looks unbelievably shaky and has suspect handling. The 4th trialist was another goalkeeper- Louis Gray whose kicking looked pretty terrible. We massively need to replace Danny Whitehead- heard last night that we're looking at Jamey Osbourne from Solihull.

Carlisle had him on loan last season. I’d like to tell you he’s good but I don’t know as he didn’t make an appearance.

Aren't you lot supposed to stick to your Bury thread?

Was quality for us after signing in 2016/17. I have no idea how he's gotten on back at Solihull, though. There's a great player there, but potentially a suspect attitude. He twinged a cruciate ligament in his knee in pre-season before 17/18 and was ruled out for over half of the next season and we were all buzzing when he came back early. At the time he was widely regarded as our best and most creative player, with only Sam Jones really rivaling him. However, after his first few games back he bizarrely went on loan to Solihull "to get mach fit". I think that was in the December, maybe? Then quelle surprise, January rolls round and he's signed back for them permanently. Cited needing to be near his family in the Midlands and not having his head in the right place. Funny how he didn't need to be near his family and his head was fine while we were paying for his rehabilitation. Undoubtedly good enough to be a star player for you in L2 if you get the 16/17 Osborne, but I'd definitely be wary of his commitment to your cause and his own ambition to push himself.

I know the reason why Osborne went back, for me it’s not a great reason but I’ve never been in that situation! Echo your sentiments though, he’s a fantastic player and Macc would be signing a good player.

Any Stags fans aware of any incidents involving ' goodie two shoes Ricky Miller ' last season?
Incredibly he isn't allowed to play for us in friendlies due to an ongoing FA disciplinary issue .
People thought he may have a knock or niggle but it has now been revealed by Aspin that he is banned by the FA .
Masterstroke by Vale signing this weapon.

As in you know the specific reason and it wasn't what was released in the club statement/his interviews? Spill the beans??

After the match last night Kewell said he will be knocking on the door to bring in four more players. From the interview two are probably Milsom and Whelpdale which leaves us two to dream about.

Our defence looks suspect again. I would start there.

We're supposedly on the verge of signing Toumani Diagouraga from Fleetwood. Now that wouldn't be a bad signing.

Cheltenham fans. Apparently we've made a 4th bid for Eisa around the £1.3million mark. Have you heard anything your end? Is he really that good?

All we've heard this way is that Posh made an offer of £1m, but it was made up of loads of add-ons more than an up front price, Pompey had made 3 offers, all of which were under £1m and Sunderland have offered £1m but no idea of the breakdown or whether it's all up front.

The simple fact is we value him at £1.5m, he's on contract until 2020 and we don't need to sell. Whether he's worth that much or not is irrelevant. We also understand a number of Championship clubs (Brentford and Bristol City are two I've heard mentioned) are interested and he wants to play as high as possible.

As for how good he actually is - I'm in two minds on this, and I'll be the only Cheltenham fan with this view. He scored 25 goals in a poor team. No doubt his goals kept us safe from any real danger last season. However, I only saw him in home games and he only scored 7 at Whaddon Road - 3 of which were in one game against Port Vale. He is clearly a very talented lad, however, he appears to do very well when playing off the defender's shoulder and struggles when facing up to a defence. I don't think he's at Championship standard and he's 24 now, so isn't going to improve dramatically over the next few years - then again, was his lack of goals at Whaddon Road down to his supporting act?

If Pompey have offered £1.3m with the vast majority (£1m at least) up front, then I would make them faves for his signature. I still see the club holding out for £1.5m though.

We were aware of this when he signed. Give him a chance, he's not even kicked a ball yet.

Without knowing the facts and reasoning we can't really comment.

Vale knew about the issue and were happy to sign him so guess we will have to wait and see for the all clear.

Seemingly we are signing midfielder Diagoraga from Fleetwood. We had him on loan as a kid yonks ago. 31 now, but should be a solid signing.

Argyle fans loved him last season in L1 and say he was a big part of the reason why they shot up the league.

Should be an excellent signing for L2.

Enoch Andoh set to play for us tonight on trial.

Was superb when he broke through into our team originally and was linked with Spurs days before wrecking his ACL at Colchester 3 years back.

Really struggled to come back and has been at Whitehawk since. IF we got him anywhere near the level he was at 3 seasons back before his horror injury he would be the best winger at this level... chances of getting that I'd think are slim however.
