There is nothing wrong with writing teams off, it’s the same as predicting who will be in the top 7 come end of season. I much prefer people who make predictions (and ideally back it up with a bet and stated on here before the event) than the ones that keep quiet, don’t commit and then only come out to play after the event. I’ve written off Yeovil’s chances of promotion that’s it

I’m not sure this forum will have any impact on the pressure levels of Yeovil or any teams players truth be told.

The people who wrote Accrington Stanley were righty every since season except the last one.

It’s just a bit of fun after all.
I can assure you, getting relegated into the abyss of non league is not a bit of fun, especially when you become culpable for letting the vegans into the football league.

Double post but..

Bristol Rovers supposedly tabled a Norwood bid (twitter rumour). Tranmere would be insane to let him go when we haven't even replaced Andy Cook yet.

I've already written Tranmere off and said that Morecambe will be the surprise package of the year.

Betting on league 2 is going to be tough next season I reckon!

Its the most evenly balanced league I can remember. There aren't even two nailed on relegation candidates as far as I can see?
Personally I think this is a great chance for us to go up. But knowing our luck we will get knocked out via the playoffs... again.

I'm quite positive about us, reckon we could definitely finish a few places higher, 15-16th with no real relegation worries would be superb.

But if Doidge goes we'll probably go down.

I worry about where our goals will come from but at least we have signed some forwards.

In my dreams I have Morais setting up Palmer for his best ever total but I still think we are short up top.

Halfway heroes..I think.

I was a tad worried for you lot after that 6-6 draw at Weston, but then I saw that they swept aside Cheltenham 4-1 last night. So you're better than at least one other side ;)

Lump on Weston for the Conny South! Think Cheltenham's side had a lot more kids/subs than we put out.

I don't know what the FGR team was, but we had six professionals playing, only three of whom likely to be in a matchday squad, and two of those coming back from bad injuries.

The meltdown on Twitter was funny though.

As for us, once we get some firepower up front we'll be fine - it's that firepower that will make or break us though.

Actually, I think I'll add Tranmere to my list of potential strugglers. I don't feel they've added enough quality after not exactly setting alight what was a very weak Conference last year.

In reference to their Christmas song, I think Palios might be "giving it to Micky Mellon" this festive period (the bullet, that is).

We were trying out our new look defence I think! Clean sheet against Bristol Rovers settled a few nerves.

Sam Hird has been mentioned. Hasn't he gone downhill recently or have I made that up?

Think Macc and Tranmere are going to be in for a shock, this is a big step up from non-league and they're in with the big boys now.

I'm out of sync with the majority of Rovers fans in fearing that we will be involved in a relegation battle in the coming season. Desperately need another striker, potential goalkeeping issues and there isn't enough depth in the squad. I think we'll probably survive, but don't think it will be easy.

Well there both bigger than your lot and in Tranmere's case a lot bigger.

It's not just this forum but pretty much everyone else in the game expects us to struggle this season, which is fine by me.

Easy to write teams off in the Prem, where you can already pick the top 6.

Much harder to write teams off down here cos the playing field is more level. Players are playing in league 2 for a reason, and a big part of that's generally down to being inconsistent. So on that basis it's right to expect most teams to be inconsistent as well, which is why anyone can beat anyone and why I don't often bet on this league.

Wouldn't be a shock to see someone like Yeovil in the top 7.

Lets be honest, it would be a shock. Similar to Lincoln going down or Forest Green allowing away fans to purchase Wagyu burgers with grilled halloumi.

Amine Linganzi being mentioned as someone we’re looking at. Hear he’s just left Swindon after rejecting a deal?

Also James Bailey been mentioned at Yeovil which is odd considering he’s out with a knee injury. Perhaps that may be one to look at in January...

Oldham have signed Denmark U21 goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on a season's loan from Leicester. He's looked the part when playing in recent friendlies.

I’ll take that as compliment, cos I’ve written them off and early.

I will be very surprised if they are top 7 come May.

Hearing that #OAFC defender Anthony Gerrard has been banished from the first team and forced to train with the youth team. The exact reason for this is unknown. Hearing a possible transfer to Carlisle on the cards too.

Linganzi is okay just plagued by injury.
