Excuse that complete nonsense! It’s if “he does this and that” we’d get x million!

David Flitcroft post-match comments on Danny Rose

'All last week he was told he will be a Peterborough player by people behind the scenes. He's been directed to a certain way and manipulated to put a request in. That isn't like Danny and it was a surprise when it did come in.'

Basically confirming what was expected, that them dodgy lot at Peterborough tapped him up. Some blame should be towards him too however.

Basically the only reason he has not left is because he's got two years on his contract and JR will not lower his price (Take note Swindon fan) I'd go 60/40 he will leave at this point. It's clearly going to have take a club paying over the odds to sign him.

I'm expecting and hoping we sign a new striker soon, we literally have near to no strength in depth in the striker position now.

Still a chance it'll be a loan and then permanent in January, then.

Sounds like Posh are waiting until the next deadline to really make their move.

Why does Flitcroft have to put everything about transfers out into the open? Lacks class imo.

I would say that is a fair criticism regarding the Angol/Grimsby situation although it was pretty widely reported to be Grimsby to be fair.

Mansfield Town, It's Chairman/Manager etc have never mentioned Peterborough and the only reason this has come out in the media is because Darragh MacAnthony said on twitter that we made it public but actually he did that in the exact same tweet because he's a bit slow. I don't see anything wrong with what he said post-match yesterday, the fans have a right to know what is going off.

So in summary, Flitcroft does not put 'everything about transfers out into the open'

I'm feeling a BBC Reality Check thing coming on regarding Flipflop.

I posted a squad churn image the other week, and they've done another one since the closing of the window.

Cheltenham look like they've lost most of their main players (minutes wise) from last season.

We've kept ours together, bar Woodyard who played the most minutes. Waterfall, despite being Captain, was 8th or 9th in terms of minutes.

Luke, do you know if that classes Wharton, who we have loaned again, as a 'new' player or as a continuation?

Really surprised you're letting him go after losing Payne and Nolan so close to the window. Yes, he's not the same kind of player as either of them but he could certainly plug a gap and/or give you another option. It's kind of frustrating as well from our perspective as he was our best player by a mile (admittedly not difficult in our squad last season!) and it just seems like his transfer to you lot was so pointless and of no benefit to anyone involved.

The deal has fallen through.

Rob Milson signs for Crawley until January. Released by Notts County at the end of last season and been with us all summer. He looked ok in the one half I saw him but I think it's a bit odd to wait until now to sign him on. Fair to say he is a decent lower league midfielder.

Barring registration difficulties I expect him to start against The Gas in the Carabo cup tomorrow.

10 in 30 is decent in a struggling side. Only 14 of those 30 we're starts too. Got to be an upgrade on the crap we have at the minute.

Not a player transfer, and I'm only mentioning this because the Cambridge lot might be interested, but unbeknown to most of us, Jez George joined us on a consultancy basis as Head of Football Operations at the end of last season.

Seems it's more the Academy side than anything to do with the first team.

This is interesting. My father in law is a Cambridge fan and has some strongly negative views on Jez George and largely blames him for a lot of the poor management (as he sees it) of the club in recent times.

We've signed Irish u21 keeper Keiron O'Hara from Man Utd on a season long loan. Been down here before at Morecambe apparently, any one remember him?

It sounds likely that we might keep Chuks Aneke until January now as Bolton are looking as if they're pulling out and nobody else is putting up the amount that we're asking for. If we do keep him and he realises that to leave in January he has to actually perform well and try, then we'll certainly stay up near the top until the window reopens.

Yeah, can recall them being not too complimentary. We also took their Head Scout who they seemed less than complimentary about, too!

Jez seems to be purely involved in the Academy, though. It's only been this summer that we've been recruiting paid backroom staff for it. Most was a voluntary basis and the FL seem to have certain positions that have to be covered as part of payments.

Calum Butcher is off the transfer list, he was superb on Tuesday so hopefully we can start to see the player that's played a integral part of a L1 promotion team two times. It's going to be like a new signing having a fit and ready Calum Butcher, I dread to think the wages we offered him to take him off Millwall last season only to play about two games.

Danny Rose played and scored against Accrington and apperantly kept saying sorry to the fans  He's had a bid from at least one more club from L1 other than Posh (Coventry/Pompey) but it's been rejected so i'm hopeful he stays but if the price is met it's going to be up to Danny.
