Seen a couple of Posh fans suggesting it could be Callum Cooke, which would surprise me. Yes, he's hardly played for them this season but they paid a fee to sign him from Middlesbrough during the summer. I'd expect them to loan him out rather than cutting their losses so soon.
Are both him and Cooper wingers? Given their squad, that position is probably the only realistic transfers options for us.

He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming...WOODYARD'S COMING HOME...
I wish! We do need another CM, preferably of the ball winning type because none of the current lot really are.

Centre mid/attacking mid. Didn't really get the game time he needed at Blackpool last season but I know Crewe fans rate him from his time there.

Like a McCartan position then?

Looks like we’re signing Jim O’Brien from Bradford, seems like they’re sorry to see him go and he’s played a part in their recent upturn in form, so could be a good one.
Can’t fault his short time here - experienced, likes a tackle and good composure on the ball. Was realistically always a stop gap but did everything asked of, a good signing definitely.

I saw us linked with Cooper too but it seems odd that we would go after another attacking mid when what we really need is the opposite.

Anthony Gerrard has extended his contract with us till the end of the season. Great news as he’s been excellent for us so far.

Need to get Sowerby and Yates’ loan deals done till the end of the season if we want a chance of staying in the mix.

Basically exactly what we need. Think we’ve basically got him because we’ve offered 18 months, which is a lot for a player of that age but we are very much in needs must territory.

18 months isn’t excessive and if the main reason we got him , then a solid move by the club . We needed bite and character and then some

I’ve said all season no matter how bad Nottm County have been they wouldn’t go down but recently it appears they actually might. Good signing that one.

An entire division awaits with baited breath in anticipation at how they can possibly fuck this one up...

Would be funny, still don’t think it will happen though.

Cooke is class for this league and I'm surprised he's not quite pushed on higher up. Cooper is wank who will only turn up for about 5 games a season and it's a depressing yardstick that he was once our best player.

Pretty highly rated apparently and will be nice for Ring to have a Swedish mate seems as he’s never left his tiny town in Sweden before!

Not sure I’m 100% comfortable with filling the squad with Swedish guys but Jolley very rarely gets it wrong (in fact apart from Robles I don’t think he has) so I’ll trust his judgement.

I echo the sentiments of my fellow esteemed Crewe fan here.

Can't say a bad word about Cooke. Thought Peterborough was a terrible move for him as Cooke has to be playing week in week out in the CAM position in order for him to truly prosper and he was never gonna get that with Steve Evans' approach to transfers being akin to that of a 10 year old boy on Football Manager who signs for signings sake.

However, I knew it wouldn't be long until Cooper dropped back into League Two. The kid does have talent but he's too lightweight, lacks a brain and prefers to go out on the piss than work hard. Will be a non league player in 2 years.

Looks like we aren't likely to be able to do much business now, as without the Doidge money we'll be breaking the FFP rules. Not ideal given we've lost four loan players and have hardly any cover in midfield and none at full back, but we do have an awesome looking frontline with lots of options so hopefully we'll score enough and not get any injuries elsewhere.

Can’t Dale Vince just sponsor the bogs for £500,000 or something.

Apparently Crawley and Northampton are both interested in signing Nadesan (from Fleetwood).

When talking about Nadesan, Holdsworth also mangled the following sentence 'If he hasn't gone to a certain club who are going to spend a hell of a lot of money on him, and he doesn't want to go there, because it's a new beginning and his career might suffer'. Don't know who the certain club might be, but I think I remember Peterborough being mentioned.

He wasn't sure whether the compensation we recieve from Chesterfield could be put towards a bid for Nadesan, but didn't rule it out either.

Although Joey Barton said Nadesan would fight for a place at Fleetwood, I think everyone's just treating that as guff, the sort of thing managers say about fringe players they'd be more than happy to accept a bid for.

We could do with another forward after Van Veen left, is he any good?

He's a very different striker from Van Veen (who looked pretty good at Brunton Park earlier this season). He's not a target man, and not known for aerial ability though his finishing has shown improvement. He's very fast, good at passing and pounces on loose and terrifies defenders, perfect for the counter-attacking football we've been playing. Curle will be familiar with him from last season's loan spell, though he's come on a lot since then.

Really think Nadesan would fit into our style of play. Was a real handful on Saturday.

We were linked with him earlier in the window but seems to have gone quiet since.
