(Regarding Adams) I wouldn't be surprised, however he left us because he wanted to be 'up north' closer to his family.

And that's the reason he left Crawley a few seasons ago too.

Pretty sure Devitt mentioned homesickness during one of his loan spells with us.

Don’t look at our twitter this afternoon then...

Did we persuade him that in the 3 years since he left the town, it has since migrated north 100 miles?

Delighted Adams is back, hes about as proven quality for a wide man you can get at this level. He is an odd one though in that he gets promoted consistently but never goes to league 1 level, no idea why.

Did Northampton get taken over by a billionaire or something? They are seriously pushing the boat out on some of these signings. Adams, Lines, Smith. The combined wages for all 3 will surely be quite substantial. Bet the offer to Warburton was competitive as well to get him over other teams.

How are they affording this given Thomas put the club up for sale 12 months ago?

Shoved a lot of big earners out. And we’re up for sale but he’s said he’ll still finance the team

McCourt

Didn’t pull up any trees for us. Squad player at best. Wouldn’t be the worst signing, though.

HOLD THE FRONT FUCKING PAGE, WE'VE MADE A NEW SIGNING.

Jak McCourt. Name rings a bell, but don't recall anyone ever raving about him.

We got some chinese investment around 2 years ago that eventually went tits up. But when it happened we started giving out silly money to players, Matt Crooks, Kevin Van Veen, Ash Taylor etc . All have since departed, so have Buchanan and O'Toole who will have been on good money so the wage bill has been freed up hugely. No doubt though we will have a solid budget for this season.

Jak McCourt signed. Anybody know what he’s like?

We had him for a little bit a few years ago, loves a tackle but generally was a bit meh. Scored an absolutely WORLDY for Swindon last season if memory serves.

He scored the winning goal against you in the last minute for Swindon this season.

Really frustrating player for me, works hard and looks busy but his passing was often wayward which for a centre midfielder is unforgivable.

He will be a handy enough player for you I would imagine.

I think you may be referring to the goal he scored the season before for Chesterfield at Swindon. His only goal for us last season was at Macclesfield, and wasn't a WORLDY.

Yeah, meh is probably accurate to describe him.

Fair play to Cobblers, Nicky Adams is a great signing, always rated him for Carlisle and Bury.

Whoops. Northampton was mentioned but it was believed he wanted somewhere up here. Obviously you offered him a good deal. Good luck to him.
