We have now confirmed Jamie Proctor on a season long loan.

Pretty much a like for like swap for Kyle Wootton who we let go early today. He's a big lad who seems to try but doesn't score enough goals. Not really going to improve our team that much.

Did well here on loan a few seasons ago, surprisingly skilful at times, won’t score many but more than solid for L2.

He looked great for us when he signed but suffered a bad injury in a terrible tackle from a Charlton player.

He hasn't got back to his best yet, but Warney believes in him because he gave him a new contract earlier this year for 2 years I think.

Doing his mate Hirsty a favour here, trying to save his job.
Lets hope he does well for you and comes back to his best form.

Proctor is a good player, I liked him when he was here. Good hold up play and good feet for a big man.

Like wise for Jamie Proctor. I rated him here (at Crawley) but he has a problem scoring goals which means he will be left out for others who can score.

Hopefully he can do well for us and help keep us afloat. Always saw him as a bit of a lump, hope he is better than that.

Bad news at Crawley.

Josh Dacres-Cogly's injury against Orient turns out to be a fracture which will keep him out for two-three months. He has returned to Brum for treatment.

Joe McNerney's injury is a long term back problem. The centre half has returned to training with the physios but no date set for a match return.

We have two centre halves and a midfielder who can play there! I would expect a loan signing from ... Inter Milan... Well a loan signing anyway.

Jamie Proctor seems to have been around for years. I'm could've sworn he'd be 32/33 by now but he's only 27!

Pretty meh

The Forest lad seems a prospect and we've had him in for a while. Midfielder too so hopefully an option to avoid last week repeating itself when Manny and/or Monty are missing.

Brisley is alright I guess, competitive cover for Smith and Leggey.

No idea on Archer, couldn't even find a wiki page, in fact came up with the goalkeeper of the same name!

Scunny fans - we (Notts) have signed Kyle Wootton on a season loan from you lot. Any good? Do a job in NL?
He pretty much useless. He had a few games last season in L1 where he held his own, but other than that he was terrible. I have never rated him even as a junior and never understood why we gave him a professional contract. Hopefully he'll do you some good so you will sign at season's end.

He has to be better than Wootton.

Happy enough, decent enough pedigree to compete with Smudge and Leggy.

Bris was excellent the season before last when we made the play-offs, solid at the back and a threat in the other box too. Last season he was hit by the collective breakdown/lack of confidence or whatever that affected 6 or 7 of our star performers from the play-off season, and like most of them never really recovered from a shocking start.

He’s not the greatest ball-player by any means, but there is a good defender in there if his head is right.

Nice to see a realistic appraisal mate instead of the usual

Scannell to Blackpool confirmed. Harry Pritchard on a 2yr deal the other way. No idea what to think about that as a straight swap but it should still allow us to bring in a few more with the wages saved.

We don't have anyone who can score. Our top scorer is a CB, who only just gets a game as a defender.

He always seems to score in his first few games then goes ten without, hits another couple and goes another ten without. I haven't got his stats in front of me but that always seems to be true about him.

The thing is he creates lots of space for the poacher type to bang lots in.

Another high earner off the wage bill. Scannell hasn't showed hes worth that money whatsoever. No idea what Pritchard is like as a player, I'm sure theres still room for one or two more too. We definitely need another centre midfielder and a winger, possibly another striker as backup if we can find space in the budget.

Well we made the very stupid decision to announce Rory Gaffney on a season long loan from Salford as our ‘marquee’ signing. The striker we have been waiting for, for a month or so apparently.

We have some thick fans who have done nothing but abuse it, however, that is some very meh PR by us.

All the faith in the world for DC, but the some cracks are widening.

No idea what Pritchard is like as a player

Decent winger. Can play either side. Pretty good for a very, very average Maidenhead side in the conference. I consider him the better prospect out of Pritchard and Sam Barrett who ended up at Sarfend. Neither of them good enough for League One yet IMHO, but both have the potential for decent lower league careers.

Looks like a keeper and Anthony Grant will be among any signings today. Not sure what the issue has been with Grant and Shrewsbury.

Grant is a very good signing. Did a good job for us though didn’t end well at Vale over money if I remember rightly. Grant does seem to be somewhat of a disruptive influence behind the scenes at times but on the pitch he will be a real asset.

Find it weird how you can get to 32 and still be a bit of a trouble maker. Don't reckon Wellens would stand for it anyway as seen with Anderson and last season Vigouroux.

He’s hot headed, there was a video last season of him grabbing a teenager who was giving him stick at a train station by the throat, and managed to get a six match ban for going after a referee at full time after being sent off (even though we won the game!) during our relegation season.

Believe the Shrewsbury issue was reported a month ago but the club haven’t said what he has done. He fell out with Smurf at Vale i believe.

That said he was quality and would probably have seen us stay up had he not got banned then sold weeks later and that was at league one level. He used to break up opposition play and we missed him ever since until Manny Oyeleke signed last year (but he can’t stay fit!)

He is a pain in the arse but would have him back in a heartbeat.

He's a very decent player but was also abit of a bad apple here behind the scenes apparantly.
