George Cooper looks likely to stay with us until the end of the season. We also have an option to buy. Excellent player, wand of a left foot.

Where’d you get that Leon, I thought there was some doubt (though this might just be an attempt to get us to buy him before Friday)?

Meanwhile, Crawley have 31 (!) players on their books.

Even if we lose two or three I can't us getting anyone in.

We've loaned Jimmy Smith to Yeovil again so one down. Any takers for some top quality (cough!) players?

Jordan Tillson to Scottish Premier League giants, Ross County confirmed.

Glad we’ve managed to get him off the wage bill as he’s not good enough for L2. It really does show the poor standard of Scottish football! Good luck to him as he always gave 100% commitment but just struggles to do the football bit very well.

Darren Ferguson has said it’s likely he will stay with us until the end of the season.

Recalled the highest goal scorer in the world or whatever, Swindon won’t pay enough for said player (which would guarantee them going up), seems straight forward enough.

I was speaking in purely footballing terms, would seem better all round in that aspect. Thanks.

O’Connor is the sort of player that could have changed our fortunes. Salford going to be strong next season.

I understand we offered £100k for him - you wanted double. It looks like we’ve bowed out and are signing Will Grigg today or tomorrow according to the press our end.

The fact is, Bradford still wanted Doyle gone.

Grigg would all but confirm Swindon’s promotion. You’d imagine he’d tear up League two

Would score for fun I'd imagine. Not sure what's gone on at Sunderland though I think they were ultra defensive until Parkinson came in.

I’d still prefer Doyle back, tbh. At least we know it works with him.

This is true. Sometimes players just don’t fit in for whatever reason, so getting someone like Grigg who’s presumably on decent money, does come attached with a risk. However, I still think he will be a top signing for half a season.

Pompey keeper Luke McGhee linked with loan move to the Bantams, suggests that is confirmation that O'Donnell has done his hamstring.

I have never known a season like this for the amount of injuries and illness we have suffered

Seen Josh Kayode has been linked to Carlisle on loan from Rotherham, we were linked to him the other day.

I am curious if this means we are looking at recalling Olomola (if we still can) as all of our strikers except Van Veen are horrendous.

Kayode confirmed on loan.

He might turn out to be decent, but putting our survival hopes on a 19yr old who has been playing conference north just sums up our clubs desire to stay in the football league.

Would not be surprised if Olomola goes back. He started well but hasn’t been in the team for a couple of months now. The new manager doesn’t seem to rate him, I think he’s half decent.

Only £200k for Doyle? F*ck me Rovers get in there now. That's a bargain!

I'm shocked you're getting Grigg, if true. He's far too good for L2 and Sunderland signed him for £4m just 1 year ago. Can't believe he wouldn't go to another L1 team

He almost certainly would go to another L1 team but Sunderland are not going to loan him to a L1 challenger so I guess loaning him to a team challenging for promotion from L2 should be beneficial for all parties.

he is out of contract at the end of the season so 200k for a 32 year old striker with only a few months left on his contract seems steep. Also you can sign him but he wouldn't be able to play for you until next season so I can't see Eoin being too happy to do that! (2 club in a season rule innit)

Quite a fall from grace really, Sunderland paid 4 million quid for the guy!

I'd definitely want to keep Olomola if we could, but the situation is very different to what it was early in the season. Now he's fallen out of contention at Carlisle while Scunthorpe are in a comfortable place in the table, the opportunity to return to Scunny should seem like a no-brainer for him. Depends on Hurst though, sounded like he didn't rate him and that may not have changed.

Most of the United fans still like him, and he had already started to drop out of the team under Pressley so in Beech's defence he came in with Olomola already warming the bench. I hope he gets his chance though as Beech has been able to improve the players he has put out so far and Olomola has quality and will surely score goals if he just starts taking up better positions and stops hanging back as a virtual midfielder (which is why he got dropped in the first place).

Oh yeah, Kayode, forgot about him. He'll get a chance I'm sure.

Yeah forgot about the 2 club rule, thought that was just for loans! I guess £200k is a lot for L2 for his age Vs contract length - I didn't realise he was that old!

Was Grigg injured or something? The bloke is quality, I'm genuinely shocked he would feel the need to drop to L2. Also surprised Sunderland wouldn't loan him to someone lower in L1, Bolton is one you'd really expect to be interested.

Tom Dalison signs a contract extension at Crawley. Now up to the end of season 20/21

He is not my favourite player but he has been just about ever present when fit and available so fair enough I suppose.

I will say Sendles-White looks a better player but hardly features. I'm just a fan. What do I know?

Sunderland really, really want him gone. £4m pissed up the wall. If he can do a ‘Doyle’ for us until the end of the season they may get a reasonable fee for him in the summer. Someone our end said he is having a medical today.

Bonkers really. That’s like 75% of our annual turnover or something - and we’re in the same division ffs. In fact until the weekend we were ahead of them in the table!

Yeah, crazy money.

Makes me wonder where we’re getting it from!

The reported story is Hurst fell out with Olomola, Van Veen and Hammill in pre-season. Van Veen was the only one who agreed to change his ways by the looks of things and he shipped off Hammill and Olomola. I can't see us recalling him but I wish we did as our strikers are shit apart from Van Veen.

We have signed Alfie Beestin from Tadcaster Albion. He will join our u23's side but might move to our first team if he's any good. Remember him scoring against us the other year for Donny.
