Jamille Matt isn't as good a signing as some on here will make out. Sticking to my guns on this one, so lump on him being topscorer next season.

We're linked with Theo Robinson and he was also recently posting about looking for movers to Birmingham - likely some Twitter fo-agent putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 though.

Seems like Forest Green will be signing Jordan Moore-Taylor tomorrow.

Would be a good signing for them if he can shrug off his injury issues.

I would definitely put money on him being our top scorer, as long as our team is set up to get early balls into the box...which it hasn't been since Cooper arrived at the club, so it may indicate a change in tactics from our Brazil-esque approach to something a little more direct. Our top scorer last season was Joe Mills, a left sided defender, who scored a magnificent seven. Jamille won't have to try too hard to overhaul that total.

He's had several seasons in his career he hasn't surpassed seven. Also, did George Williams ever get as good as you lot were hoping he would be?

Sadly George broke his leg about two minutes into last season and never really got a chance again.

CJ to Blackpool for £300k plus add ons is rumoured.

He was embarrassingly poor last season, he forgot how to hit a ball, but only the season before we turned down a heavily rumoured £750,000 because he was so good that season.

If it’s true he’s only got a year left, we must sell now or extend his contract, one good season again and you are potentially looking over half a million.

We like signing injury prone players. Dawson looked a top signing last season, problem was he was injured most of the time, as had been the case at Cheltenham.

Signed Jamille Matt, ex-Newport County, on a one year deal. This will please most Rovers fans as we haven't really had a forward who looked like scoring that often since Christian Doidge left.
Cooper going hoof ball?

I doubt we'll change our style too much, didn't play any different when we had Reuben Reid and Christian Doidge.

Add to that all our defensive signings seem to be footballing defenders, Sweeney supposedly some sort of lower league Cruyff/David Luiz according to Barnet fans, and Moore-Taylor who is another ball playing CB by the sounds of it. That's with the likes of M Mills and Rawson going, who were more out and out defenders and less good with their feet.

Personally, I reckon Cooper has run his race at FGR.

Looks like Jake Eastwood 6/4 23 year old keeper from Shef Utd will be next through the door.
Spent last season at Scunny.
Also got Alex Baptiste on trial......was good 10 years ago when we had him, but he hardly is match fit these days......May be pay as you play contract.

Another trialist is Jak Hickman.....Dont want him anywhere near the club.

not a clue about the player only that he had the best pass accuracy at 86.8% lass season in lge 2
Will have to play at the top of his game to dislodge either Crawford or Sercevic

I think he had a five year contract when he arrived four years ago which, unless it has been extended, gives him one year remaining. Dale isn't a sacking sort of Chairman, we are only on our third manager in something like ten seasons, so I can see Cooper being given a contract extension if we do well next season...he certainly seems to have the Chairman's backing if the summer signings, and appointment today of an assistant, are anything to go by.

Looks like Barrow are keen to sign Jamie Devitt.

Bolton were interested but that’s gone quiet now, as were we but the uncertainty around us possibly going part time put that potential move down the pan.

Looks like we are close to signing Daniel Devine from Bradford. Can’t say I know much about him.

What kind of player is he, Bradford fans? And is he any good?

On a good day he's a typical 6/10 steady away midfielder. Problem is, those days are very few and far between. He doesn't venture forward and isn't particularly good in the tackle either. Physically, he's a bit weak too. He'll stick to the simple passes which depending on the team he plays in may be beneficial. Can also play RB at a push but he never looked comfortable there.

A fresh start should do him good but in truth he stayed here two years longer than he should've done and is a typical player vastly overrated by our fans because he's from the academy. I'm personally amazed he's stayed in the football league.

Brandon Comley the latest player linked with Bolton...Colchester utd last season
Average at best when we had him, but that was in a shit team. I think he's done pretty well at Colchester.

Can only see him as a squad player. We have some good central midfielders.
Just short of a holding minder type player.
I dont think he is that type of player.

Jake Hessenthaler's on a free, fits that mould and will be a brilliant signing for someone in this division. Dunno if he'd go all the over to the North West though, we were the furthest he'd been last season in terms of clubs he's played for. I'm hoping once we know what's going on with the start of the season, he'll still be available and we can get him back.

Pretty meh, tbh.

McCall first brought him through during the 16/17 season in L1, and tbh, he looked like he would go on to do good things. In all fairness, he was very unlucky to be dropped, but one Josh Cullen came in, he never stood a chance.

Disappointingly for him, Timotheé Dieng took his place from the bench most weeks.

McCall brought him through, McCall let him go. That’ll tell you all you need to know, at a time when we literally had no CM’s.

Crawley sign another young winger. Zaid Al-Hussaini. 20 years old from Derby academy. I would have thought he is one of those give me a go and if it doesn't work out it's no big deal but Yems has said he has been recommended by an old friend from Bournemouth.

There again he has been playing at that footballing hotspot of Potters Bar Town.

Sure he's got an option on his contract. He'd be a big loss IMO

I agree. I have mixed feelings on CJ. He is good but he should be better. He needs to polish the technical side of his game and be more of a leader. Not the shouty type but more confident on the ball and ruthless. He always seems as though he is waiting for someone to tell him where or when to run. He should be goals and assists galore by now.

He should take the move if he can get it.

I think you really have to make CJ fit in to a team, you can’t just randomly chuck him on the wing with no specific tactics, he needs certain amount of freedom.

He’s the perfect example of a confidence player.

First I've heard or seen anything of such, where did you find that?

When we signed Levi Sutton from Scunny the other week it was said on here he would’ve been released years ago had it not been for the fact he came through the youth system, which is exactly the same as what you’d say for Devine.

We've signed Paul Digby on a one year deal. What's he like Forest Green, Mansfield and Stevenage fans?
