We’re close to signing a right back and a centre back, apparently but neither will be announced till after 1st August (if they sign, obviously).

Taylor has also told a couple of players they can leave for other clubs, and no other signings will happen until anyone leaves. Speculation that Pierce Sweeney could be one of the players free to leave, but it’s all guess work at this stage.

Would not surprise me if we sign Woodyard or Luke Prosser next.

Although Woodyard was going to Tranmere apperantly.
Would have thought Mansfield suited Woodyard better location wise. He was always heading back down south after games.

It’s gone deadly quiet on that one, after claims from those supposedly itk that it was a done deal. Expecting us to be gazumped by Mansfield or another moneybags side for his services

On his day a good player. Best game for us when we beat Fulham in the fa cup 2019 he was man of the match that day but to many days when he did nothing

If you need a very basic non league standard centre forward who's pretty slow and only scores penalties then I'd say it's a cracking signing.

In all honesty it's hard to rate any of the lads from last season but from what is saw of him I thought he was extremely limited and not really up to this level.

Really Boss? I thought the squad you had last season was clearly of a better overall standard than the one you in your first season back in the FL. I recall saying on here that you had a decent side and should stay up comfortably after that 2-2 draw at the Abbey.

Re. Ironside - I thought he was very good in the reverse fixture at the Moss Rose and George Taft just couldn't cope with him all afternoon. Still it's not wise to rate a player after watching him just the one time
and you're in a far better position than I am to comment on the lad's abiltiy. Or lack of ;)

Are there any decent RB’s available on a free? My knowledge of players in this league is shocking.

- and don’t say Tony McMahon.

I’ve always rated Ryan Jackson. No idea if he’s available.

Just looked. Released by Colchester. Get in there quick!

We've been linked with Manny Onariase from Dagenham:

Would be happy with this, thought he was a good CB for them each time I've seen him play.

Manny was fantastic for us in his first loan spell. His second loan spell he was an absolute disaster.

Lovely guy though, wish him all the best.

What other job will he be doing whilst playing part time?
Not sure.

Anyway he may not even need a job. Rumours on our forum that we’ll be operating on the part time furlough scheme.

Gethin Jones has just rejected a contract offer from us. Mansfield fans will probably say he’s shit but he really isn’t. Just a good steady reliable right back that will put in 7/10 performances every week.

Ian Henderson linked!

Even though McCall has assured fans that Vaughan isn’t going anywhere unless we were significantly compensated, they still believe he’s off.

Just causes more unrest amongst our fanbase. Wish he would just come out and say he’s staying.

Ben Gladwin, who was supposedly interesting a few clubs down here including us and Orient, has signed a new deal at MK Dons.

Crawleys twatter page has said we will have three new signings in August.

No clue to who they are but I suppose it could be the Premier, Championship and league 1 players they mentioned last week....or not.

He won’t go back to L2. Way too good for that again. Chance he may be Swansea’s first choice if they don’t go up. I’d think, if he’s loaned out again, it’d be back to us.

I doubt that. There’s absolutely no benefit to him or Swansea to stay in L2. Loans are about progressing a young player, not stagnating.

Known in these here parts as Mayonnaise. Pretty bog standard CB who has probably improved in the year back at Rovers. If you need a head it, kick it kind of player he’s ideal. If you’re after a bit of playing it out of defence player, you’ll be disappointed.
