Good player for us last season.
I thought Bolton' transfer embargo also said that you were limited to 6 month long loans though? IF that's the case you'll only have him until the end of January?
Whats Matty Platt like.....think he will be announced in the morning also on loan from Blackburn?

well they clearly weren’t shocking results wise, but they weren’t good to watch. That’ll be us next season and if it gets us promotion then so be it
What the fuck! Played some of the best football seen since Hoddle, you plum.

The same as I said Mansfield were one of the best sides we played, that one game I saw was obviously an anomaly as you were flirting with relegation most of the season.

We were wank pretty much all season, it was eye wateringly bad. Was normally in our bar for half past 3, some were well ahead of that haha.

obviously a bad sign for dempster when we actually did play well we still managed to lose.

Salford, Mansfield and Bolton all building very strong squads. Almost leaving the other L2 teams behind in terms of signings and quality. Salford and Mansfield will be in my top 3 prediction, not sure on Bolton yet. Depends if Eoin Doyle hits the ground running.

weve a lot of new players. Can’t see us being top 3.

Might hit the playoffs though if lucky

Hate to say it but I think Salford will win the League. They’ve made some excellent signings already and I’m sure there’ll be plenty more.

Coughlan worked wonders with that Bristol Rovers squad before leaving for you lot. Look how they fell like a stone when he left.

Now he’s got the chance to work on his own squad, I think you’ll be up there. Fiver on you lot to finish top 3.

yeah that one is known to be full of shit. There’s another one though that keeps getting transfers right, says he gets his info off a mate who is an agent, but saw someone accuse him of trawling through club forums for his info.
no mention of Sarcevic....is he good enough to start

I admire you’re optimism, we’ve been burned a few times recently though, so think most of our fans will have more grounded views

We've signed Rollin Meneyese, hope he's as good as his name. Another incoming today aswell. Fingers crossed its Woodyard.
Decent player, should do well in L2. Got a load of potential, just needs the game time. At the end of the day, he's probably 6th in line in CB, I reckon GC can make a good defender of him though.

If we'd have had any other manager apart from Garner, we'd have stayed in and around the play offs without doubt. Garner came in and lost 9/12 or something ridiculous. GC did do a very good job, though.

I was surprised at how poorly he's been at Mansfield so far if I'm honest. Next season he should turn it around though. His problem is that I'm not sure he actually knows how to manage properly? I'm going to guess Mansfield play 3-5-2? When he saved us from relegation it was all about tightening up the defence and fighting for the shirt. After summer he was tinkering constantly and nothing seemed to work, we were terrible. Then suddenly 3-5-2 worked and the rest was history with him. If you get found out though, you're in trouble.

Curious to hear Mansfield fans' opinions?

basically dempster had ruined what we had in about 6 months, we also had no midfield and there was a massive issue between the fans and theplayers.

we were better under him and you could see the improvement, fitness improved and he soon weeded out the bad eggs. There were some good performances in there also. His remit was to steady the ship and steer clear of relegation and he did both.

Yes, although his influence in forward areas will depend on how Evatt wants to use him in my opinion. Under Derek Adams he was played deeper, and it limited him. Under Ryan Lowe he played alongside Danny Mayor, with someone sat behind him, allowing him to push on and get into those attacking areas.

He may not be the best technically but he will work his socks off every game and play for the shirt. Great with the fans. You’ll love him.

You cannot ask for more than that. I think our midfield will over run a lot of teams next year. Crawford/Sarcevic will proberbly vie for the number ten just behind Doyle. Darcy is technically good, tackles and covers every blade of grass....The new lad Tom White on loan from Blackburn/Barrow i am told is very like Darcy. Politic wide can be unplayable with a eye for a special goal on occasions....just needs consistency. Then we will have Comley protecting the back three.

To be fair, as unimpressed as I've been so far he's come in an inherited a totally unfit side, Be interesting to see how he gets on with his own players in the squad. I'll admit I'm not buzzing with excitement for the style of football but if he has us challanging then I'll get over it.

sounds like a pretty good summary of White that. pretty similar to Lewis Hardcastle who we signed from Blackburn after a successful loan in 2018/19. Gets in the box slightly more than Hardcastle and not quite as technically gifted - but there wasn't much in it.

Lewis Hardcastle would walk to Bolton to play for Evatt......He is Bolton born....the agreement both clubs have will not let that happen and i hope after Matty Platt he leaves Barrows players alone.....I hope if he sends some of our youngsters out on loan this season he sends a couple of them your way.

You maybe correct....common knowledge we was talking to both white and Platt. We had to wait on Blackburn.
That hurdle was crossed today.....We was also in talks with Jordon Turnbull who signed for Salford today.
Strong rumours a centre half is incoming tomorrow.....so maybe its one that has gone under the radar.

I have more confidence in him than I did at the same time as Evans, Flitcroft and Dempster.

Yep, this will be the biggest signing of our summer. Should be playing in League 1, and Evatt will be pig sick that he couldn't get that deal over the line.

Ian Henderson signing for Salford according to Journo Alan Nixon.

Some team they are going to have.
