Agreed, Vilnius is worth a visit.
May I suggest a visit on Air Baltic out of Gatwick Airport. A decent airline who use a lovely aircraft into Gatwick. You travel via Riga (another nice place) and it would help me get back to work again.

Tyler Frost signs for Crawley on a two year deal after his release from Reading u23s.

A creative midfielder (it says somewhere) whose highlight of his career seems to be a loan spell at Havant and Waterlooville.

It seems he was training with us prior to the lockdown.

Thats two youngsters and a player from the conference signed on and rumours of Palmer and Camara leaving. We're after the mid table cup!

Archie Davies signs for Crawley after his release from Brighton u23s.

A right back.

We now have three right backs all with new contracts. Teams with left wingers will have no chance.

Elliott Frear being linked with Leyton Orient. Would be a decent signing.

We will be announcing our first signing tomorrow, a former player according to our chairman. Junior Brown is the main suggestion, would be happy with that as he was good on loan.

Dannie Bulman signs on for Crawley for another season.

41 years old and still fitter than most at this level. More importantly still a good player who will hold down a place on merit. It does skew the average age of the squad somewhat.

He will have a player/coach role.

Only been to Mansfield once, so may be doing it a disservice, but there are bits of Lithuania that are far far nicer.

I really enjoyed lithunia. Did one of those cruises where you did all the Baltic states, really nice.

cheers for the comparison bud

We do need a younger left footed winger.

I saw that on one of those twitter transfer profiles and thought it was a bit of a wind up, but I think Cooper has frozen him out at your place?

Not frozen out, released. He started in our last league game at Swindon, and set up the first goal. Bit of a surprise he was let go tbh, but we seem to have released pretty much all of our out of contract players, many of who were regulars.

Btw if anyone would like to sign Adam Smith or Shawn McCoulsky, feel free. Both made available on a free.

What the fuck are you talking about. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt but like others I now think you’re actually Devon Lad’s 12 year old Cousin.

Airbus A220? Wouldn’t mind giving it a spin. Been Tallinn and it’s lovely so imagine Vilnius is similar.

First signing for us confirmed, Stephen Hendrie who used to be at Southend. Another left back, so we have 3 now. Hopefully he's binning off Luke Conlan.

I've eard he has already signed but no word from Wimbledon, Crawley or the man himself.

Not a fan of the sanctimonious ones but good luck to Palmer where ever he may end up.

Tony Craig signs for Crawley after his release from the Gas. He is 35 now but has played 80 times in league 1 over the last two seasons so still must have a bit about him. A welcome bit of experience in a naive back line.

Also hearing a rumours that Glenn Murray may fancy a last hurrah. It's not a strong source but it did make my eyebrows raise.

Great signing for you -- Craig was brilliant for us last season.

Finn Azaz signs on loan from WBA and Lewis Freestone has signed permanently from Brighton.

Azaz is a midfielder in the Jake Doyle-Hayes mould and Freestone is a left-sided defender who'll be back up to Chris Hussey.

What’s he like? I do remember him keeping Randall Williams pretty quiet when you beat us the season before last...

The two players we’ve offered contracts to have verbally agreed deals but yet to sign, so hopefully will be done this week.

Another name mentioned was Yoann Zouma who was recently released by Bolton. Not too sure on that one as I get the feeling Taylor wants an experienced back line.

Harry Davis is Steve Davis' son isn't he? Crewe fans seemed to think that was the only reason Harry got picked, might be wrong though.

Always tough playing for your dad.

Harry Davis signs a 1 year deal. Grimsby fans? I seem to remember Crewe fans saying he's crap, has he improved?

Oh boy where do I start with this one? I've watched us for nearly 20 years and if there's one player I've absolutely despised in that time it's him. And we've had a lot of bad players. I can accept not everyone will be good. But it's his own attitude and the rampant nepotism (which was obviously more his Dad rather than him) that means he's a comfortable winner over the likes of Darren Moss, Danny O'Donnell, Steven Schumacher, Anthony Elding or Marcus Haber.

You'd think I'm mad for slating a lad who played over 200 times for us, but if his Dad wasn't at the club he probably wouldn't have made a start. His elevation into the team was weird back in 2011, I think he had 2 substitute appearances in 2 years under his belt and we were absolutely skint and didn't sign a single outfielder after releasing half the squad. We released Chey Dunkley (who has since accumulated lots of Championship and League One experience) over him. Despite no credentials, we made him a regular and the staff celebrated him like a £200,000 signing. We played him fullback even though he was a centre half and he was largely disappointing. But then we found out he could take penalties better than most the squad so he did score some vital goals in our promotion season and, to his credit, he did improve. So the fans laid off him a bit.

In League One he got absolutely destroyed at Brentford in one of our first games at that level and, as his Dad was gaffer, he couldn't drop Harry so fans favourite Adam Dugdale bore the brunt and fell out of favour, even though it was Davis and £80,000 signing Mark Ellis who had shockers that day. Harry was moved to CB and actually worked well with Mark Ellis. But things went well for Steve Davis back then.

From August 2013-January 2017 though, the club was toxic. Harry was made our highest paid player (which was wrong), spent half the time injured and his replacements actually did a better job than him in a bad team. We signed Anthony Stewart for £50,000 from Wycombe who never got a chance, we then released him, he went back there and has been pivotal in their rise to the Championship, winning League One playoff final man of the match last month. We had Semi Ajayi (now Premier League bound) on loan in our relegation season who was outstanding. What happened? Harry came back, we were offered an extension to Ajayi's loan by Cardiff, Daddy rejected it to play his son. We went down with a whimper. Harry was, of course, injured towards the season's end and had an altercation with fans at Fleetwood away on the last day.

Going on strike when his Dad was sacked was the last straw. Dave Artell wanted him to remain part of the club, Harry downed tools and forced through a loan move to St Mirren. Grimsby fans probably have more positive things to say about him, and he scored for them against us on the final day of 2018-19 which boiled our piss I must admit. But I genuinely have nothing positive to say about him.

On a lighter note, it used to be Shrewsbury in the 2000s and Port Vale in the early-mid 2010s, but now Morecambe seems to be the home for our rejects these days. That's McCready, Leitch-Smith, Sutton, Lynch, Moss, Dugdale, Miller, Molyneux, Oliver, Oswell and the late Christian Mbulu I can think of off the top of my head last 10 years.

Caprice is a decent player at this level. He is a typical modern full back in that he is not great defensively, but is good going forward and very quick. He was good when we won promotion from this division a couple of years ago.

He was a bit out of his depth in League One last season but I would have been happy to keep hold of him.
