You'll be up there, good manager, core of the side that nearly made the top 3 plus a couple of quality experienced additions in Williams and Sercombe. Would have liked to have seen Sercombe here tbh, we were one of the other clubs chasing him apparently.

Need to get a decent keeper in to cover for Flinders but other then that I'd be pretty happy where you're at.

The keeper is crucial. I wouldn't mind seeing us go back in for Owen Evans for another season.

With Wigan going down, I doubt he'll go to a League One club yet - he's still a baby in keeper's years. Worryingly, we don't even have a back up keeper at the moment, and Flinders has had a setback ruling him out until January.

Very happy with that - he's come in saying the right things as well. He's come here for a promotion battle. There's a little concern among the fans that we may have a bit of a playoff hangover. With Duff in charge though, I just don't see it.
I would have cheltenham as title favs slightly ahead of Salford.us and Bradford....with vale mansfield and forest green next.....Adds Exeter to that list

Did you release Lovett then? Thought he was meant to have some potential.

Joe Wollacott would be a decent option for you if you don't get Evans imo, did well for us in the main and think Bristol City would probably let him go out on loan again. They seem to have a few keepers.

Excellent signing for Cheltenham I’d say. I think he could have been a good player in L1 so Cheltenham should be very happy with this signing

I'm surprised he dropped to L2 tbh. Most fans wanted him to stay as we mostly felt he was our best/most gifted midfielder. I suspect him wanting to stay local played a big part in it.

Haven't heard of Andy Williams in a long time, is he any good these days?

Next signing being teased with a gif of 'deja vu', which suggests to me it's a re-signing.

My money is on Marcus Dewhurst. Highly rated young keeper who came on loan last season and took his place on the bench but partly because of the way the season ended, never got a chance to play. I think though we're keen to get him back and we don't currently have a goalie so of all our loanees he's the one I most expect to see at Brunton Park again.

It likely is dewhurst, but It’s funny seeing our fans expecting Devitt

I’m a non playing role we have confirmed ex Premier League star Frank Sinclair has joined as head of coaching development which works to link the youth team work to the first team to try and push that.

Would be good to reintroduce one of the few decent things Smurf (all be it through Micky Adams) did and get the development squad idea back up and running; got Jordan Hugill from Whitby who went on to go onto big things and Enoch Andoh I think who would of done had he not had a pro career ending injury months into his breakthrough away at Colchester. Ideally with the profits (£1.8 mil for Hugill sell on) not going into the chairman’s arse pocket this time!

Notice Cheye Alexander from that dev squad has got back in the EFL with Wimbledon too.

Have a friend who used to be the programme editor at Colwyn Bay back when Sinclair managed them

Rhys Lovett?

Young keeper, and the last of the squad that won the conference in 2016. Been backup for the last two seasons but was never really going to be a challenger to Scott Flinders. When Flinders broke his leg and we brought in Owen Evans, the writing was on the wall for him.

Played for the first team a few times, especially in the Checkatrade, and only had one disaster, against Newport last season.

He is yes, could do with an experienced good goal scorer though, some rumours of a big signing potentially from those ITK but no one seems to be spilling the beans as to it is! Not sure if linked to the L1 regular rumours or a new one. With Pope banned for six games and Cullen always potential to get injured we need cover ready to go. Probably a 20 goal man away from being real top 3 contenders.

Lovett and Visser are on trial as we look for a number 2 to Scotty Brown, ideally need someone we can mould into his successor!

Confirmed

Joshua Kayode signs for Carlisle on season loan from Rotherham.

Thought he was going to Swindon after the reports on here today, but looks like he was keen to return after a good spell got cut short earlier this year.

Really pleased. Expecting a big season from him and plenty of goals.

Makes note in diary - have seen a positive post about Carlisle from hellogregory...
Will need to book appointment at doctors - might be hallucinating.

I’ve been more positive this summer as we have a good head coach with a good idea and plan of what he wants in terms of recruitment. The complete opposite of what we had last summer.

I’m not predicting we’re going to be doing anything special, but we won’t be in relegation trouble like we were under Steven football terrorist Pressley.

Rovrum wanted a guarantee of first team football which we wouldn’t give and you would/did.

Sorry but there’s absolutely no way we’d guarantee that someone starts.

They’ve maybe judged it that he’s more likely to get games here, but there’ll be no guarantees.

Signed two more today...Some rwb from Carlisle who is a bad defender,And a 6/6 c/b who cannot get a regular game for Guyana.
Think we are paying each 8k a week which brings our spending now to over £8m
Most of these players nobody else wanted. Think we will a points deduction for FFP and a further one for not paying our players.

Barrow will win the league by ten points with all the good players who signed for them over us.

I feel a lot better now writing the truth. No more lies

yeah you are probably right. It was on one of those twitter ‘ITK’ accounts that stated ‘Carlisle have beaten Swindon to the signing of Kayode on guarantee of game time’.

so yeah, probably total nonsense.
