I dunno if another Stag posted it but Willem Tomlinson is free to leave after being a knobhead downtown the other week, played for Stanley other day too.

Tyrese Sinclair is apperantly being watched closely by some top tier teams (son of Frank) there’s been chat that he could be something special, but always go on the side of caution with those sort of remarks at this stage in his career.

I expect a Tomlinson replacement and somebody who can play down the left side potentially yet, also maybe a striker will still be sold.

A stalker and a personal attack in your second post? I've never seen any posts from you on White Review, unless you have a different user name there? I think it's a concern that O'Connor as our only current right-back is going to be missing 6 games meaning we'll have to improvise with a left-back/central defender there, but waiting to hear your positive take on that, which would be more interesting than sniping at a fellow Rovers fan
There are only about 10 regular people who post on White Review. I know at least 10 people who have been turned down after applying to join it. It isnt compulsory to post anything on this and despite the temptation to respond to our 4th division colleague from Bolton i thought i would allow him to dig his own hole without interference from me. At least he backs his team 100%. At least he is positive. In the case of football a bit of blind faith at this time of year is perfectly fine.

Looks like we’re signing attacker Owura Edwards on loan from Bristol City and another non-leaguer Luke Spokes from Taunton Town, said to be a CAM of sorts. Interesting.

We're being linked with three more youngsters. All midfielders/attacking mids, from what I can gather.

Terry Taylor at Wolves
Owura Edwards at Bristol City
Luke Spokes at Taunton Town

First two loans, second one a perm signing I'm assuming.

A bit on Spokes: ⚽ Mariners set to capture non league starlet

The Taylor loan has come from a Matt Dean (Radio Humberside) Tweet and Edwards is pure Fishy conjecture.

They're not loans that will require repayment on the original time frame. It was investment from the ownership into the management company to cover operational costs and the outgoings taken on as part of the takeover.

The club required the funding so it was supplied as loans and the interest paid is essentially the ownership dividends, the payment plan and structure of the 'loans' will be reviewed on a semi-regular basis dependant on the position of the club in the pyramid and the turnover of the businesses.
Bit late to this and it's already been covered, but that was kinda my point - you can't be debt free in August 2021 unless they write everything off, which they obviously won't be doing because they're making money off the loans. It was more the debt free comment from the other Bolton fan rather than the arrangement.

Looks like we dodged a bullet with Tomlinson deciding to join Mansfield when he was set to sign for us...

You lot seem to have had quite a few players getting into trouble over the last two or three years?

Well we had the issue with Mellis and Donahue under Dempster where it was a free for all.

GC doesn’t take any shit though, once he heard about Tomlinson he fined him the maximum and told him to he’s free to leave.

Last season the club had no leadership on or off the pitch basically, with Dempster and the Radfords living in Portugal. Got a better structure in place now with GC and David Sharpe running the club in a chief executive/director of football role.

He’s a decent enough player, and will probably be a good signing for most in this division.

We've signed Adam May on a one year deal following his release from Pompey. Not highly rated by Swindon fans?

If only one of the non-league youngsters come good and gets regular games I will be happy, who knows we might even get lucky and a couple come through. Better than journey men just going through the motions, eager youngsters for me any day.

Yeah was very disappointing on his loan last season. Not too many positives I can provide, sorry!

He won't be first choice but doesn't sound positive at all. I notice most of his appearances were from the bench. Why was he so poor?

A few points to dissect here. Was Dempster living with the Radfords in Portugal? Were the Radfords leaders on the pitch the season before?

Honestly, he couldn’t make the simplest pass to a colleague, seemed to have no positional awareness and was, generally, useless.

A shining example for Bolton's youth team players.

I think this is pretty accurate. He’s still young so maybe you’ll find some positives. Year long deal so probably a cheap ‘prove yourself young man’ type of offer. Will be interested to see how he gets on. Wellens definitely rated him but it just never worked at Swindon for whatever reason.

We're signing Andy Cook. Any good?
i'm tempted to say "now who's trolling" - but he's played half his career with us already - well maybe not half but he's signed 4 times before - twice on loan and twice permanently.

I dunno - it's a rumour that's not gone away, and certain people who can 'usually' be trusted are keeping it going. I do know we were talking to him last season before Tranmere blew us out of the water, and I had heard we enquired again earlier this summer. A few things are starting to add up, but it might just be people playing silly beggars.
