Confirmed we had talks with Henderson, Maynard, Hiwula and Agard but none would come for various reasons. Now looking at a youngster on loan. Unless he's an absolute world beater, we won't be troubling the playoffs.
The correct route to go down...We have talked with players who got released yet wanted a pay rise to come to a team on the way up. Great stadium facilities etc, but wanted a pay hike when 100s of players are not getting fixed up.

According to one of those transfer rumour profiles on Twitter, we’ve offered Will Keane a deal - this would be in addition to the young Palace striker.

Thankfully, they’re never right.

We have signed Kaiyne Woolery. Think he was out of contract after being with Swindon Town last season.

Thoughts Swindon fans?

That's Ellis, Monthe and Woolery signed from the team that destroyed you at Wembley 17.

Reckon you'll be going for Liam Noble next. Or maybe Sham Mullings.

We also had Drissa Traore for a very short spell.

Plucked up the courage and watched the highlights of that game for the first time the other day. Just hope Woolery is as prolific for us as he was against us.

Oh yeah, remember that now. Surprised he didn't do better for you, very good technically, very hard to get the ball off, useful in sides that like to play through the thirds, always a safe option for a defender on the ball.

His mother died and he went back to France to look after his younger siblings.

He is mighty fast. I liked him, though. He works hard, racked up the assists and is surprisingly good in the air. He is also immensely strong, physically.

He is a poor striker, has poor decision making in the final third, despite the assists (he really should have more). The sort of player you’d like to come on with 20 minutes to go against a tiring defence.

On balance - a good signing I’d say.

Wouldn’t disagree with anything ID has said about Kayne. These were interesting comments about him from Wellens today.....

Wellens on Woolery : "His agent is the chief exec of Tranmere so how does that work. He's a brilliant kid and was a big part of what we did last year. I'd like to have kept him and I don't think it's a good move for him."

Never knew that about his agent! Anyway, no sour grapes from me about Woolery. He’d been with us long enough to know his pros and cons.

Been linked with Will Keane, ex Walsall right back Shay Facey and a Polish striker Patryk Mikita this morning.

Well, we are certainly desperate for a right back and a couple of strikers, have been since the end of last season actually.

So he’s a chief executive and a agent? :bl:

How many players is this person representing!

Sounds like a good move for us then hoping it all works out for him!

As for his agent being a chief executive at Tranmere that’s 100% not true. If it’s the agent I think it is then he’s got close ties to the club but he’s not an executive in any way at this present time.

Shay Facey is a very solid L2 full back, you can do a lot worse than him and a lot of our fans were surprised when we released him in the summer.

Interesting to a lawyer for certain. A lawyer like Nicola Palios. One of the clubs owners.

We are trying to bring in Alan McCormack that is exactly the type of signing we need a man in the middle of the park.
We remain under embargo until tax bill is paid so have to work with a squad of 23 atm we have 22 Akinola rumoured to be one coming in Ron has said in a statement tonight people will be leaving to make space for new signings luckily, with a lot of pros heading out the door the past year we just have to move on kids on small wages should be manageable

Liam Feeney joins on loan until the end of the season. Was Blackpool’s player of the season last year!

Liam Feeney confirmed on a season long loan from Blackpool. Most assists in league 1 last season so surprised to see him drop down a division. Looks like a great signing though.

Liked him when he was with us. Direct and likes to run at defenders. Past his best or he would not be playing lge 2 football. Will do a job for you this season

Tranmere absolutely going for it. Moving them to the top tier high risk reckless spending category.

What are you on about 'past his best', he was Blackpool's player of the season last year and had 14 assists, the most in League One, 3 more than Scott Fraser in second. Do you just try to comment on here to wind people up?

Do you actually like football? You don't seem to know much about it.

Why is that a i said i liked him at Bolton b i said he was past his best....he is 33 yes he had a great season with 17 assists, but he is dropping down to lge 2 WHY because nobody would take a chance on him in lge 1 or the championship. So do all those managers know nothing about football.

If he was 23 with 17 assists he would be moving from Blackpool to the Championship or the Premier lge
Hence why he is past his best

We had a player in 2016/2017 The postman Filipe Morais. He for me was our player of the season despite only coming in in the January transfer window. He got 4 assists in one match v Gillingham. Ten assists and two goals in March got him the lge 1 player of the month. He helped us get promotion in the may 13 assists and 2 goals in 19 games.
He was released that summer.....was the clubs clamouring to sign him no he want to Crawley where he done good but at his age will mean he will not climb up the leagues.

And he is a better player than Feeney
