Bromley would be an atrocious addition to the football league.

Chesterfield staying down would be funny though.
I take back wishing Wrexham well and offering my heartfelt congratulations on your good fortune.

Chuffed with how yesterday turned out at Walsall.

Douglas James-Taylor is raw. He should’ve got more time than Andy Williams last season but for some reason, didn’t, especially when Williams was past it. With enough game time there is a good league 2 player in him.

The stand out obviously being Danny Johnson. He just fitted right in at Walsall, something he seemingly struggled with at Mansfield. So many different rumours about what happened in January, but i am extremely surprised he’s ended up back at Walsall. I thought he would end up at Gillingham or Swindon.

A goalkeeper, RB, another CM (on loan until Earing is back from injury), a winger or two and possibly another striker and I don’t think we’re far off an outside chance of the play offs.

Are you talking about the number of points Mansfield have taken off of Sutton, or the amount of people out of 10 who know what a Mansfield Town are?
Of course people know where mansfield is, it’s 3 miles from sutton.

Ia that one of the tribute Suttons? Sutton is of such great cultural import that there are dozens of places in England named after it.

Can Mansfield match that?

I’m not surprised Danny Johnson is back at Walsall, I think it’s a good signing and he’ll do good for you but the reason he probably did not have the interest he expected is because if he’s not scoring goals he offers nothing else at all.

Wish him the best despite him being unprofessional at times and he’s a certain to score against us haha.

It doesn’t need to be named time after time to pretend it’s relevant.

Someone on our forum reckons we were after him, but if all he offers is goals we already have a better one than that in Charlie Austin. There’s a fine balance about transfer windows - somewhere between bollocks and utter bollocks..

How was austin in the end?

Never did pay much attention to that but obviously looked a great signing at the time

8 goals in 11 games (if Wiki is accurate) including 4 at Rochdale. Jody Morris wanted to utilise him as a pressing striker, if Flynn uses him as he did Johnson last season at Walsall he'll be amongst the leading marksmen.

Not sure why you thought he'd end up with us, as far as I know his name hasn't even been mentioned in regards to us in any rumour?

9 in 11. That’s when Morris decided to actually play him.

It seemed a battle of egos at times between them, obviously I've no idea but you could sense friction. I can see Austin getting 25+ next season, especially if Hutton continues to provide ammunition.

Don’t know why Hutton gets occasional pelters. He’s has the highest number of assists from a defender in the entire European leagues. OK, he’s a bit weak defensively but . . .

I actually like him and think he's a great asset. There seems to be some perspective that he wants away which I guess is why he gets stick. C'est la vie.

Our local journo, who is very rarely wrong, reporting that Gillingham are in pole position to sign Alfie May.

He really should be going to a top end L1/Championship team but money talks and it's close to home, so makes sense for him on a personal level. I'm just glad we won't have to play against him next season if he does go there.
