Colkett's injury history:

Joined in the summer of 2022. Missed the entire pre-season due to a calf injury. Then he in his 2nd game away at Grimsby in the league cup, he tore his hamstring and missed 2 1/2 months. He returned in November, played 3 games and in his 3rd start against Tranmere on New Years Day, he injured himself again. Came back in early February, injured again, missed another month. Came back in March and managed to stay mostly injury free from then until the end of the season, but that was mostly due to him only playing 4 times in that stretch.

Made just 5 starts.

This season, he got fit, played most of the pre-season, then in his final game against Barnsley, he injured his calf and didn't return for another month. He did have a stretch between September and early December where he was uninjured, but the manager didn't use him very much. But then, the reason for not picking him became clear when he came on against Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup. Played just 20-30 minutes of that game and did his hamstring yet again, missing all the Christmas period.

Totally unreliable and untrustworthy from a fitness point of view. Yes, he's been available in various stretches over the last 18 months, but whenever he's played, he's broken down within a few games. So of course the manager is not going to play him.

Very little chance he gives Notts County more than 60-70 minutes per match and almost no chance he gives them a run of games where he starts 4-5 times in a row.

As for the comparison to Jodi Jones, I always though that his issues were related to multiple ACL injuries. Those are freak occurences, not muscle weaknesses like Colkett has.
Seems fair. The Notts County Internet Police in their incessant desire for positivity come down like a ton of bricks on anyone who expresses doubts about new signings, but this seems like a very strange one. A favour to an agent?

Comparisons with Jodi Jones because of his injury record are ridiculous, people might as well say he’s like Grealish because he sometimes rolls his socks down.

Callum Kavanagh from Boro apparently. Another dog shit signing from Gent if it is him.
We had Callum with us last season and coughlin wanted him back this year! you will be surprised at how good he is at this level, more of a second striker than a main one.

On the face of it it's a strange one and any connection to JJ situation certainly seems a stretch.

But let's be right the incessantly positive Notts fans are hugely outnumbered by cynical pessimistic doom-mongers who impressively manage to find the negative in almost everything the club do. Overall it's been a really tough time from them this past year or so.

Pretty pleased with that, the majority of his career has been above this level and it’s a position we really needed. Good start to the day

Curtis Thompson potentually coming to us by the sounds of it. Any opinions Notts lot?
I rated him when he was here, but it feels like a long time ago now and the club was not a great place to be at the time. Also one of very few youngsters to break into the first team and that always skews your view of a player I think. Hope he does well at Grimsby

Macauley Bonne has left us for Cambridge, we must be signing a striker if Nichols to Mansfield happens as well

Been told we've freed up enough wages to bring in Charlie Kirk but he's got a few other offers.

Unless we get a striker in I can’t see us letting Nichols go as that would leave us with Hawkins, who is injured, Nadesaan who is shit and the loaner from Burton.

Someone who would know said Nichols is done.

We seem to be freeing up some large wages.

Lot of clubs going for it last day of the transfer window. Got to be Wrexham's to lose now after two huge signings.

Jack Marriott leaves a club on the brink of relegation and joins a club with a toe in league 1, no brainer. Good player and wish him well, be speaking with more of you shortly......

Lindsay will be a great signing foe Wrexham, he's tenacious, enthusiastic and a complete pest to the opposition.

Like most of our players he probably isn't quite championship standard but I would be more than happy if he stayed and signed a new contract because he is more than capable in League 1.

Word up here is he will go because Wrexham will pay him more and he want's to secure his families future, so good luck to him.

He owes us nothing, he has always played second fiddle since Rathbone signed, sometimes unfairly in my view, you'll be getting a very honest player.
I like the sound of that. We do need someone who can tackle better in midfield but it is nit-picking really. We are stacked full of quality in there.

It's definitely not a good twitter sauce. One of their latest rumours is Nakhi Wells to Gillingham. Cain is under contract until the end of next season and Gunning is a big fan. I doubt there is anything in this rumour.

Hearing now Cain to Newport might not be that far off the mark.

Lapslie too. Was told this morning that Gills wanted it to be permanent but I think it’s going to be a loan by the sounds of it. Maybe we said no to permanent and having some of his wages covered means you can get someone else in?

Did Laps only sign an 18 month contract when he signed or was it 2 1/2 years?

18 months I think, but I’m not 100%

Macauley Bonne to Cambridge on loan. I understand the huge counter offer Gills made to big titty Hutton means they have to balance the books a little bit to stay within the wage budget.

It’s actually left back Denver Hume, another one that looks a very good signing. Pompey bought him from Sunderland for 200k a couple of seasons ago and he’s played almost 100 games in League 1.

Sounds like his time at Pompey has been a nightmare but he looks more than good enough for this level.

I hope we haven't given the number 2 shirt to a left back.

Heard there's been a few enquiries for Eisa too but can't see us letting him go unless we sign a replacement.

As mentioned further up, Kirk is one of the other ones Davies mentioned so I'd imagine if we can get that deal done then it opens it up for Eisa to move on.
