Hmm got to think that Pelly is properly fucked if we are still looking at centre mids. Bit concerning he's still not made an appearance this summer.

Sounds like it was more of a "going to talk to John Still tomorrow" rather than anything concrete.

I really, really hope Pelly isn't permanently damaged. Such a prospect if he could stay fit. It definitely is worrying that he hasn't kicked a ball yet, although the consensus amongst ITK types seems to be that he has been training with the rest of the team. Praying that they are right and that we are just being very cautious rather than anything sinister.

Kieffer Moore playing for us tonight. Justin Hoyte featuring again

Simon Dia, a 6,3 centerfield forward also on the bench

Interesting that Kieffer is back in England. His trial with Viking in Stavanger obviously didn't go too well.

Personally I wish we'd kept him but he could be frustrating. Was played at CB as much as CF last season and was better in defence even though he doesn't want to play there. How did he do?

Didn't have much time, about twenty minutes. Don't think we are looking too much at him

CMS update from John Still:

Hatters have made an offer to the former Brighton and Peterborough man, with Still saying: “We’ve always looked at this week being the week where we decide, A: Do we want to make him an offer, and, B: Is he going to accept the offer?

“Talks have been really amicable if I’m honest and this week things will evolve on where we’re going.”

There was speculation last week that League One Southend United wanted to acquire Mackail-Smith’s services, with boss Phil Brown hoping he would play for the Shrimpers in a friendly.

Still confirmed there had been interest in the striker, but nothing to tempt him, saying: “Craig has spoken to other clubs and been very open with clubs who have asked.

“But there is nothing that has come along that he wants to do other than Luton at the moment.”

He sounds pretty confident of signing him there, previously he has been quick to play down our chances.

Basically that says "nobody else has offered him anything so he'll stay at luton because otherwise he'll be unemployed."

We've finally got rid of Johnny Ertl even if it did mean paying his last year off. Giving him a 3 year deal was criminal and I'd be very surprised if he plays league football again.

Nortei Nortey (honestly), Courtney Cameron and Omar Rowe played for a Luton XI that beat Kettering 2-1 last night. Calvin Zola expected to play for us tonight at Thurrock.

The first 3 were all scholars at PL clubs, could have something about them but know next to nothing of any of them. Don't really want Zola here.

He's not very good to be honest. Looked promising when he came through but didn't hit many heights. Better at centre back than he is at full back.

Looks like we won't be signing Jack Payne from Peterborough as we're not willing to match Peterboroughs Valuation of him.

Have to look to another midfield target now it seems.

Joe Devra did not get an offer of a contract after a trial at Crawley. No idea why. Wanted too much money or no good.

Forgot to add.

Right and left back and a keeper said to be joining Crawley on Saturday.

I'm intrigued by the keeper as he is said to be a top quality loanee...So probably uninspiring.

We had Joe Devera on trial last night, he any good Pompey/Barnet fans?

After a really poor first season with us he definitely improved last season, he got made to play RB on quite a few occasions and failed. At CB he's abit better but nowhere near as good as Swindon fans made him out to be when we signed him.

I'm not sure who you support from my phone Hamez so can't really tell you if he'd be any good for your team.

We wouldn't play Devera as right back anyway unless there was a sending off or injury as we already have Hunt and Marsden who can play there. After looking at his wiki it seems he was best at Swindon so there's a player there somewhere should we want to sign him. We already have Collins, Pearce and Tafazolli so he'd have to be good to force his way in anyway.

Apparently AJ Leitch-Smith chose to sign for Port Vale over us, obviously easy decision for him, but I still don't know whether to be happy or sad about that if i'm honest.

Lewis Montrose any good York fans?

Can hit a decent ball, can pass it a bit but doesn't use his (fairly big) physique nearly often enough. Wasn't really good enough for us when we were challenging at the top of league 2, but should be ok a bit lower.

Cheers for that. Sounds a decent signing for the pub league then.
