Not transfer rumours per say, but we've appointed a new technical advisor/ director of football, Andrea Pressenda who is a former Sky Italia journalist. Hendon also confirmed we made a concrete offer for Kevin Nolan in November time - I had heard a rumour we had at the time, it was also meant to be Andrea Dossena level of wages (lowish five figures a week)...

Five figure wages per week is ridiculous for this level, and needless.

Someone on our forum said we wanted to sign him, he's usually pretty reliable. Assume it'd be coaching if he's no use as a player now but I've not got much clue about whether he's done any badges etc.

Lulz at the thought of Lisbie moving up to Carlisle. He's got a massive, young family, and there is zero chance of him ending up anywhere outside the South East. Probably end up back at Orient if he doesn't retire.

We've got Antonio German on trial at the moment, who I don't know much about. Wouldn't mind seeing us take a punt on Yiadom as Barnet seem prepared to let him go.

Tom Nichols and David Wheeler have turned down offers for new contracts. Both are out of contract in the Summer.

Clubs will be lining up for Wheeler. Tom will have interested some as well.

Annoying but hardly unexpected given how shit we've been this year.

Vilhete and Yiadom transfer listed.

Yiadom is a cracking player but he rejected a contract and it runs out in June. We want something for him, otherwise he goes for nothing in the summer.

Allen just doesn't rate Vilhete. A real shame as I rate him.

Yiadom is in the top two right backs in the league imo. Would dig him. Would imagine there's strong interest from the league(s) above, weren't Barnsley keen?

How is German getting a contract at a FL club? He's utter dog shit, even for us in the conference

He's on trial, 6 goals and 3 assists in 9 matches whilst playing in India. No harm in sticking him on trial, doubt anything will come from it.

Better than Clohessy? Obviously only seen him the one time in our first match of the season at yours but he seemed dangerous then.

I'd be sad if Yids left but we're not going to keep him in the summer, let's get some money for him (or at the very least a tasty sell on fee) - put some aside for the summer and spend the rest now. We must not get relegated this season, this January recruitment is so important.

He's no Christian Ribeiro...Sadly he'll probably be off this summer unless we go on a great run and sneak in the Play offs.

Looks like Antonio Germain is going to sign for us.

And Hendon has not ruled out Lisbie coming back to us :conf:

He'd only be a squad player though, as much as we all love him here, he is virtually finished IMO.

God help you if German is signing. Things really aren't that bad are they?
The thing with German is that he looks the part. He is strong, athletic and quick.
Unfortunately he is just really, really bad at football.
I would have to say that he would have to be one of the worst strikers I have seen at the Gills, and I have seen some utter shite.

Blair Adams will be returning to us on the 19th once his loan is up. I heard the plan was to offload him and get Sheehan but Sheehan's got offers in League 1 and the new man Fullarton wants to have a look at Adams.

Oxford are apparently signing WBA midfielder Samir Nabi (not sure if loan or permanent). We were after him.

Sounds like the Rory Gaffney saga might be over and he's on his way to Bristol, hopefully for a hefty sum plus sell-on, but we'll have probably let him go for next to nothing I suspect.

Confirmed that Rory Gaffney has got his wish and signed for the Gas on a permanent basis from Cambridge.

Delighted with that. Looks a good player and in many ways was the final piece of the jigsaw in terms of how we play. The fact he has pushed for it to happen because he wants to be here is the most pleasing aspect for me - it shows there's a good atmosphere around the club at the moment.

The way he outed Derry as being a liar in his interview with the Irish press yesterday was the turning point I think. It basically underlined how poorly Cambridge have handled the whole situation. I'm sure there will be a fair few Cambridge fans who are gutted but will now pretend that they don't care!

Good signing, undisclosed fee so I think both clubs will be happy with that.

Onto Oxford!

Any U's fan who says they're not disappointed with this in the grand scheme of things is a liar, but ultimately with him looking like he was going to be such a disruption if he stayed then it will probably be considered the right thing to do, but it just endorses how the clubs have let the players have all the power these days. Goalscorers don't grow on trees and we've potentially lost one here, for probably not a significant amount of money, we should've been stronger from the outset but we've obviously been caught cold and made a misjudgement on the lad. We've handled this terribly but so have Rovers and so has Gaffney, no-one comes out of this well.

We can only hope that it turns out he's not actually very good and/or that his replacement is a bloody good one, but I fear as per usual he will bang them in for Rovers and whoever we sign will be absolute guff.

Imagine it will depend what Adams wants to do. Don't see why he wouldn't go and take a chance out County now Moinz has gone but he has said he'd like to stay here and obviously Murray is keen. If he does stick with Notts though, Thankfully Benning is back in full training and will hopefully be back at the end of the month. Collins can play Left back so he may have to fill in Vs Luton.

Adams is well liked in the dressing room at Notts so I imagine he could well stay. We all said it was bizarre he wasn't getting more games at Notts so I expect he will be more of a permanent fixture in the team again. It was mistakes he made against mansfield when he wasn't fully fit that Moniz never really forgave him for.

I assume we'll bring in a couple of centre backs during the window. Sprockel is a calamity and Edwards is just, not good enough for this level consistently.

Chris Hackett signs for Barnet on loan until the end of the season.

Play him as an out and out winger and you've got yourself a good signing. Imagine Akinde would enjoy his crossing ability.

Aaron McClean has left.

I think if we lose him and Yiadom I might cry a little inside.

Yeah!! we have a right midfielder.
However Aaron McLean has left.
Have also signed Mark Randall from MK dons.

Akinde is lousy at converting crosses.

Unless we have a forward lined up, McLean leaving makes the decision to release Lisbie even stranger. We are down to Akinde and Gash now as first team strikers.

Randall hasn't lived up to the ability he showed as a youngster at Arsenal. Hackett looks a decent signing though.

Hackett was arguably our best player in our Wembley final season. You know what you will get from him, he gets the ball, does a single stepover, gets to the byline and puts in a good cross most times. Dont expect him to come inside and get involved though as hes not really about that but very effective at what he does.

He's our player, would imagine it depends more on whether we want to keep him or not. Which we almost certainly will now Moniz has gone.

Unless he says he wants to leave then I'm sure he would be allowed to providing we can come to an agreement, But if you can give him first team football then I imagine he will stay.

I like Clohessy, but I would take Yiadom every single time without hesitation.
