No Gav Gunning tho.
He's only gone and retired. Obviously Grimsby was a bridge too far for Jermaine. Godspeed sweet prince.I'm honestly not. I've got a mate who organises stuff with the supporters club/ club. Charidee matches, legends matches ( that sort of shit) seemed adamant that Jermaine was off to Grimsby.
Diallang Jaiyesimi joins on season long loan from Norwich.
Approx £350 grand to us from Brentford if Andre gray joins Twatford as reported....
Oh dear, that is genuinely embarrasing. Not quite on par with getting Stormzy and Lukaku mixed up, but still not good.
Sweet said: “We have received offers from clubs for his registration but no offers have been accepted and no offers are likely to be accepted."
This has all the hallmarks of an August 31st 23:59 deal. Mind you, you're not exactly up shit creek without him.Luton CEO Gary Sweet says they do not expect to accept any offer for Isaac Vassell this transfer window:

Sounds like the only way he leaves is if Vassell starts kicking up a fuss.

I've just spontaneously combustedSaw that but not sure it is accurate, Gary Sweet stated unequivocally that our financial stake in Andre was done after Burnley stayed up and that was when he was being linked with Spurs etc so the question was being asked in the context of a possible transfer.
Not gonna lie I'm going to be pretty heartbroken if/when that deal is confirmed
Was going to say, I'm not sure how you'd expect to have a % of a % sell-on from someone who's joined Watford via Brentford and Burnley!Saw that but not sure it is accurate, Gary Sweet stated unequivocally that our financial stake in Andre was done after Burnley stayed up and that was when he was being linked with Spurs etc so the question was being asked in the context of a possible transfer.

Yeah I'd take 'add-ons' to mean if Brentford's fee when they sold him included add-ons for things like appearances, not a future sell-on clause Brentford may benefit from, which isn't part of what you would call the 'fee' they recieved from Burnley. It would be to stop Luton getting shafted if Brentford were to get several million for him but only a couple hundred thousand paid up front. The logic behind that thinking comes from our clause being based off a % of the total value that Brentford receive for Gray - so Brentford were also on the hook to give us a % of any add ons they received for him as well as the % of the transfer fee they got from Burnley. Hence why we got money for Burnley getting promoted and then for them staying up. So basically any money Brentford got for Gray we were taking a chunk of too.
I'm not sure given that why we aren't seeing some money from this move, id assume it's because Brentford had a clause saying that any fee they got from Grays next sale wouldn't be included in our agreement. Gary Sweet has confirmed we aren't getting any money from it as well. Overall we've done pretty well out of that transfer and if any of the others we have had like that are structure similarly then we could have decent sums of money rolling in from them for a few years.
We are after a striker and a midfielder, one apperantly could be a club record transfer fee.
Not actually sure the most we have paid for a player, probably 150k back in the mid-late 90s.
Evans was intimating in his interview that it was someone that'd played against his clubs before, sort of rules out Bogle.I bet you're trying to get Bogle.
I think it was Lee Peacock from Carlisle I think Larkin also was similar but fell short because add ons was not metWe are after a striker and a midfielder, one apperantly could be a club record transfer fee.

I wonder for how long and at what percentage money is cascading back down to previous teams who had shrewd agents negotiating a sell on share of the transfer monies for previous players..... I wonder if there is a stand named after gray at Hinckley yet??
