I am sick of signing players not deemed good enough to be offered a deal at Macc
It smacks of fucking lazyness and is pissing me right off
It might not be that they weren’t deemed good enough for Macc it might just be that they couldn’t afford to offer them a deal maybe?

The lad we’ve signed was under contract I think but it was invalid because he hasn’t been paid for months?

True enough
Though a few had little game time at Macc.
Hopefully we have no injuries and suspensions

Maybe they're just not intelligent enough to understand Sol Campbell's intricate tactics. I'd say you need at least some sort of foundation degree to understand a game plan set by the most intelligent man in football.

All of the players Askey has signed who he has previously worked with are squad players. None of them will be in our starting eleven do it's just the case of filling the squad with reliable, affordable backups who aren't going to kick up a huge fuss about not starting every week.

As we've previously discussed, Askey was horrified by what some players were getting away with last season and has bought in players who he trusts to be professional.

We need a back up Keeper and we need to ship out Whitfield and use his wage on an attacking midfielder. Then we're set.

Byron Moore will be confirmed tomorrow. Out in Spain with the rest of the squad.

Heavily linked with Danny Hylton.

Mmmm. Nice!

Hylton rumours have gone a bit quiet of late. Hes been linked with MK, Northamption and yourselves at various points.

Hes not been involved in the last few pre season games because of a knee injury - or thats the reason that has been published anyway. Would be a good signing but the sins of his previous life are catching up with him a touch and he keeps getting little injuries like that here and there. Probably had one too many battles with centre halves for his own good at this point!

I had a browse on your forum and there is someone advocating on there that you sign him because he is a big strong target man. Which he really isnt - much better with the ball at his feet and taking on players in the channels. He is a weird mix of playmaker, goal scorer with a nose for the ball in the box. Not seen too many like him - but I wouldnt describe him as a target man really. Hes done his best work in sides who play a bit, with players who can pick up on his clever movement.

Well, whoever it is they’re being signed this week.

Probably end up with some old pony.

Salford splashing the cash again, they're after Rotherham's Kyle Vassell.

Alas injuries and suspensions mean some of those players will play 20 plus games.
As per Vassell last season, so are they in effect any better than Vassell or Kay.
To me only Cullen and Amoo are an improvement, the rest are rather pointless replacements for the tosh we got rid of

Maybe I'm too harsh and I appreciate Scumthwaite raped the club but I don't want to turn up next week hoping that we can manage 15th place

A lad who posts on our fans forum (he has got every rumour over the summer correct so far) reckons we are in for Zach Clough at Forest. If he can recreate his form from a couple years ago, he’d be a very good signing.

Crawley's local paper reports that Dominic Poleon has gone AWOL.

He hasn't featured in any of the pre season friendlies and doesn't appear in the published training photos. I presumed he was on trial somewhere with a view to a move. If true, it makes you wonder what goes on in his head. He will hardly get a better deal here on anywhere else if he gets a reputation for throwing his toys out of the pram.

Any Bradford fans want him back?

Looks like we’re about to announce the departure of Jonathan Forte.

He’s got a chronic knee problem that has prevented him from training since about March and Taylor says it’s not something than can be fixed via an operation. I think it’s a similar thing to what Ledley King had....

It’s a shame for him but he needs to look after his health first and foremost and I’m assuming he will retire.

Callum Lang on the radar, apparently.
He's class, honestly I thought Wigan would keep him to bring on late in games and start in cups, or loan him out to League One. If it's even a possibility we should be banging Wigan's door down to bring him back here.

Another of last season's loanees, Jordan Lyden, was spotted at Saturday's friendly. Top player, but injury prone.

And journalist Alan Nixon says we're in talks with David Wheater, but that seems pie-in-the-sky to me.

Look North is the local news, which should cover everyone around here yet spend 99% of the time focusing on Hull.

They'll even throw something in on Peterborough from time to time just to be a bit left field.

Peterborough and Hull part of a single local BBC region? Well now I've heard it all. They should rename it Look East to avoid confusion.

Eddie Clarke has signed on a season long loan from Fleetwood. Formerly of Tranmere- whats he like?

Seems a good signing based on how Tranmere fans used to talk about him. Probably means Campbell wants to continue with 5 at the back with wing backs, and that Fitz (who Sol hasn't got on with) may well be on his way out too sadly.

You must have a different Look North to Yorkshire, as it's mostly Leeds, Sheffield and a bit of Bradford thrown in. Peterborough has never been on.

If you’re not shocked that Harry Gration is having another baby, you have a different Look North to us.

Weird that there seems to be three Look North's throughout the country. It causes confusion.

My proposal is therefore to rename Yorkshire's Look North to 'Look North (South)' and Lincolnshire's to 'Look East (West)'

Oddly we have York City in ours.
