2 nil up at Swindon at half time...didn't see that coming.

We're playing superbly on the break...Goals from Alex Nicholls and David Wheeler.

We're winning 2-1 at Huddersfield, Liam Noble with both - the second apparently a goal of the season contender. So fucking happy for him.

Swerts sent off for a harsh second yellow. Really, really not what we needed ahead of Friday.

2-1 win for us against a strong swindon lineup. Had to hang on bit it sounded like we put everything into the performance tonight.

Only our second League Cup win in 17 years!! I'd love a great home draw in round 2.

Sold 500 for Rotherham tomorrow but can pay on the day so I should think we'll have 700 on the night. I fancy an upset. 3/1 is generous odds as well considering their result at the weekend.
408 U's there. Where on earth did you get your figures from?!

Beat Bristol City 3-1, couldn't make it tonight but sounds like Marriott has built on some of the promise he has already shown and scored 2.

Also Pelly played the whole game which is great news

Huddersfield fans waxing lyrical about the Moniz total football bandwagon tonight, sounding good.

Mind you, "still not good enough" says the crazy Dutchman.

Pools have a good chance of causing an upset if anyone has 50p for a daft one .... subsidised coaches for the fans too just a fiver
In future ....... you should all listen to my great wisdom ........ Billy Paynter scored again , that's 2 in 2 , what was it the Carlisle fans were saying about him?

What a shit competition.

York v Bradford picked up in the second half. Absolute joke of a penalty for York though. Left at FT so have no idea how it finished.

Some big upsets around tonight!

Pleased with our performance, far better than Saturday. Although if we had taken chances we could have joined the upsets list.

Marriott was fucking excellent, two brilliant goals and his all round play very good. He looks a serious prospect to me. Absolutely has to start on Saturday now.

Pelly put in the most typically Pelly performance you could possibly imagine. A few moments of utter brilliance, including an outstanding assist for Benson's goal. Mixed in with plenty of moments of wondering how he is a pro footballer, five yard passes going astray including one for their goal.

Lots of positives tonight overall. The back three were all outstanding, Tyler showed why he is still undisputed number one. Benson looked more of a goal threat then he has in the last 12 months, and McGeehan played as well as he has since he has been back at the club. One man stole the show though. Going to stick me neck out and say that Marriott will be our top scorer this season and undroppable by about October.

Wow, had a good game then?! Said he'd score goals at this level!!

We dicked Blackpool 3-0. It was really easy, 3 up after half an hour. Another clean sheet and some really lovely attacking football. Villa away next round please!

You could say that!! No doubt I am getting a bit carried away on the back of a great performance, but sometimes you just get that good feeling about a young player. He changed the game when he came on against Accrington too. I definitely think he will score more than Cullen did for us last season as he looks to be a lot quicker and stronger, and based on tonight he can self-create which is Cullen's major shortfall. If I was Josh McQuoid I'd be very worried about my first team place tonight at any rate!

What a great night. We didn't really get in the game for the first 20-30 minutes - Bristol City were very comfortable on the ball and created a few chances; Mark Tyler wasn't flying round his area however. Gradually we got in the game, but Luton's first was against the run of play. Great play down the left wing, super football.

Two goals in quick succession in the second half - Pelly Ruddock's fantastic through ball setup Paul Benson and then Jack Marriott left Aden Flint on his arse.

Bristol City were so wasteful however - Kodija missed a couple of guilt edge chances before being subbed. His replacement Agard also missing the target on a number of occasions.

Bollocks of a competition. Told you us and Daggers were only here to make up the numbers.

Between us...
Played 14
Lost 14. One year we didn't even make the 1st round.

Beat that Daggers.

Can we just opt out of this next season (assuming we haven't been relegated).

It's pointless, and we always get drawn away.

Bah

Fantastic game.

We started very slow and Chesterfield were all over us, but after 10 minutes, we found our feet and were on top. End-to-end game, could've been 3-3 at HT.

Jabo Ibhere was brilliant when he came on, and scored 2 good goals. We were looking very tired towards the end of normal time, and Chesterfield took advantage.

Luckily for us, they got a man sent off 10 seconds into ET, and we controlled it from then on and rightly got 2 goals.

Enjoyable game, some good performances; especially Ibehre, McQueen, Hery and Balanta.
Hopefully we get a good draw.

Glasshalffullpools:
Couldn't give a fuck about Big Billy, Jabo is 10x the player he is.
