So, how are you viewing your respective games this week? Happy because it means you can try and recover from a loss, build on a draw or get 2 wins from 2 after a victory yesterday? Or is it a distraction and a game you wouldn't care about losing?

Some teams have got very winnable games, others have got formidable opposition. Port Vale and Oldham have the toughest games on paper, Bradford have arguably the easiest.

Pressure is on for Bradford, Posh, Sheff U and Wigan to get good results in these games after a poor opening day for all 4 teams. I'd be surprised if more than 12 got through from L1. So, looking forward to this competition anyone?

Plymouth away is an absolute cockwomble of a draw. Confidence will be high after yesterday and we should see a few changes in personnel. Should be able to win but wouldn't be surprised (or that bothered) if we went out.

I really don't care about this.

Armstrong won't play as Newcastle don't want him cup-tied (even though they'll go out in the second round) so Tudgay will come in for him. I hope we choose to rest Reda Johnson and Vincelot to keep them fresh for Millwall. Away to Rochdale is a terrible draw and I'm not going even off the back of how well we did.

Team:

Burge

Phillips Ricketts Martin Haynes

Morris Fleck

JOB Maddison Lameiras

Tudgay

1-0 loss

Hopefully go out there and put in a good ninety minute performance. Hoping Anderson and Marshall feature with Liddle coming back also. 3-1 Bratfud.

Rochdale are a tidy team and coupled with the fact this won't be a priority for Mowbray and players will be rested I won't be surprised to see a Rochdale win.

Bench: Marosi, Jones, Wellens, Chaplow, Keegan, Main, Mandeville

I'm not all that fussed about the result but think we might nick it.

I'd like us to change the shape, but it won't happen. I want to see us go 4-4-1-1. Start Cooper over King and have him in behind LDV upfront, take out Haber for Colclough and go with 2 wingers and a number 10. Give Bingham and Fox some room to breath in the middle, get a bit of width in the team as well. Hopefully we'll also have a LB signed and he can step in for Guthrie.

Did you leave at half time and go to the pub?

No i thought id give them a chance with it being the 1st game. I left as soon as the 3rd goal went in. Cracking day out actually apart from the match

Toughy but a good test, not overly fussed if we go out but would love an upset. 1-3

Touchy for us. A decent performance would do me, not expecting much more. We had a good run in this last year anyway. Someone else's turn now ...

Meh, we normally go out in the first round. Second round if we're lucky.
Wigan will want to bounce back too.

Not expecting much

Very tough game for us away to Florist, going to be interesting to see their 433 with Antonio against our 352, on paper that could be a disaster. It will be interesting to see how Deano tries to respond or counteract this.

Just after a competitive and promising performance, and if we lose just make sure it's not a hammering.

A 500+ mile round trip on a Tuesday night for a first round game, aren't we the lucky ones?

A decent performance hopefully from the Alex, the result is not all that inmportant so long as we don't gt walloped, maybe give young Saunders a run out and also a chance for some of the new boys to get more game time.

We will get pumped 5-0, probably with Forests reserves playing and Paterson scoring the goals.

Bolton away. We will either win 2 0 or lose 5 0. Can't say I'm arsed either way although I am going with prob about 500 others.

Meh - Rochdale away. Not too sure, cup runs are great but we've got a small squad. Would love an away game at an old traditional ground though like Goodison Park.

York away - sold out!

Need to continue our cup form to subsidise our cheap tickets. Only way we'll make a profit for the 7th season running.

Not arsed, league and FA Cup are priority for us this season, a win on Wednesday is a bonus.

I don't get that. Yes, the FA Cup can be far more financially benifitial, but at this point last season we beat Morecambe and drew Leeds at home in the 2nd round. That was worth at least £300k to the club. Never overlook any cup competition IMO. We reaped in excess of circa £4m in the last three seasons.

First of three trips this season to Scunthorpe tonight. God hates us.

I'll be watching SSN with a few cans I reckon.
