Except it's an 120 mile round longer journey. Shocking away day, in the worst away end in the league. Absolutely zero reasons to go, unless you're completely off your rocker.

Bury next, 2,700 sold - that's more like it.
Don't sell any more-you'll outnumber them.

They actually will. Ludicrous decision to make the game all-ticket. Plus we're wank at the moment so yeah.

Be lucky to get 2,000 home fans on, atmosphere around the club is terrible. We are wank and the club making it all ticket has wiped 1,000 off the gate straight away.

I hate Bury sometimes

We asked for 5,000 tickets, they wouldn't give us them - thus' causing panic with Lancashire police hence the 2,750 allocation. Demand is/was there, (however, in hindsight, sales have slowed right down due to current form). Why they just didn't give us the South and East stand, I don't know. Bury get their beloved main and MRE, and we're essentially all in one stand...as it wraps right around. But instead, they've made it all ticket, limited the allocation and split away fans I two stands (East and Main stand).

It doesn't make much sense TBH.

It would be stupid to give you 5k and pretty much give up home advantage. The police would never allow that amount anymore anyway.

You reckon the demand is there for 5,000 when you managed under 2,000 to Rochdale and Oldham for league games?

Well, someone on the Bury messageboard rang the club for ticket info for the Bradford match and was told we have sold "a lot less" than a thousand tickets.

 gonna end up with about 700 home fans on, and it's all they deserve

We probably will just. We have quite a few northern exiles - the only time I remember us being sub-100 for a league game was when there were 78 of us at Hartlepool on a tuesday in January during the season we failed to win an away game. We drew 1-1, making it one of the better trips of the year!

If ever one post summed up just how completely mental us lower league fans are, that is probably it!

Worst thing was we'd been away at Accrington the tuesday before and lost 1-0 in the cup - Christ knows why I decided to do both trips!

Think that might be on the money from our point of view. the fact it's on TV will obviously lessen the numbers too but we did manage about 500 at Coventry on a friday night last season when that was on the telly as well so who knows?!

Totally agree.
The layout of Gigg means they can easily extend the away accomodation right round the corner and all the way down the side if necessary.
And that's what should have happened.
And without making it all-ticket.

we made our cup match against Bury all-ticket and the ground was half empty! We sold about 2500 which is normally what we get for a league game, we could have easily shifted over 1000 more if it was pay on the day

Again no need to make that game all-ticket.

If Gillingham break 100 tomorrow I would be surprised to be fair. What a stupid night for football and what a stupid game to make them travel that distance.
My prediction - A crowd of 7816 with 94 Gillingham fans. Im going all out so score - 1-1
