Yes it will do , the hype train is in full flow

The way people are coming out of their hiding, I think we could sell out almost every away game till the end of the season.

We're one of only a handful of teams in the league that give a decent away allocation, especially on the odd occasion we get a big club turn up. Having the facility to accommodate 4,500 away fans has it's benefits.

I would imagine our trip to your place will be a big day out for many, we really should be selling it out.

Although, the other year we sold the majority of the end and it was only about 3800?

Sold around 1,300 for the Bradford game now, not bad selling 700 in a day.. With it being basically pay on the day now we should be looking at a decent attendance

Damn right you should...it's the 3rd round of the FA Cup!
You were scheduled to play us infact.A trip made all the more attractive if one jumps off the tram at Heaton Park and ambles up to Sandy's for some pre-match relaxation and pampering.

Now pay on the day. Bradford given both ends behind the goals, we have both ends along the side of the pitch. So about 3,500 Bradford allocation. Will be 6,500 minimum.

Both ends behind the goals is rare, I can't remember that ever happening since I have watched football!?

We filled both ends at Bury in 1999, taking 4,000 strangely enough.

2,200 sold in the Cemmy End, and just under 700 City have been transferred to the MRE. I reckon around 300-400 will POTD, meaning we should have around 3,200 there.

Decent.

By good beers, I assume you mean real ale? If so then Wigan's one of the best away days in the football league, as there's probably more real ale pubs than houses. With multiple breweries based in Wigan, 5+ I think with them all running at least 1 pub.

For eating there's a lot of fine dining places in the town centre itself, which probably won't be appropriate for your needs, with the good pub grub type places spread out across the borough and more of a need to drive too.

Little Fifteens does food and real ale
The Raven does food and real ale

Wigan Central - Under the arches by the railway station, quite handy afterwards if you'e waiting for a train as it has a live board of departures on screen.
The Anvil
John Bull Chophouse
The Berkeley
Moon Under Water (Wetherspoon so cheap beer and food)

These are ones I've been quite often and are good and all close by to the station.
There's loads more on that link that are in the town centre but I've never been in them.

I don't see what the fuss is about giving Bradford both ends, the MRE is only going to have 1,000 in so will be less than half full, we are giving them one and a half stands effectively.

Hardly anyone sits in the MRE anyway it's the worst stand so no atmosphere has been lost. 4,000+ home fans crammed into the main and south stand and then Bradford behind the goals, should be a good atmosphere.

But the Manny Road is your traditional kop, right? Where Bury bovver boys have stood and defended the name of your club for decades.
Absolutely disgraceful,this.
When Hull gave Bradford their popular end a few years back there was, hardly surprisingly,a fuckin' riot.
Similar planned for Sat?

I concentrate enough on my club but am also interested in football generally. You Bury fans need to act over this disgraceful decision by your board.

Somehow I don't think Bury will be as tasty.

When 6,000 West Yorkshire folk took Hulls Kop;

I could see it being a pretty heated atmosphere due to both sets of fans being so close to each other.

And we won't be outnumbered either, so again I don't see how we've thrown home advantage

You need to do more research then. The MRE has been a shithole since it got redeveloped 20 years ago. It's either been the away stand or 1 man and his dog have sat in there since it was made for the home fans. It needs knocking down and starting again.

I don't get how giving another team a side behind the goal is tinpot, we get more money, and it's pay on the day now so everyone's a winner. Should be a great atmosphere
