Outnumbered us by 16. Well done.

Pretty much a complete 50/50 split

Im sure if Crewe offered 3500 to away fans you would be outnumbered a few times aswel.
Unlikely,as we can usually count on atleast 3,500 home fans turning up even if we're bottom of the league and playing shit.

Good away following from Bradford ... hopefully a good draw on Monday should bring about a good crowd for the replay. Not really bothered RE result now ... if we win great round 4, lose and we have a home game with Sheff Utd ... happy days.

You might get more than 3500 fans in a league game but in fa cup the home crowd always drops a bit whichever club you are unless your in a derby or draw a big premier league team.

Not really, still out sung them by all accounts

The atmosphere was absolutely shite too, so don't kid yourself. Every now and then, our lot in the Cemmy End piped up, of which was only mainly those in the corner, and they were still louder than yours in the south - and that's being judged my me in the MRE - where the bulk of the noise came through.

Best moment of the game was confrontations with your fans in the main stand and watching out lots scrap with your stewards.

Good god, it's boring being a City fan atm.

I'll add one more thing, our home support is miles better than our away, strangely enough.

Yeh,I take that point.
Look,I'm not having a dig-I quite like Bury as a club.
I just think, given your history, you really should be getting a lot more locals turning up at Gigg Lane.

No matter how you try and justify it,the fact that BOTH ends were given to the visitors is very, very bad.
Shame on your board for allowing it and you fans need to take a long hard look at yourselves and ask why much more wasn't done by yourselves in protest/direct action.

To be fair, Crewe give away an end and a side. Now I'm not mathematician, but last time I checked then the side stand of a pitch was generally longer than the end ones.

Do you protest when you give away an end and a side?

That's different.
I don't particularly like the arrangement at GR but there's not much else we can do given the layout of the ground but it's better than handing both ends over.
That's an absolute no-no.Should never be an option.

That Chezzy following is deplorable an hours run away on the back of a 6-0 win or whatever it was under new management.

on the flip side, you shouldn't really give both ends to the home fans either. You want all the singers to be in one location rather than split between two, as we do. Hence why our atmosphere is so shite.

On the contrary, having both ends for home fans is great,if you have the space to comfortably accomodate the visitors on a side.

This Crewe troll is funny. Giving Bury grief, when his club gave away fans their "pop" side. Traditionally their most popular stand in the ground. "Direct action"? what sort of direct action have Crewe's schoolboy army, ever taken?

I will admit we wete outnumbered at home once.
It was way back in 1981-82 when Sheff Utd visited for a 4th div fixture.
We were bottom and gates had dropped to 1,300 whilst they were closing in on the title.
The gate was 6,716 of which they must've accounted for 4,500 to 5,000,I'd imagine (I wasn't there that day).
A couple of weeks later they took about 9,000 up to Darlo (gate:11,000 plus).

It was the 'pop' side...before the magnificent new main stand was built.
As for the CYC...well their activities are often covert.

In fairness to FP giving the away team both ends behind the goals is terrible, no matter how little home fans use one of them. One of the most spine-tingling atmospheres in football arises when the home team is being roared on by their fans behind the goal they're attacking.

That definitely didn't happen, your home support was terrible, the occasional 'town full of isis' and 'come on bury' chants were not sufficient to out sing our poor away support yesterday.

Away from England you mean? There's no such thing as spine tingling atmosphere at any ground over here for at least a decade.
