Anyone would think we lived in a large country reading some of these comments.

It's just a fact that a game 4 hours away will attract less fans than a game 1 hour away. It's the same for every club in this league, and the reason even a big club like Sheff Utd will bring 700 to Ashton Gate compared to 3k at Notts County just a few days later.

Our last 8 away games are....

Oldham - circa 3,000 usually
MK Dons - probably about 7-800
Barnsley - Gentry day so probably 2,000+
Fleetwood - 1,400 sell out (I think that's the capacity?)
Bradford - Easter Monday so possibly 1,500+
Port Vale - Friday night in mid April, could be a big one... 2000+ hopefully
Notts County - still waiting for a date but it'll be a Tuesday so probably 800ish
Colchester - last day of the season, depends on if we have anything to play for. If we can still go up, we will sell out whatever the allocation is, if we don't, probably about 1,000

Probably not far off, give or take a few hundred here and there.

I think 1,500 to Bradford is a low estimate for Easter Monday though.

I think i'll be going to 90% of these games, i've not got to many away games lately but I should be able to make most of these.

I reckon we will end up with an average of just under 1,200 by the end of the season.

More likely that it'll cost £90 quid plus on the train to Bristol City whereas it's £12 to Notts.

Exactly, you've just backed up my point. Games further away cost significantly more. You wouldn't be getting £12 to Notts if it was 3 hours away

I'd expect our average to be around where it is now come May, which wouldn't be too bad considering the clusterfuck of a season we've had. We'll take 300-400 to Gillingham, Colchester, Orient (Tues) and Bristol City, but still have Oldham, Scunny, Notts (Tues) and Bradford where we'll take four figures in varying amounts. We are one of the better places to be geographically in this division so if we drop below 1000 before the season ends I'd be disappointed.

I'm planning on getting to all of them tbh! The only one I might miss is County depending on when it is rearranged for.

Until a team other than little Yeovil sell our tiny away allocation of 1,100, we have every right to point out the length of our trips.

We almost certainly will on April 6th. In fact, I'm starting to fear that I won't get a ticket for it, such is the interest in the game this season.

Your tiny away allocation of 1100 it would be interesting to know how many times youve took over 1100 away in your last 2 seasons in this league bearing in mind this season your average is way above normal too due to league position

Our remaining away games might boost ours a little. We will take at least 1,000 to Coventry, and possibly close to a 1,000 to Walsall and Swindon Town. Although Oldham Athletic and Fleetwood Town away on Tuesday nights won't help. Probably finish with an average of around 500 which though abysmal, is nearly 200 more than we had last season. Also at least we haven't dipped below 100 yet this season!

What's the latest with '2K2COV'.

I noticed you weren't happy about that idea on your forum..

Surprised Gillingham's average away attendance is lower than ours...
I agree though to be fair you have been in top two or three all season whilst we have been in the bottom four for a large part of the season.
I could also mention location, but I daren't;).

Our longest trip is Yeovil at 250 miles. Shortest is Doncaster at 20.2 miles.

Average over the 23 games is 107.1 miles with a total of 2464.3 over the season.

Also, this is more fun than work so I'm going to do all the clubs.

It'd be interesting to do the google map travelling times ground to ground as well as the mileages please. Can't imagine we don't end up having the easiest time of it :)

Not what i asked is it theres not many clubs in this league that take over 1100 anywhere. At the start of the season theres only swindon and maybe yeovil that i would have down as taking that many to bristol. I would guess you probably didnt do it on more than maybe 3 or 4 occasions yourselves last season

The answer is 7. When we were bottom of the league most of the while.
But you are backing my point that our away followings are skewed downwards by the Northernness of the league.

So less than a 1/3 of games and your one of the biggest clubs in it

You could argue your average is bolstered by your two out of the ordinary followings to Coventry and MK could you not.

Infact completely unfair on us as we had to play cov at northampton so only got 900 tickets thats cost us an extra thousand at least to our total

Its on bbcsport it doesnt surprise me really german support is phenominal imagine them moaning about having to travel 3 hours for a game. Dortmund took a steady 20k to hertha berlin for a standard league game a couple of months back. Im going over next week for there derby game against shalke should be a cracking weekend away
