Went to West Ham a few years back when they were in the Championship. Proper football ground set in proper London.

Olympic stadium looks awful.

The new Spurs ground looks decent, though...

I think they plan to be playing at the Olympic Stadium by 2016-17.

Villa Park is good but I went there on a Tuesday night when it was pissing it down and we lost 5-0....it was only 3/4 full too.

Been loads, I like Goodison as well, I also rate White Hart Lane.

I really like Goodison, first time I went though I was in the home end and had to sit on my hands while worrying about falling to my death in the top tier of the Goodison Road end. Proper footy stadium though in a pretty sketchy area.

Never been to White Hart Lane but it looks a good one.

I always though of Millwall's new ground as a traditional football ground, until I went there..

Was just 4 bang average, double tiered stands, and not to mention it wasn't even half full -bloody awful!

They create some noise though.

I used to go there mainly for the chicken curry and chips they sold on the away end, best football ground snap I've had by some distance. Generally a good atmosphere there too, plus you have the amusing sideshow of the mongs stood to the away ends left who spend all game making throat slitting gestures and the like.

Ours is pretty shit but I suppose we've got most of our main away days still to come and most of the southern ones out of the way.

Still got our 2 most (only!) local games to come so that figure will go up.

Northern tosspot of a league.

I personally reckon they should bring back the old 3rd division North/South, will stop southerners whinging about their low away followings.

Not whinging, just when there's clubs with 6/7 opponents within an hours travel lording it over their attendances, but then bring a fraction of that to ours then the crowing gets a bit boring. I wish we had more local games sure, but our away attendances aren't that bad considering how many more thousands of miles we have to cover to get them per season than most.

I remember there being an average away following/distance travelled for the conference one last year, would be interesting to see how it worked out for League One.

You can get fucked if you think i'm compiling that!

You are whinging though, and either you or a fellow Gill has on here on several occasions recently, I get that it's a ballache for some clubs, imagine being Carlisle or Plymouth but it's the nature of Football, I personally think your gates are steady both at home and away.

Looking at the list i've posted there are a few under 'par' I'd label Preston, Doncaster, Swindon, Posh, MK and Vale in that category, several decent including Bristol City, Chesterfield, Sheffield United and Coventry and the rest as expected.

Our last 8 away games are....

Oldham - circa 3,000 usually
MK Dons - probably about 7-800
Barnsley - Gentry day so probably 2,000+
Fleetwood - 1,400 sell out (I think that's the capacity?)
Bradford - Easter Monday so possibly 1,500+
Port Vale - Friday night in mid April, could be a big one... 2000+ hopefully
Notts County - still waiting for a date but it'll be a Tuesday so probably 800ish
Colchester - last day of the season, depends on if we have anything to play for. If we can still go up, we will sell out whatever the allocation is, if we don't, probably about 1,000

Perks of being up north that. Only close game we have left is Yeovil. Other away games (in no order) are; Colchester, Crawley, Doncaster (Tuesday night), Preston, Chesterfield, Bradford (Tuesday night), Orient (Tuesday night) and Oldham. Wouldnt be surprised if your average was above ours come the end

To be fair we've said that all season, but we keep on taking a lot.. Probably boosted by the fact that to our closer games, we've taken loads (MK, Cov) those 2 games are the main reason our averages are as high as they are
