Aren't a lot of MK's fans young kids?

Makes sense if they can't afford to get to these away games.

Unlike their away support which still baffles me slightly.

Coventry isn't far from Milton Keynes and therefore you'd have thought that they would bring at least 20% of their 9000 odd home crowd up the road next week, but that seems unlikely.

Not to knock MK, just yet to understand why they haven't developed a larger away following over the years.

So you think we should take 1,800? I reckon we can do that. Also yes we have the highest percentage of U21 supporters in the country

Okay guys, a message to everyone. Can we just wind it in a little bit please, healthy, good debate is absolutely fine but when it turns into a slanging match between grown men over the amount of away fans a random team in the same division takes to another ground on an internet forum of a weekend, it just becomes a bit too much. I'll clean this thread up shortly lads and lasses.

Yeah, it's not great.. Not a close game though I'd say it's about right to be honest.

Wouldn't it be embarrassing if we take more to Gateshead next week :0

Jose personally asked me to remove his account on 1FF, so I have obliged. Told him he can sign back up as his pleases, maybe a few weeks away will calm him down and he will come back. Without sounding like a whiny old fart. I've just spent 30 minutes of a Saturday night cleaning 7 pages of this thread.

I'm all for a laugh, a bit of banter, but if your going to take comments seriously, or give but not be able to take it, please just leave it out all together. This is a good thread, so please continue to use it in good spirits... (and FULL on piss taking out of tinpot MK Dons limpdick away support ;) )

PS - Cardsfan, Craig, Jemo - if you want to keep the averages going, then that would be great.

I think you've blanket deleted all of yesterday's messages so just to say I've taken over compiling the data and averages.

Edit: Just seen your new post, no problem

Let's face it, MK just haven't got the history or tradition to inspire good away support. They get good home support but their away support is a little embarrassing, and those 321 that did travel to Priestfield were very quiet. Around 470 Gills at Yeovil today which is a good 3 hour trip. It would be interesting if there was a table showing the percentage away support to average home attendance. Ours today would have been around 8-9%. Anyone clever enough to work it out?

I like comparing this. I think it proves how good people's away support is. That following is good. Going by percentages I think Carlisle have brilliant support... Down in the conference we average 6,500 at home and 800 away so I guess that's around 12%

That's lovely. Why don't you tell that to everyone in the Conference forum, or have they all had enough of you?

The 313 Crewe fans at Tarnsley. I normally take a pic if I'm there so . . . here's the pic.

Down in League One we average 12,000 at home and 1,500 away so I guess that's around 13pc.

Why are you discussing a League Two and Non League team in League One? You always get shown up as this post proves.

Do you really average 1,500 away though?

I presume the 5000 odd they took to MK has skewed the average somewhat

Irrelavant. We average around 1500.

Every club takes a lot to their closest fixtures.

Some kiddies on here really seem to struggle with the concept of an average.

Yeah, our average would still be higher than yours without that 'outlier'.

Yeah, our average would still be higher than yours without that 'outlier'.
If we ignore your two outliers (Cov and MK) then your average comes to 882. We still have to go to Oldham (3,000+) and Barnsley (2,500+) and Port Vale (2,000+) so our averages will probably be very similar at the end of the season. Which is about right, for similar sized clubs.

You reckon you'll manage 2,500 to us? Would be impressed with that tbf.

Fair. I suppose the averages won't change drastically after 1/2 games at this stage of the season. If I do, I'll spoiler it.

I should expect so. It all depends whether we are still in the race for the top 2. However, our annual gentry day has been arranged for this game and that usually pushes our attendance up as most make it the big away day for the season.

You are embarrassing yourself big time this afternoon. Why dont we take out 3,000 at Swindon and 2,000 sell out to come at Yeovil just to prove your weird point.

Your home crowds are significantly lower than ours and have been for a number of yeard. But carry on Tommo.
