Blademan,
I knew there would be no way this match wouldn't make general sale, know loads who can't get tickets.

I've been in contact with the MKD box office since last week expressing my concern about their inadequate allocation bearing in mind they will be about 13,000 empty seats.

Spoke to 2 different managers and both told me that the decision to only give us 7,250 tickets was based them not wanting more away fans than home fans.

They then said additional tickets are available to away fans above the 7,250 in the corporate facilities. So I've already got my 3 tickets last week direct from MK Dons FC. They are charging £65 per ticket included a meal and programme in the away end, colours allowed. Also booked a room in the MK Dons Hilton hotel at £85 b&b, so an expensive weekend for me BUT well worth it.

Another option is £100 per ticket in the main corporate lounge, a neutral area with no colours allowed, included 3 course meal, tea and coffee at half time, free parking etc.

I thought it would easily make gs i was wrong. I've only just bought my ticket now after seeing the article. Winning the league there may slightly erase the awful memory there 5 years ago.

Fortunately I didn't go, MK stadium holds bad memories for us.

I've not been to an away game for 7 years, I'm taking my grandson to his first ever away game. His first ever home game was Spurs in the cup semi final, so I know how to pick occasions.

Like the Northampton game there will be a fair few United fans in the home ends for this game.

It's a pretty awful away trip too. Should be a bit different this time though it's just a last away day party after a good year for once.

Mk sold out 7249 could easily sell another 3k too, not getting any more though unfortunately.

We've been given a few 100 extra tickets on the away end but it's £65 including carvery meal and programme.

Current allocation closer to 8K but there'll be a fair few in the home ends

Edit: Apparently all the £65 tickets have gone. Main corporate lounge sold out.

Just seen wolves had 8.8k a few years ago so that's the maximum a team can get. It wouldn't surprise me if they give us a few more. I suppose if you couldn't get a ticket and the £65 option was your only option then thats fair enough but what a fucking rip off you are basically paying £40 For a carvery.

Don't forget the £65 also includes a programme, team sheet and a raffle ticket ha ha.

I have enough points to purchase my own ticket but like a few people I'm taking my partner who rarely goes to any match. We're making a weekend of it.

The problem is she has no points, so would need to wait until general sale. Was confident there'd be 10K-12K demand for this game, so I used some initiative by contacting MKD direct. Warned them that 7,250 wasn't enough and can we have some more.

They then told me that the options are the normal corporate area at £95 and as a one-off they're opening the lounge at the away end charging £65 so I bought 3 over the phone and they've arrived.

I was too nervous to go to Leicester in 89, also couldn't get a ticket for Darlington in 82. So there was no way I'd miss this. Was willing to pay up to £100 each for 3 tickets, so I'm very happy.

I think the Wolves allocation was a one off and doubt we will be giving any club that amount of tickets anytime soon. 7,000 odd seems to be our max allocation now so I wouldn't take it personally.

Funny how we are pushing corporate tickets for away fans, can only be a good thing for the clubs finances!

Hope there isn't a pitch invasion though and you guys save it for your last game of the season.

Every club needs fans like you, telling the opposition to allocate you more cos its your first away game since your PL days, cracking turnout btw but should be expected in the circumstances.

Couldn't think of anything worse than being stuck in a corporate box while 7,000 of my counterparts are having a party and potentially celebrating winning the league in the away end.

Would rather go to a beamback, if there was/is one.

Ironically it was MK beating Sheff Utd at Stadium Mk at the end of the 2012 season that secured us the title.

He's still sat in the away end just a meal in a lounge 1st.

You wouldn't have to be as Charlton wouldn't take 7000 to an away match. May hate the Blades but can't really have a go at their support. As a neutral it is good for the Championship to have them back, however I'm not a neutral so Bollocks to em.

I've been in two 6,000+ away crowds as a Charlton supporter and quite a few more 4/5000+. Including one for a lunchtime kick-off on a Sunday at Sheffield United. If we were given 7,000 tickets for our final away game where we could win the title, I'm pretty confident we would give it a very good go as our supporters that never go to away games will suddenly turn up too.

Actually, just looked it up. We took over 7000 to Fulham in the FA cup third round in 2012.

Not being funny, but how old are you? If your a youngster fair enough as not many grounds give you 6k nowadays, but if your in your 40s or over then just 2 6k followings is pretty poor.

28.

Those are the ones from the top of my head, went to both Ipswich and Palace in play-off semi-finals in the 90s. No idea if there was as many as 6000 there though. Went to Forest away when we won the Championship in 2000 but think that was only 5000 odd.

Sure we would have had 5/6000 at Liverpool and United in the 90s too in the FA Cup but I wasn't at either.

Even we had 7,000 at MK Dons. It's not hard!

There'll be loads of Blades in the home end at MK, just like on Saturday at Sixfields. Must have been at least a couple of hundred, seems like everyone who went had a couple of Blades fans next to them. Most behaved themselves, although a couple of fights broke out.

Bit of a worry that they will have some in the home ends at our place as it isn't the most welcoming place if they go in the wrong stand. Too much hassle this game good Friday, cant be arsed with it. A Blade celebrating a goal in the Paddock would get messy.

Hoping its a good occasion for both sets of fans to enjoy but think it will be complete chaos, especially after the trouble last season when they had a fraction of the following.

Doubt any will be in your end mate 100 tickets for this game went to general sale so no where near the same demand as the other two. No doubt there will be trouble still at some point.

Oh fair enough, doesn't sound too bad then. Few beers and a bit of grub first.

He has to pay for the beers though. To be honest I'd just fuck the carvery off and accept I've paid £65 For the match ticket and go to the boozers first with the rest of the blades. That would be my advice to sheffsteel anyway.
