Won't be doing a 'League Two South-East Table' next season, will probably encompass half of the division!

Also realised I can nip down to Kelly's in Bethnal Green for pie and mash pre-kick off and Hooters in Notts. Exactly the sort of things we need in League Two.

Will you be updating that map when all results are answered for, shoddy? Would enjoy showing it fellow Shaymen to make them less lachrymose about our pathetic season end.
Yeah... just waiting for the result of Grimsby and Eastleigh so that I can update that as well

I think Becchetti will stay. That's been all the indications so far, I also think he is too stubborn to not make a success out of something. Might be proved wrong, if I am, we're fucked. Like, mega mega fucked.

But I presume we'll have a stupidly big budget again next season. I hope though we don't tie down old players to insane contracts again. Next season our front two will probably be Darius Henderson and Jay Simpson (on minimum £18,000 a week, £936,000 a year, hands up who has a smaller playing budget for their entire team... Yeah, ridiculous wages, woo). That's insane for this level. Mathieu Baudry is also probably gonner be the best centre back in this league and I'm sure the Dagenham lads can vouch for Romain Vincelot being a little bit good. Presuming Dean Cox is going to be off, but should at least get a nice fee for him.

This squad was second favourite for League One at the start of the season, providing we recruit properly and learn from this years mistakes we ought to be top three minimum. Can't take anything for granted, I guess we will see come pre season where we stand.

Fabio Liverani has a meeting with the President sometime soon about his future, not really sure he has any option but to get rid.

If Bristol Rovers come up, I think they'll win the league next season.

They remind me of us when we spent a season in the conference. We went down, rebuilt, the crowds went up to 9-10k, we were beaten to automatic promotion by Barnet, but won the playoffs to get back at the first attempt, then we took the momentum, added a few players and won League 2 the following season.

I was literally making that comparison to someone today.

I think the JPT thank god is based on splitting League One and League Two into north and south. If they split L2 into North and South we would be in the northern section again!

At the moment we have gained Blackpool, Wigan (north), Millwall, Barnet (south), lost Tranmere (north), Cheltenham, Bristol City, MK Dons (south). This should mean we avoid the Narth yeah.

Mansfield used to be moved about all the the time.

We spent about a third of the time in the south section, which makes me feel ill. Keep it as it is

We had Torquay away one year and Hartlepool away the next!

It depends, do they combine all the L1 and 2 teams and then split it into NW/NE/SW/SE or do they split into L1 and L2 first so that each region has an equal number of L1 and L2. Could potentially see Luton in the northern section.

There'll be plenty of northern teams to face in the JPT when the B teams arrive. Newcastle B, Sunderland B, Man United B, Man City B, Everton B, Liverpool B, Hull City B.

How exciting :eye:

I don't know... if Leyton Orient don't win the league next year I'll be amazed.

Because I have nothing better to do - I feared the same. This season though it looks like they took the 48 teams and drew a line - splitting 24 north and 24 south - division did not come into it - so think that us and Luton will be southern just. The irony is MK Dons going up could have saved us!

Means the northern section will be much harder to win then.

Not sure on that. I might be wrong, but I don't recall Carlisle having financial problems like Bristol Rovers do. Their imminent court case against Sainsbury's could well put them into severe financial difficulties if it goes against them. Whenever companies are taking out bridging loans to provide working capital, alarm bells should be going off left, right and centre. Paying £30k per month in interest will cripple you if you can't refinance.

We didn't... but then I didn't know Bristol Rovers were suffering with financial difficulties. We were pretty much the opposite when we went down, having changed ownership early on the season we went down, but too late to save us from relegation (parallels with Tranmere) the positive effect of the new owner really kicked in when we were in the Conference.

It's all cyclical. When we first got into this division in 1991, the nearest teams to us were Northampton Town, Maidstone Utd, Aldershot and Gillingham. Those were the only southern teams in the division then. I think 92/93 was even worse for us as both Maidstone and Aldershot went pop and only Colchester Utd replaced them!

Hooters is fucking shit and anyone who goes there more than once is an idiot.

I remember telling their fans all about Noble on TFF. I explained that he started well for us and he'll appear to be good on first view because he runs around a lot shouting at the opposition and isn't scared to shoot.

But I expect now they've realised that he isn't actually very good.

Noble has been fine, he's easily a middling League One midfielder so should be very good down a level.

Only problem is the constant yellow and red cards, he's clearly thick as shit.

Yeah he got quite a few red cards for us as well.

Maybe he'll be ok at league 2 level, but I was happy we released him and the fact he's been part of back to back relegations from league 1 suggests he isn't cut out for that level.

We'd probably have stayed up if he didn't get suspended so much, don't think we won a single game without him in the team.

Don't get me wrong, he's not great and his positional discipline is terrible, but he's got enough about him to be useful in League One and very good in League Two, particularly in a midfield three as we're likely to play.

Good looking league...a few grim journeys to the north (and one particularly grim trip to Wales), but all in all; away days played in a civilised part of the country...maybe not Crawley or Portsmouth though...

Well I hope he does well because I like the guy. I used to go in an Italian restaurant that he seemed to always be in and spoke to him a few times.

For us he'd score the odd belter of a goal, but in most games he'd spend a lot of energy running around shouting his mouth off and occasionally sliding into silly tackles, but at the end of most games the conclusion was that he hadn't actually done a lot of good.

If you go to nottingham I usually go to the waterfront.

The city recently got voted the poorest city in the country which I think is daft, the city is decent and very under-rated. Great for an away day - If fans have got any sense and playing Mansfield - make a weekend of it and stay in notts - just get the train down
