....and yet that's a massive wasteland west of the M1 but probably doen't change my number of designated driver matches from this season.

A visit to Exeter or Plymouth in nice weather would be a bonus as I have relatives in South Devon. It might not be a bonus for the relatives though :)

What a horrific league for Mansfield and County, cannot remember the last time we had such a lack of decent away days.

Taking issue on that statement a little if I may, both Mansfield and and Nottingham is bang on the M 1 which shrinks travelling time a lot , Poolies have an hours drive before hitting the M1 ,that includes negotiating the A19 and A 1 first, which incase you were unaware , is where roadwork operatives go to for cone putting out practice

Carlisle could go into admin with the state of that map.

Don't forget when we joined the league there was Darlo Gateshead Workington Halifax and a few others , we've not gone anywhere ( literally!! ) it's like we won't leave the league so the league is leaving us!

See the thread about us halting a proposed investment. We're not directly at risk of administration right now but we're following a path towards madness and instability

Isn't that just some dreamer changing his mind? You don't need to develop Bruton Park , it's massive; ok you made a mess of the big stand , but it's still bigger than you need . If whoever was in charge just focused on the squad , with your support you'd soon be up the league

No the problem is the first guy we had didn't change his mind, and had no plans to redevelop BP. We've been badly run for years and lacked investment. We were about to put all that right until this mystery billionaire stuff came along and the guy who actually cares about the club and wants to give us stability was pushed aside so our current owners can chase this mad fantasy of us being the next Swansea City. It won't end well, I certainly don't think there actually will be a billionaire investor. It just seems to be something that's come along to throw a spanner in the works just at the most convenient time for those with a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.

I see. I still maintain that work on the ground should be bottom of the to do list, wait until you have 17000 sell outs week in week out, even then , Do a Notts County, what was it? 4 stands built in pre season ?

I hope it is at the bottom. The investor we were hoping to get in didn't see any great need for a new stadium. The whole new stadium thing is more like one of the aforementioned vested interests.

It would top off an absolutely woeful season which will probably see us relegated out of the football league. We won't get lucky 2 years in a row.

It's only terrible if the other teams are better than us, which is high possibility.

Well if I'm negative next season I get a 24hr ban so any negativity I have towards the new season will come within the next couple of months.
