what's the betting that the fixture computer ignores Hartlepool York and Carlisle , we never get a local game, and before anyone laughs , that means one of you lot are travelling up boxing day or New Years day!

That map is awful!
As far as next season goes we have no idea. Ray Trew said he would be increasing the 2015/16 budget to top 10 having made a cut this season. Whether that is now the case its hard to say. If he did then it would probably be a top 4 budget in League 2.
Personally I think it will be kept the same as this season so top half, no more.
Mind Trew has a habit of f'ing things up.

Here is the question just for the Northern fans here.....Carlisle, Hartlepool, York, Morecambe, Accrington....I suppose Mansfield/Notts also.

with us only have as such 12 games out of 46 being within 2 hours would you rather these 12 games.....

A: All be Saturday/Bank holiday games and thus have long treks as your Tuesday games.

or

B: Use them games to fill the Tuesdays so those are shorter, but means most Saturdays are terrible trips.

?????

God this looks very grim, if we had gone down instead of Notts I think our closest game would have been Mansfield or Accrington, instead we have a very northern/midlands league. Thank you Notts for taking one for us, much appreciated.

No problem happy to help :ffs:.

With regards to the matches I think the closer ones on a Saturday. We used to have a decent following away from home but I expect that to drop by about 30% unless we start the season very well.
With the games so far away the only real option is going by car/coach and as the matches finish at almost 9:45pm there is little time to do anything else afterwards anyway. At least if we play the closer games on a Saturday you can make a day of it or get back with enough time to still do something at night.

I am of the same view, put the long treks on midweek.

Crowd killers are Tuesday games thesedays with the Champs League, so keep the handful of games to bring us away fans and money on Saturdays.

Very good question....... without doubt Christmas new year and easter should be north v north..... as for the tue/sat element that's a toughie , personally , last midweek away was Accrington for me and that meant 11- 30 arriving home for me.. about as late as I want if working next day, that's a tough question, but as I personally won't be going to most of the southern ones , I might as well not go to them on a Tuesday!

I'd rather have the big local games on Saturdays and key dates and just accept this means long treks on Tuesdays... I won't be going to any Tuesday away games, I'm more likely to go to close by away games on a Saturday, so it works better for me personally, and also probably for a lot of fans, meaning those will have big away attendances... and it probably makes no odds to the team, what's the difference between a Tuesday and a Saturday to them? They don't have normal working weeks, and in fact are probably better off having a full day to travel down to the long away games, or a day to unwind if they made the trip down on Monday night. The only people who it would adversely affect (and who I feel for) are the dedicated away fans who try and make every game.

Barnet away on a Saturday though please.

There was an article yesterday in La Gazzetta dello Sport speculating Becchetti might walk away, today the Evening Standard has said Becchetti is looking to sell and has been in contact with an Israeli businessman living in Beijing...

As I said before, this close season gonner be interesting!

Any chance of Carlisle applying to play in the Scottish league - and us to play in France? :)

Crawley aren't rivals....... They're a bloody annoyance.

Of course they are although my dislike of them has diminished a bit since the fat fraudster moved on.

Planning application's gone to Merton Council. Should be heard either this month or next. I doubt that it'll be plain sailing.

Even so, that the closest games next season are York and northampton is ridiculous given the amount of clubs local to us

Hope we have our long trips on a Tuesday still. Boxing Day last year was boring too, and they also ruined Cambridge away by moving it to a Friday night!

Have you sorted out your drainage yet, or are we gonna have to come down there on a Tuesday night in the last week of the season again?

The pitch had a major re-vamp last summer and drains very well now. Not before time as it was an embarrassment.

So then what is a top 10 budget for L2 these days? (although it normally seems to bear no relationship to final league performance - discuss!)
