Says a total impartial chairmen... who if gets his way can pocket upwards of £500k

If a few clubs go bust because of this, as sad as it'll be (and they will come back eventually, even if under a new name) it is absolutely a price worth paying to keep English football alive and in its current format. Lower league football will be non existent in the future if this comes in. The EFL trophy is evidence of that.

These proposals need to be vehemently opposed no matter how much they try and bribe us with.

If a few clubs go bust that will mean hundreds of people losing their jobs, hundreds of kids losing their places in academies as well as the likely mental health issues this will have in communities that are already struggling.

It's a shit situation but the smaller clubs won't get a bailout for nothing, so get round the table and negotiate.

But you're looking short term not long term. When English football is dead, how many people will lose their jobs? When the average attendance is 400, how many staff do you expect clubs to pay?

Short time bribe money to save a few clubs in the immediate future for the death of all clubs we know and love long term. It's really not a price worth paying.

Maybe people just don't like you and enjoy annoying you. Think on that.
You're not just annoying me, you're annoying people who click this thread to actually read about this topic. If you don't like me add me to ignore mate. I aint here for pointless arguments. I've given my points and reasons. Its okay to disagree. I'm not forcing you to side with me politically, but your relentless attacks are childish.

Best way to negotiate is to carefully and meticulously read the proposal in front of them and then draft a response to be published for ALL fans to read explaining why it is unacceptable then walk out giving nothing away. Make it clear who is in the wrong and why it is not for the good of the game. Its either that or just roll over and act like a whore. Nobody respects whores.

I was ignoring you but you insist on making points that are either contradictory or confused. One minute you are all in favour of clubs standing on their own two feet, then you are the champion of lower league football. I think the Ollie Watkins money has affected your judgement. You are either in favour of the dog eat dog world where the weak are eaten by the strong or you are in favour of a fair and decent system where all are given a chance to prosper to their natural level. You cannot have it both ways.

I think you're not only unable to read, but you haven't got a clue about capitalism, socialism, communism or football. So you're on my ignore now. You can crack on and reply to as many of my posts as you like in an ill-educated manor for attention but I shan't be responding

Was all for this Sunday when the story broke. Thought it would bail a few clubs out. Sort of siding now to reject it as more and more comes out........The latest being the 250m initial payment is to be deducted from the 25%

Clubs selling their own TV rights will mean the next round of TV rights will be at a much reduced rate
League cup no longer to be with us followed by the FA cup in the next five years.....Within ten years the will be a Premier League 2....Then the closed shop will come.

No real fan would want to see their club go out of business and shouldn't gloat if a rivals does. Gloat if they get relegated for certain, no problem, but not if they disappear. That could very well happen a lot this season but it shouldn't justify going along with this thing. It doesnt sit right. I also think it will lead to a closed shop and none of us are likely to be involved no matter how much we wish it. This is not being done for anybody but the so called big 6.

Got to be honest, I have never at any point "wished" for Vale to be in the top flight... all the plastics out the woodwork etc.

You want to to try living in the same town as Liverpool 'fans'. A more nauseating intolerable bunch of happy clapping plastics you could never meet. Its revolting. I would rather spend time stuck in a lift with Dale Vince lecturing me on eating habits. Thats how bad some of them are. 75% have never been to Anfield.

An absolute disgrace, and anyone advocating for these proposals to pass is a moron in the kindest of words.

"The £250m to EFL clubs is a ‘prepayment’ to EFL clubs ‘advanced from substantially future revenues of the EFL’. Thus £250m will be subtracted from EFL clubs future share of PL TV deals. Remember EFL clubs won’t be entitled to a share of the PL rights sold by individual clubs "

You lot are fucking idiots. I hope all your clubs go bust for even considering these proposals.

You’re so weird. Literally everyone disagrees with the proposals, yet your kicking off and wanting teams to go bust for....... what exactly?

So that they will have nobody to play.

I reckon bin this season. It’s fucking tedious already. Results are all over the place, no fans watching it. What’s the point in playing. The Crewe/Oxford thing will repeated ad nauseam throughout the season.

The semi-acceptable bits imo.

£250m bailout that isn't an advancement on future payments.

Fucking off parachute payments.

Fucking off the League Cup, providing all the prize money and Europa League spot from it goes to the EFL Trophy, and b teams are kicked out of that.

The big 6 negotiating their own TV deals, providing the 25% for the EFL comes out of their deals, not the rest of the Premier league's.

Straight majority vote in PL as oppose to 14-6.

I mean, what? You think the proposals would even exist without and with those clauses?

Yeah I get that. But come on, you're asking them to renegotiate the entire premise of their proposals..

To me, even under your criteria it is massively unacceptable, but better than the current position, obviously. If all your points aren't met then are you for or against it?

Against.

What they get out of this is the chance to negotiate their own TV deals, which is probably the biggest thing to them, and fuck off the league cup which means their poor pampered players don't have to play all these tiring games.

Special voting rights are not negotiable. No one will accept that.

So they won't have a lot more power then they do now.

And I wont accept any of the deal

Most fans didn't accept EPPP or b teams in the EFL Trophy either. Which ultimately made fuck all difference.

Best hope is a watered down version of project big picture, or the government step in and bailout clubs.

EPL Rejected the deal but want a 20 club review...

Big news is an EFL bailout agreed but likely to be L1 and 2 only.

Govt won't step in. EPPP and B teams is a sham. I agree.

But the FA are on our side.. this time.

I think

Doubt clubs outside the top six will want the league cup gone, especially if the top six don’t want to compete in it.

Its turned into a bit of a farce recently but its still a decent earner for the lesser clubs like us in L2 if we get a big side away.

Binning off the league cup is fine, the only clubs that care too much about it are league 1 and 2 clubs, so just put all the prize money into the EFL Trophy, fuck the b teams off and give the winners a Europa League spot. Would make it a worthwhile (and winnable) competition.

It depends.

The League Cup currently makes up 30% of the EFL solidarity payment so it's quite a lucrative competition where most L1 and L2 clubs only play one or two games in. If that 30% money is still in the pot somewhere then fine.
