Sheridan is a dick but he's saved Oldham from relegation twice in the past, he seems to do well with them for whatever reason.

That wasn't under their current ownerships handcuffs though so this could be different.

This is bad news for our survival hopes.

Sheridan saves Oldham from the drop. It’s what he does.

Bit like how big Sam did in Prem, but stuff like that always comes to a end.

Well, that fucking fraud will put a fair few on the gate when we play Oldham in March. He deserves the extreme dogs abuse he will certainly get. Honestly, I’d worry for his safety if I actually gave a fuck.

Hope somebody lamps the cnut.

“John Sheridan will have managed Oldham during the premiership of every Prime Minister after John Major.”

(Not fact checked but a good stat if true)

Kenny Jackett will be more or less gone at Orient I'd say within the next 7 days.

I reckon Carlisle, Walsall, Bradford and Orient should all sack their managers. Then draw lots for which of the 4 managers goes to which club - obviously the loser will be the team that gets the same manager back again.

Hopefully Adams gets the boot soon. We've won 5 games since August which is absolutely shocking.

At start of this thread in, I think, 2018 the creator posted a list of clubs with their managers at start of season.
Can't see it this season. So the list below is of current managers. Most were in situ at start of season but it seems Carlisle, Colchester, Hartlepool, Newport, Oldham, Scunthorpe & Stevenage did all have a change.
I'll leave it to others to remind us of previous manager's names at start of season (because I cannot remember them).

7 is a low amount of changes at this stage.

Looks like with the exception of Adams on that list pretty much everyone else is relatively secure. In Adams case it just looks a bad fit. Maybe Taylor at Walsall but I doubt that any time soon.

Simon Weaver at Harrogate has probably got the most secure job in football. Helps when your dad is the owner

Apart from his 10 month scouting mission in Scotland Micky Mellon has been at Tranmere since October 2016.

Been told that our board in the short term will be giving Jackett every chance of turning our form around. This is likely to be another 4-6 weeks at least IMO, after tomorrow we do have 6 winnable fixtures after that.

Injuries and Covid have hit us hard, no doubt about that, but poor squad planning from our board as well as inexperienced midfield signings are now really hurting us.

Kenny is gonna need to get a lot more out of what he has though, because on Saturday the players especially in the first half, gave up.

Are you maybe being harsh though on Jackett? Like us you had virtually a month plus wiped out due to covid and postponed games (you could see the gulf in quality between our first meeting and the one last month) and as with Carlisle in similar circumstances last season it can massively disrupt form and knock you back.

We’ve took weeks to start looking back to normal again (and as yet that’s arguably only one game so may have been a flash in the pan).

Rowberry looked like his head was going to explode on Saturday. Perhaps needs to calm down a bit before he does himself a mischief?

Possibly yes, it’s not a total disaster yet and not all his fault, Covid certainly did and continues to give us issues.

The problem is that whilst we are only narrowly losing/drawing games and the margins are slim, we don’t ever look like scoring - 1 goal in 7 games, this can lead to a crowd growing more discontent a lot quicker! His reluctance to make subs is also pissing alot of the fan base off - some players he just flat out makes the point of not using them.

Harrogate could fall back into the regionals and Dad wouldn't sack ickle Simon.

I remember people calling for Weaver's head when we were in the NLN together about 8 years ago.

I wonder if Weaver has had interest from other league clubs since they were promoted. He is doing a very good job in my opinion.

If he had interest, you wonder whether he would be able to breakaway from his dad and take on a new challenge with a bigger club?

He's probably on a very good wage with them for this level of football I'd imagine, it'd have to a very decent league 1 side to tempt him away from such a cushty job
